The Squidoo content was added during September, 2014. Traffic increased from September 6 – 26, partly because of the 26,000 new authors checking their Hubs and partly because those new articles were still ranked on search engines from their Squidoo positions and the URLs were redirected to their new URLs on HP. By September 27, with the new Google evaluation of the HP site, traffic plunged and has never recovered to its previous levels. So, no, that temporary traffic was not ultimately a good thing in the long-run.
Only HP has the information about the site's internal and external traffic percentages. You can check on your own Hubs, though.
