What a great evening on hubpages! This hub challenge has been so inspirational. A lot of great writing has been produced in the last 3 days. I just finished reading about the The Lizzie Borden Murders, and I must say that this is one of the most informative pieces I've read on Lizzie Borden, including trial information and pictures.
I'm really intrigued by stories about true crime. After watching, George and Cindy Anthony on Larry King Live tonight, I have to wonder if a person like Lizzie Borden would have been acquitted today. Would circumstantial evidence seal her fate? Her stories, much like those spun by Casey Anthony, seemed to change over time. Suspicious behavior, tampering with evidence (Lizzie burned her clothes, Casey Anthony's mother washed hers), it really makes you wonder what Lizzie Borden's trial would be like if it took place today.
Thanks for your encouragement all!
This is working!!!
Unfortunately, not able to make comments tonight as I had planned and hope. But I will tomorrow, PROMISE!
EM...and everyone, really....try not to work in a linear fashion; work on many Hubs at once. See one piece there, another piece there. It helps!
Now, mind you, I *do* work on my hubs one at a time generally, but this isn't because I always have. I just, as many know, have a certain...inspiration. I dream my hubs, meditate on things, play with them, and ask myself what media I've seen to support them.
Media, my friends, I think...is a key thing. I'm not asking you to use it all the time, or to copy my work verbatim, but I can tell you that I am becoming successful on HP, and I think this is why.
Or, it could be my personality. But I doubt that.
Yours ethereally, eternally, with love,
lxxy
In fact, whether I create a Hub 2morrow or not, your ish will be the first stuff I look through. And as before; whether or not you comment/read my stuff, concentrate on each other.
Again, I am but the node to connect.
The court jester.
Least of all, anyone's good view point.
Sweet dreams all,
lxxy
(Now recharching on alcove...)
lxxy, I had three on the go at once at one point yesterday
Hi EM, how are you doing today? I hope you have a better day than yesterday. Keep your chin up, you are a good writer.
Hi EM, how are you doing today? I hope you have a better day than yesterday. Keep your chin up, you are a good writer.
I'm *tired* today darnit! I wrote a 2000 word long hub and then deleted it! LOL Working on #11 right now... Deciding to Breastfeed.
Today, unfortunately is a bad day for me. I'm in so much pain with my back, am irritable, got dizzy and fell in the tub, just not a good day.
Go EM!
Good morning guys, will be responding to your Hub posts from yesterday shortly.
KEEP IT UP!
Just remember, the voices in my head believe in you.

FutonFraggle's obsession with the Caylee Anthony Murders is neat, you get to even see all the vids in the episode.. http://hubpages.com/hub/Cindy-and-Georg … -King-Live
Windows 7 has been getting a lot of blurbs. dwilliamson's take on it http://hubpages.com/hub/Windows-7-Experience was pretty well done, I thought.
Oh the humanity! The horror!
...of Amityville.
Well done!
http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Amityville-Horror
I will have to read this one during the day. I don't want to have nightmares!!!!
It deals a lot more with the crime than with the "events" that occurred afterwards, Debbie It needs a bit of polish, but it's hard since I can't find a lot of info on the murders without buying books.
I wouldn't watch Lorraine Warren during the day though
Okay EM I just read your hub on Amityville Horror. It is 11:23 pm where I am so I hope I don't have nightmares just kidding. That was a really great story.
Janetta did well with her hub http://hubpages.com/hub/A-Little-Insight about what made her the way she is.
It's a very...electrifying read.

It did, Susan! But the hub didn't make any sense, so better to start over again, delete it (best option) or... Well, I don't know what or is. Publish it and cringe lol
Okay guys, my sequel to "Message of Hope" has been penned.
http://hubpages.com/hub/timegoback
Hopefully it imparts something useful.
Be looking through this thread soon!
luv,
lxxy
EM--My goal is sixty. More of a personal goal than a challenge goal. I guess technically i am doing thirty but hoping for sixty
I don't think I'm going to make it to 100 Janetta, largely because I didn't factor in for personal illness or the possibility that I would *want* to do detailed, researched hubs (which *is* what I'm wanting to do!).
Hey EM, when you do your research, where do you usually get your information from and do you put the name of your sources in your hubs. Also, I've used youtube video's on my hubs. Are we supposed to ask for permission to use those or is just anything on youtube up for grabs. Also I noticed you had photographs of the Borden's on your hub Lizzie Borden, did you have to get permission to use those. Sorry for being so stupid but I just wanted to know.
Debbie,
I look for copyright notices. If I don't see one, I use the images. There are other options, including searching through flickr and getting permission to use images there.
As for Youtube, those are free to grab and embed unless otherwise indicated. No problems there unless they state that you aren't allowed to embed them.
Usually older pictures like Lizzie aren't subject to copyright since the person who took the photos is dead.
As for crediting my sources, they are always linked in the links
Arggghhh...annoyed, aggravated and frustrated. Started two hubs and saved both unpublished. Haven't finished any today and have zero motivation. BLAH. Could I be getting burnt out lready?? I've only written eight hubs for the challenge!!!!
I keep wandering back to the forums and bouncing around instead of writing hubs.
Believe me you will get the help you need. Hubpages has a tutorial as well that is really helpful.
I meant to reply to this earlier! I'm so sorry it's been ignored!
Just copy and paste the url from your address bar in your browser.
Ohhhh thankyou EM ,Izzy actually emailed me and told me too, I actually had done it but didnt relise thats what it was called....doh me...but my friend can you please tell me how to do a sign up url ? I promise I wont ask anything else...except about the cat?? what happened ,did he come out
Is this thread going to turn into the chicken thread with 1,000 replies??? LOL just thinking outloud instead of writing hubs...again.

lol Eaglekiwi, don't worry about the questions
Yes, he came out. He was out yesterday, being all friendly. But if we move too fast, he bolts lol
The other one came through surgery just fine. He seems to be healing exceptionally well. The incision was very red yesterday but he's his normal self today, though you can tell that he's in pain. Made me cry yesterday! But the vet says that he was the best behaved cat they had that day! That touched me! He's my favorite kitty (the one who DID get neutered lol)
I think what you mean is URL trackers. Go here to view your trackers. Your account came with one or you can create more. Once you have done so, take any url at hubpages (for example, to my new hub about breastfeeding in public) and insert the tracker with a _ after /hub/. Mine would look like this:
http://hubpages.com/hub/_1ujtiwirvvvo9/ … omen-Do-it
Please ignore the excessive URL. I keep forgetting to change them but won't be any more! LOL
I am new too, just write about your passion. For me my passion is politics so I just write about all things political. As time passes you will find it refreshing to be writing about what you love. Read my hub if you love politics
#25 of 100 - http://hubpages.com/hub/Camping-with-my-Netbook
al right everyone--I finally published another hub. number ten in the challenge. Ironically it is about writers block LOL
http://hubpages.com/hub/How-Not-To-Get- … ters-Block
Excellent hub on writer's block, Janetta. Writer's block is not something that I have to worry about much though

Hey, can I join your guys discussion group here? Stumbled upon this by accident! Please explain backlinks to me, EM seems to be a boffin expert type!
I will try (not feeling well) if you can tell me what kind of backlinks you're referring to?
I know that Eaglekiwi was asking how to make links on the forum (which she referred to as backlinks). Or are you referring to the type that count for SEO?

This is actually my first attempt of writing an article based on keyword research so it will be interesting to see how it goes.
yeah got a pissed off with this challenge thing this morning and wrote about it http://hubpages.com/hub/When-Hub-Weeds- … y-Hubpatch have seen so many crappy titles, maybe the content is good but if the title is crappy I don't go there.
Cindy's hub about hubweeds is great! She put into words how many of us arefeeling about this challenge and as always, she did a great job at it. Thanks for this one Cindy

Hi guys! Sorry, again, to have failed to be some sort of leader. I will be working seven days as I previously...but I am visiting your Hubs, just got through reading and commenting on 10.

Hey everybody!
I am, essentially, "dropping out" of the challenge. I just can't keep the quality in my hubs (at least not the way I write) and continue to work at this level.
I'll be around though. Just no longer shooting for 100.
Alright, here's my 8th: http://hubpages.com/hub/polytixtrix
And dwilliamson, I'm getting to yours. You're publishing them faster than I can keep up.
Keep up the good work!
Sorry, Ixxy. I just have lots of ideas to get out.

I just updated my HubPages profile a couple days ago and in my profile linked to some of my favorite hub topics that I wrote about. Is this bad to do this since on the profile page we have those same hubs randomly come up below? I just don't want overkill but like the thought that I've got my...

Have you ever used a Poll capsule in one of your hubs?My first time was today, in four new hubs which make "A Hitchhiking Saga." Fun way to invite participation from readers!Where have you put the code outside Hubpages to bring traffic to your hub?

What are the potentially cons of not using a comment box?I'm tired of answering the same questions over and over again. I'm tired of getting rude comments. I'm tired of dealing with it basically. I want to help people, but answering the same question over and over again or having to defend myself...

It is important to actually read the hub you are commenting on. It seems that every time I publish a hub I get at least one comment saying something that proves they didn't read the hub. In the future I will be deleting these comments even though they are well intentioned. It will better for your...

MG Singh wrote a hub on gun control in the U.S. There are a lot of comments on it. I also wrote a comment, with my opinion (which had its origins in a research paper I wrote for a public health class a couple of years ago).Jackburton had already written a comment that was almost a hub in itself....
