I wasn't worried, just a bit surprised. In all the years I've been here I've never known the team to miss paying the writers here. My own payment just came through, so thank you so much for your efforts.
Here's an update. We still haven't heard back on the support ticket with PayPal. It was filed last night and they said they would respond within 24 hours (so we should hear from them by 5pm pacific today). This issue revolves around an error message from the payment api. We submitted the payments, but an error code was returned that doesn't have sufficient documentation to resolve.
Our engineers are working on a few alternatives. We know that for some of you, the payments are critical. I'm really sorry if you are finding yourself in a bind because you counted on the payment. The team is doing everything we can to process payments as soon as possible.

I understand. These are tough times and every penny counts. Of course hubpages will pay. I have had missed payments, but it is always fixed. I have been paid. It is good to foster communication. No system is perfect. But the sky is not falling.
