Hi Cara, Sophie, Denise, Beth, Steven, Reminder, and Mark. I hope those of you in eastern USA are safe and sound. I haven't been keeping up with the news but just heard on NPR that its heading to NY? I hope Mark takes this seriously and seeks shelter somewhere far from the ocean.
It will hit around midnight eastern time. I am in Montreal and w will have some strong winds monday but the worst will be in New York.
Hey Reminder! Ah, honesty is the best policy. Sometimes it's difficult to accept the truth and even more difficult to be honest with ourselves. Follow your heart...it's always right. I'm only a couple of hours away from you - Nation's Capital. We're cloudy and rainy this morning, with a lot of rain for the week.
Hopefully, our friends south of the 49th are fine.
@ Mark -- keep and be safe!!! Thinking of you and Linda. xox
@ Sofs, Denise, Klara, Cardelean -- hope you gals are dry and safe too! enjoy the remainder of your weekend!
@ Steven -- we keep missing each other. maybe this week we'll cross paths.
xox
@ mtsi -- is the top still down? A few more weeks here and then it's button down time for winter. =
o.O
@ logic -- need your luv' babe!! xox
enjoy your Sunday y'all!!! oxxxxxxxxxxxxxoooo
Beth , we made it through. I made it through many downs and it was my final test of being strong and I passed.... Miss you Hope all is well with you Beth and not having anything like me and Denise were going through. That's some scary stuff and I don't frighten too easy but I don't like being hit with hurricane, tornadoes, earthquake all in 2 -3 days,
Love ya
xoxoxoxox
thanks klara, but I live in texas, so I think i should be safe, as far as I know. the only thing I have to worry about is this damn heat, and my air conditioning is out. ugh! However, I appreciate the concern though, but i'll be fine. I just hope Denise, Mark and everyone else that lives in the East is doing well.
Hey steven Thanks my friend. still alive and kicking, Both houses were fine with no damage thank God. I was worried to death of basement flooding the day before settlement and the shore house being blown away. I have turned more gray over the past couple of month . Need to buy Touch of gray
Well the most important thing is that nobody got hurt and/or killed during this whole incident. After all, material things can always be replaced, but you can never replace a loved one. I'm glad to hear you and your family made it out okay.
BETH, KLARA, DENISE. CARA. SOPHIE I MISSED YOU ALL SO MUCH !!!!!
I HAVE MADE IT THROUGH THE HURRICANE, EARTHQUAKE, TORNADOES WARNINGS ALL OVER THE PLACE AROUND MY DELANCO HOUSE, SEWER BACK UP IN HOUSE THAT I AM SELLING AND S T I L L DIDN'T BREAK OR CRACKED THE CAN OF BEER OPEN
I AM SO FORTUNATE THAT NOTHING HAPPENED TO EITHER HOUSE. I WAS EVACUATED FROM SHORE HOUSE AND THE GIRL THAT BOUGHT IT WILL NOT SIGN HER PAPERS UNTIL MONDAY AT 3 PM SO OFF I WE WENT BACK TO DELANCO HOUSE WITH THE DOG AND THE BLOW UP MATTRESS. THE DELAWARE RIVER IS ONE BLOCK FROM MY HOUSE AND WILL CREST OVER THE NEXT DAY OR SO. I PRAY IT WILL BE OK CAUSE I STILL OWN IT UNTIL MONDAY AT 3
DENISE..... I HOPE YOU ARE OK FROM THE HURRICANE. I WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU WITH ALL THE RAIN ETC., I HAVE TO SIGN OFF UNTIL TONIGHT . HAVE TO GET THIS HOUSE BACK IN SHAPE FROM EVERYTHING WE PUT AWAY FOR THE HURRICANE.
MY LOVE FOR GOD AND MY CROSS SAVED US
LOVE YA GIRLS AND SEE YOU A BIT LATER , MARKY IS SMILING NOW
I'm glad you and Denise are okay. We saved ourselves this time around. We usually get them but it derailed this time around.
So Nice to hear from you Klara. Once we get into winter here I will then determine if I will buy a small place in Florida. You the snow birds. This winter I will make my decision . 6 months at the Jersey Shore and 6 months in Sunny Florida. We shall see.
Linda says I'm crazy, but we will see what she says when she is digging out of 2 foot of snow. Her tune will change for sure. I know her too well
Miss ya Klara
xoxoxox
So glad to hear that you are well Mark and that the houses did not suffer any damage. As I was watching the news today I wondered how you were doing. Of course we are much too far inland for any of it to bother us. Mom is safe but is working and making that long commute so there hasn't been much time for her to catch up here.
Remainder and Beth, stay safe and dry! It sounds like it won't be as bad for you guys.
Have a great week everyone! It's time for this teacher to go back to work. Summer just never lasts long enough!
Hi Cara and thanks for thinking of me as we really went through it over the last few days. But all good now. I missed talking to you and your mom , Beth and Klara too. I am lost without at least saying hi to everyone here everyday
I'm glad you and your mom are good and out of harms way. Good luck starting in with your teaching again and YES you are so right, Summer just flies by too fast. Good night and see you I hope tomorrow. If you talk to mom give her a big hello for me and a (((((HUG)))))
Hey Cara,
hope all is well and give everyone a hug and kiss!
Hi everyone. We are having good weather after the hurricane. Sunshine!!!
same here but the rivers over 9 foot above flood stage and very bad, I took me 2 1/2 hours to get to work, The roads where a parking lot all RT 295- I195 all the words I use to get to work
Yeah it will probably take a while before it comes back as it was. Wish you all the best Mark.
Thanks so much. tomorrow might be a bit better I hope
Hi All-I survived a night out in my car during Hurricane Irene when a tree blocked my path on my way home. Unfortunately fallen trees were over all 3 routes back home and I was not going to back track due to the water; fallen branches and downed wire. It was okay once I ducked under a roof of a gas station and stayed put till morning. I had plenty of water, food, phone and a flashlight and the sheriff checked on me twice.
Hope all is well. I will be out of commission for awhile-have started my midnight shift as of tonight and my retreat is this w/e.
Take care,
Denise
Not first and won't be last for long, but I can't wait to be in the middle and forgotten! WOO!
@clean life and denise
I'm sorry to hear you guys had to go through so much within these past few days. I'm glad to hear you both are okay, as I know it must've been a very scary experience to go through all that.
OMG I am glad all of you are well,, Mark, Denise, Klara, Cara, Steven..and Danette
Take care...love you all God Bless
Hello my dear Sophie, All is good at least me and linda, and I hope all is well with our other girls. Love ya much too Sophie. We all survived the storms, hurricanes, tornados and earthquake all in a matter of 3 days
Thanks Sofs. I love you too. I hope you have a great day today in case I don't see you.
HELLO EVERYONE!
It's a beautiful rainy day here in South Florida. I love the smell of wet grass! I hope you're all having a good week.
@ Mark and Denise -- I'm so relieved that you are both ok!!! I was worried about you both and couldn't stop thinking about you. I've been in two hurricanes -- literally -- one in a plane and on in our 50th floor hurricane proof building (but no one told me it was only the 50th floor that was hurricane proof. We lost one staff member on a lower floor). Like you Mark, I've had one earthquake in the last week and a half; today, the winds are not as strong but there is still rain and dark clouds. I'm glad that it's over -- and that you are all safe and sound.
@ Denise -- have a good rotation! The weekend is only a short hop and skip away!
@ Sofs -- hey beautiful!! How are you?
@ Steven -- lots of love, sweetie! <3
@ Card -- oh yea! summer is much too short!! I've just re-registered my gang into new schools today. So much paper work!! I don't know how I'm going to do this year -- 3 different schools (high school, middle school and elementary school) in three different directions!!! Yikes!! I'm pushing my eldest to get her drivers so she can help drive!!! (how desparate I sound, no?) ha ha ha Happy first day at school to you! Hope it goes smoothly!
@ Klara -- my girl!! Where have you been? Or is it just me??? Hope you're safe and sound too!
@ mtsi -- where'd you go? is it dry there yet?
@ logic -- need some of your lovin' !!!
Good night y'all!! Take care, stay dry and safe and talk with ya soon! <3
I am so sorry I missed you again dear Beth. I miss you much and also glad you are safe and sound. I didn't know you were going through the same as Denise and I were going through. We all made it and are safe and sound. The power of Prayer right?
Linda and I and my children and of course our dog (King Tut)are all doing just fine
Love you and miss you too Beth. Be safe and don't stay away from here too long Okay!!
Mason is waiting for his afternoon cocktail to be served Poolside
Thanks. Love you too. I hope you have a nice week Beth.
BETH!!! Hugs and Kisses for someone I misses!
Hey klara are you forgetting me
How are you Klara. My PC crapped out on me. The second one in 2 months. They are both old so I had to break out the good old Notebook. Old faithful
Went car shopping tonight. Have to get rid of the chrysler 300 C Linda car. rear wheel drive with a Hemi engine. Not a good car for the snow coming in a few months you know. I looked at a Mazda3 Hatchback . It is a really sporty car and Lin likes it even though I will be driving it. I wanted a Wrangler so I can go out on the beach like I did with my truck, but not a good ride when you are going 120 miles each day to work, plus they are not good on gas.
I'll let you know what comes of it ..
Have a great rest of the week Klara
xoxoxox
Marky..there you are.. and the ever elusive Beth...
HI Beth... you busy lady...
HI Denise, Cara, Klara, Steven and the ever banned Cags..
LOL I never seem to be doing much these days but running around in circles.. trying to get my traffic back.. Finally there seems to be a slight increase.. Gosh it was weird to see that plunge happen .
TA DA! Where is that prize? Oh, I get it...I am always a winner! Because I am the only me on the planet!
@ Klara -- awww, I misses you too!!! Lovely maple leaf -- the ones here are just beginning to show signs of turning. that means fall and winter are on their way......
@ Mark -- I'm checking out the Mazda 5. Great on gas and large enough to seat 6 -- can even fit two mountain bikes inside. If I go with it, I'll be picking it up in late October.
I'm fine... just wet and rainy here still. Tons of thunder and lightening. xox
@ Sophs -- guess who's the busy one? Me thinks it's you!!
@ Denise -- oh yea, ur on night shift. Hope you're resting well during the day.
@ Steven -- write the reviews that you would like to. All business and no play = no fun = don't want to write much. The Boy in Striped Pajamas is worth the review and write up -- you'll get a good following on that one.
@ Card -- how's the first week going? My two high school students start this morning -- 0730h start this week then 0750h starts next week!! How crazy is that?!?
Off to my early meetings *yawn*
Have a great day y'all!!! I miss y'all!!!! oxoxo
So nice to hear from you Beth.. I glad you are doing fine too. good luck of the Mazda. have you heard any bad about the Mazda3 5 door.? It only has 13,000 mile on it and it is a 2010. I wonder how they drive in the snow? Would you know Beth. I read lot of reveiws and some say it is great and some say horrible . Some compare it to the BMW as far as driving and all the extras
Ihaven't driven one myself, but I know many people at the hospital who are driving them, inlcuding the 5 door. They drive them year round and have had no problems in the snow with them. I'm delaying a bit on the Mazda 5 just to try it on the snow -- hopefully, by the end of October there will be snow! ha ha ha Yea, I'm looking forward to snow just for this season.
I understand what you're saying about being debt free. I have been with vehicles since I began university, but the one that I have had has just eaten approximately $7k and still not running properly -- always something else going out on it.
So, decision was about whether i put more money into or not. Easy answer: not simply becuase with a new vehicle, no worries (touch wood and hope it's not a lemon) will pose no repairs for a few years.
Gotta run.... so tired of packing and unpacking and packing.... And, so late on my projects at work. Not enough time to write, work and move!!!
Enjoy the remainder of your Labour Day weekend!!
xox
Hey Beth So nice to hear from you. I scratched the Mazda 3 and boought a throw a way Neon. for Linda. Great little car and no payments. i just put 4 new tires on it for her, We had one years ago and it's a good reliable car for her. i'm going to keep the 300C for a bit and when it snows I will use the Neon front wheel drive to get to work if I am still working in the cemeteryLOL
have a great rest of the Labor Day weekend dear.
(((HUGS & KISSES 2 U)))))
Well you do make a very valid point Beth, but I tend to believe in Michael Jordan's old philosophy, "If something isn't broken, then why bother fixing it?" Besides, I doubt Gene Siskel, Roger Ebert, and Peter Travers ever just stuck to reviewing films that they wanted to do; thus I try to emulate much of my critique style after them while cleverly learning from their mistakes too.
However, i can see you're point, as that's one of the many reasons why I published my last few hubs on topics that I'm sure nobody would care about other than me. lol. To coin a phrase from Glen Rice, "Numbers don't lie." However,I'll make special exemption for "Boy in the striped pajamas" since everyone here thinks very highly of the film. However, it'll have to come after a couple other reviews though, as I want to publish my reviews for "Fright Night" and "Help" before they go down in popularity considerably. After those reviews, "Boy in the striped pajamas" will be on deck after that. Who knows? Maybe if it does do as well as you're suggesting, then I'll shift my focus on what films to review. However, I don't know if it will realistically speaking, as even people that I met who know far more about films than I do tell me that nobody really likes reading reviews about older movies. In fact, when I first started writing for hubpages, a hubber left a comment telling me to stop f***ing around, and review modern films instead, as nobody cares about films released back in the stone age. Of course, he was referring to my review of "50 First Dates", and I'll admit it's not a great review at all...or decent one for that matter. However, it was written back on myspace when I didn't really care too much about quality at the time, and I just mainly wrote film reviews for fun in my free time. Take in the fact that I didn't even bother editing the stupid review before transferring it here, and I can see why the guy would say that. Granted, the guy did seem like a bit of a jerk, but he did bring up a good point, as even my brother (who knows way more about films than I do too) agreed with him wholeheartedly.
Although I still manage to review a few old films every now and then, but most of the time I try to make the current ones a higher priority, since I know it's all about the consumer. Although, you do make a good point that writing about films that really don't peak your interest do tend to weigh in on you after a while like "The Smurfs 3-D" movie. ugh. In fact, that was actually the exact reason why I created "film critic smurf" to analyze the movie instead of me, as it was way more fun writing a review while pretending to be a fictional character rather than actually writing the review as my own persona...if that makes sense. I know that probably makes me sound a bit nuts, but to be honest, I don't even consider myself normal anymore. Besides, my readers loved it, and the fake interview that I had with Papa Smurf was much more fun writing than the review too. To be honest, I have something similar in mind with the upcoming review on the new "chipmunks" film. However, the comedy sketch, before the actual review, that I have in mind is...much darker, so I'm having to work on toning down the idea a bit to where it won't be too controversial for hubpages if you know what i mean.
Trust me, I have a very warped sense of humor that I don't show people, as most people that I do show that side of me to always say things like "FREAK", or worse...they won't laugh with me at all and just stare at me as if I was a fool; thus I try to tone back as much as I can. It doesn't always work out that way, but I try my best.
Hmm...maybe that's why I always love watching comedians like Bob Sagget, George Carlin, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and etc because they always get away with saying the exact same crap that I wish I could get away with saying on a daily basis. However, if I did say it, I know NOBODY would laugh, but probably think...I was strange..knowing my luck. Sorry, as you know, I have a tendency to over think a lot of things, but I guess old habits are hard to break. Anyway, i appreciate the advice though, and I'll definitely keep it in mind. Thanks. xoxo
Can't think of what he would have told me if he saw my ''Grand Illusion'' review. That movie is from 1937! But in my opinion, I believe that the best movies are found in the ''stone age'' like he said. When I see a movie, no matter of the era and if I liked it, I always try to write a review and HOPE to let someone discover an hidden gem just like I did.
Well I certainly don't disagree with you, as it's hard to find any modern films that'll measure up to the classics. Plus, it's always refreshing knowing that you can sometimes review films that most readers never heard of like "Super (2011)" and "Another Earth." Of course, this is another reason why I do allow myself to make certain exceptions. Granted, current movies that are normally blockbusters and/or critically acclaimed are always going to be deemed a higher priority when I select which films to review. However, I do try to factor in as many requested reviews, and projects that I want to do as much as I can. Believe me, it's not as bad as I made it out to be. Besides, nobody asked me to do hubs on Dragon Ball, but I did it anyway as sort of a breather so to speak.
Besides, watching too many bad movies help you appreciate you the great ones better. j/k However, I do appreciate the advice, and I'll definitely post a review up for "Boy in the Striped Pajamas" once I get "The Help" finished.
Besides, as an amateur film critic, I feel it's my moral obligation to review not only films that appeal to me, but as many movies as humanly possible that'll appeal to everyone else too...even if they're films that i would never even think of seeing on my own that I know will suck like "Transformers" and such. Besides, the way I think of it is that it's kind of like playing for a baseball team. You know, those guys that often sacrifice their bodies to get beaned, so they can get on base. Well, that's me whenever i review a bad movie. Nobody likes to get beaned (just like nobody really likes seeing a bad film), but they take one for the team anyway so to speak. That's kind of the way I see it anyway, as I'm getting hit for the team!
Hi All!!!
Busy, busy, busy! It never ceases to amaze me how crazy the start of the school year can be. Oh well, not much I can do about that. Hope everyone is well. It seems like everyone is just as busy since there haven't been too many posts here lately.
Good luck with those schedules Beth, I don't envy that!
Hey Cara , good old Mark is here. Glad you are getting back into the school and teaching again. I can imagine it would be tough after being off the summer. my sister feels the same ways as she will be starting back the day after Labor day. If I don't see you I hope you and your family have a wonderful , safe Labor Day.
WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!
TGIF!!!!
HELLO EVERYBODY! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Hey Klara , It's good to off right for the weekend plus one extra day. Enjoy you Labor Day and be safe. love ya too. I decided not to buy the Mazda3. The more I thought about it I said to myself I would be defeating my purpose of whaT i HAVE done to down size and get to retire. I was going to trade in my Chrysler 300C which I have only one year left to pay and take on a 5 year note for the Mazda3. that would be a dumb move on my part. If I were still drinking I would of went through with it. I want life easy with NO BILLS so I bought a little 2000 Neon for linda to go around town OH and the beach LOL. My dad always said cars are a waste of money. He always bought throw aways But never had a car loan. I will now follow his footsteps NO bILLs
THat's good, Mark. Unfortunately, Miami is a huge city and we spend over an hour in traffic going to work and another hour driving back. My husband traded his Chrysler Sebring for a Mazda 3 2010 and he has been very happy with the purchase. Last month for my birthday, my old 2001 Mazda Protoge which was fully paid started giving me problems, small things that could have been repaired, but the thing is once cars celebrate their 10th bday they begin to date mechanics. So, I figured I could either spend another $5,000 to $7,000 fixing it so that it may live for another two years or get a new car. So I traded it for a Mazda CX-7 which is a small SUV with plenty of room for future babies (hopefully!) I am very happy with my purchase and I know from owning Mazdas that they are very reliable cars and easy on your wallet.
Needless to say, I'm very happy with my new car. But yes, you are right. The smart thing to do is to try to hold off on the spending right now.
Hi Mark, Klara, cara, Steven, Beth the busy lady , Denise and everyone.. I can see that you are already celebrating the weekend..
Hope you all have loads of fun:)
Good Morning Sophie:) i am celebrating my new found life

Glad to know that someone is smiling and laughing. This retreat has been very emotional... Miss everyone!
Hi everybody! I've been enjoying my last few free days before university starts... so I was off the internet for a while.
I have been wondering. Does anyone know how bestreviewer.com works? I signed up but have no idea how to post my hubs there.

Good for you. I should be in bed-have a 7 a.m. session with my teacher. But, I didn't want to get bumped off the top ten list here and I was on the bottom.
Did you get my email about the goals?
Good morning everyone! It's gorgeous down here, a truly beautiful summer day! Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Hi Mark, hows it going? I hope all is well with you.
hey Steve all fine here and how about yourself. Did you have a great Holiday? I'm all moved in at the shore and we are the happiest we have been in 30 years of marriage
Yeah, I read your hub about your marriage recently. I haven't had a chance to comment in it yet, but congratulations though. I'm glad to hear you're doing well these days, as I was kind of worried about you when I heard about the weather trouble you had.
@Beth100
hi beth, hows it going? it's good to see you again, as I missed talking to you. by the way, can i get a kiss and hug too?
Hi Mark, Beth Denise, Klara..and maybe Cagsil at last.. looks like you are back to forum postings...

and my love and regards to Linda..
Thank you Sophie I will pass the word to LInda but as I look into the bedroom she is out like a light and I am here writing one more hub. I think I should hit the sack myself for it is 12:45 am.LOL
Night and say Hi to Marky for me please
Hi Cags.. back from the exile are you?? .. How have you been .. and hope you are enjoying your long holiday weekend..
Yes, back from exile. Enjoying the weekend? Nope. Been spending countless minutes changing hubs and modifying them to increase traffic. I did some keyword research. Haven't really written anything new lately, because I'm more focused on traffic and keywords stuff. Not to mention, my daily 3 hours of advertising.
I lost my Twitter account for 3 days last week. It was suspended for some reason. Someone hacked my Yahoo.com email account and sent out SPAM, so I had to fix that problem and wait for Twitter to fix the issue with my account too.
Overall, I am well and hope you are too. Nice to see you.
Hello Cags my friend. man you have been through it for sure, but you always get everything figured out and straight. I hope you have a great rest of the Labor Day weekend.
I'm glad all is well for you now. I haven't had much traffic and only a click here and there with Goggle adsense. I know keywords are a huge part of traffic. I always try to think of what people will seach for as far as titles but it doesnt seem to work for me. I have a friend and have seen his snap shots of adsense over 2,000 buck one month. I'm lucky to make 2.00
Take care Cags and be safe
BTW what exactly do you advertize?
Hey Mark,
I use short tail keywords for what I think people will search for. And, between HP and myself, this month has started off better than the last 3 months. I did break payout finally, but took 3-4 months to do it. I was originally on a pace where I was beginning to make payout monthly, but fizzled when Panda hit.
I watched as my earnings dried up. I only made $24 last month. I guess the changes I originally made when Panda hit was done in haste and showed my inexperience. However, you live, learn and move forward.
I hope things on the outside of HP are working out for you.
So nice hearing from you Cags. i have been writing here on HP for 15 months, my blog almost 2 years, Ezine Articles, Post Runner (The Keyword Academy ) never of those two have adsense to make any money. they simple let you link to your blog or other sites you might have in hopes someone will click on those adsense in those sites and maybe get some links from them.
I can't imagine how many words I have written between all of these, Plus my Living life sober site. Some day we will rack in the bucks as more people read I hope. I really more concerned about helping those that have an addiction to alcohol like I had. I can't believe Oct 27th will be 2 years sober That is all the money I need is to stay sober. The best feeling in the world Cags.
God Bless you my friend , stay in touch as I will do the same. Got to hit the sack
Wow!! you have been working hard..I hope you find all the success you wish..
I wish I could sit myself down for that kind of work.. promotion is something I am so poor at.. need to get more focused.

Hello to all! I've just gotten back early this morning around 2:00 a.m. Yay! one day to catch up on errands until my midnight shift schedule starts again.
Only 49 weeks to finish the year and counting... (I know I can do this!)
Hope all is well for you--miss everyone.
Hello Denise my darling. Hang in there hun, I know how hard those midnights are. I used to hate them. I hope you are doing well beside that shift.I miss talking to you. We seem to always miss each ather. have a great rest of the day Denise and stay in touch OK

Tak care of yourself Girl and hang in there ,...you can do a lot more than that Cheers
Hi Marky.. too sleepy to talk straight.. see ya later
Hi to everyone!
I feel like it's been forever since I've been here but getting ready for school takes a lot of time.
Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend. Tomorrow is the first official day of school, however I may have a first in my teaching career tomorrow. We have no power at school so our first day just might be delayed. Wouldn't that be interesting! Only time will tell if I will be home one more day or back to reality!
Hey ya Cags!!! Just have to give you a HUGE HUG AND KISS!!! Been too long!!! I've missed you.
@ Card -- Good luck with your first day at school tomorrow!!

. Na.. I'm just kidding and very jealous thats for sure. I kind of like her being home for some reason. I worked 2-3 jobs while the children were growing up and felt at peace that she was raising our children instead of a day care. it was a good feeling Klara.
I have to say we settled here so easy like we lived here forever. I just love being next to the Ocean and Bay. So peaceful and calming Klara as you know.
I'm glad you had a nice sunny day down there but as you say the sun will shine again real soon.
(((HUGS 2 U )))))
Welcome to HubPages and to our little long going forum
Yep Klara they (I am ) stole yours. Now what?
Big News from the Bruno Family. Klara, Beth, Sophie, Cara, Denise. (Stefani) My daughter just got engaged last night, so Marky has to save his lunch money for the November 2012 wedding Unbelievable, how everything is turning so positive and happy for all of us here. My daughter is soooooo happy and so are Linda and I
The ring is beautiful !!!!. They dated for 7 years and I thought i would be old and gray and not able to walk her down the isle, but I was wrong. I have to start to pratice my words "I DO "
Think I can handle that ?
Just thought I would fill you in on some happy things for a change
Congrats!! so happy for you Markie, Linda, and your daughter. ((( hugs))))
Thanks Sophie, We are all very happy. See, things are all starting to fall in place after a bad year we have had. All positive things and smiles from ear to ear foer Marky. Life is Good

Congratulations Mark! That is fantastic news, I am so happy for all of you!
Thank you so much Cara can't wait and soooo excited
Ooooooh! So when is the wedding?! I have one next summer in Spain. My sister-in-law is getting married. Big weddings over there too, they wear their flamenco hair piece and shawl over it.
Like these, but not in black... it's a wedding, not a funeral!
I see. Black is not a good color for a wedding that's for sure. That sound really nice. I guess you will be flying to Spain right? Stefani wants to have the wedding November 2012 . I wish it would be sooner, because i am so excited. They have dated for 7 years. I dated Linda for 3 months and have been married for going on 31 years. Either you know it or you don't. I'm not one for waiting as you see You know try it before you buy it
Hi Beth - just dropped in to say Hi when I saw you had posted on this thread - Can't believe this thread is still going strong! Just a great place to drop in and say Hi - and feel like a winner for a moment or two!

HIIIII Beautiful The sun may shine tomorrow
Hi Mark! I was watching a youtube video of someone's vegetable garden here in Florida. I miss my vegetable garden so much! but it was too much work and the allergies were killing me!
I'm down to planting herbs like basil (which I grow from cuttings), oregano, parsley, rosemary, thyme and mint.
The oregano looks gorgeous! I also have plenty of sweet potato vines growing in random places but never eat them, I just have them for decoration purposes. It's got beautiful light green leaves. But this week I cooked with jalapenos and serrano peppers and I saved the seeds.
I might give it a try. I'll let you know how it goes.
How's everything with you?
Wow you are quite a gardener Klara It's nice that you have the nack and green thumb for growibng your herbs. It's always nice to use what you grow instead of buying them and really cool to see how they progress in their growing stages. I don't have a green thumb Klara although Linda does.
All is well up here except all the rain. tomorrow should be nice with no rain I hope. i just joined Podcast. I think I am going to start to do that and see how it goes. I was asked by a fellow in New York if I would be interested in a interview. he runs a radio podcast regarding addictions and sobriety. He found my writings and was interested in interviewing me, Social Media is a wonderful thing. I tweet all my hubs and other articles and like this sooner or later someone will find you and your writing like what happened to me now.
I'll let you know what happens Klara and If I go on the air I will let you know I am of course writing one more hub now
BTW I am backlon Facebook if you need me etc. I deleted it a month ago because of a few problems but I blockedd the people I no longer want to see or talk to again
Let me know when it comes on and which radio station and I'll be listening. That's exciting! I once got interviewed by a radio station in Spain, and another time they chose my picture to advertise a photo contest. LOL It was a funny pic of me laughing in front of an ad of wine where there was a woman laughing just like me. It was pretty funny. There were people calling me from Spain asking me how they got my picture. My husband had sent it to the contest to see what happened, and they used it for the newspaper ad.
Good night, Mark. I'm off to bed! Talk to you tomorrow!
That's awesome Klara and I will keep you informed. How can they refuse such a beautiful lady as yourself. Nice job my dear. back to my writing Night \Klara
enjoy your day y'all!!!
back to work...
and it's cloudy out!! I want some SUN!!!
Mark, go to sleep!!! You look a bit green around the gills today! oxox
LOL Beth. You like that look I don't Mark very sleepy. It has been raining here for days. Please answer me a question love. We here in US watch HGTV al lot and we were woindering why Toranto prices for homes are so high. Is that the city you live Beth?
Love Holmes on Holmes and Property Virgins
Oh, sleepy head!!! You drive safely home!!
It's cloudy with a chance of meatballs here!!! dreary and I'm not motivated to pack or work....
I don't have TV (satellite or cable), but I have seen HGTV at my parents and in the hotels.
Toronto is not my city. Thank goodness!!! The prices are sky high and keep going up. It's the city of businessmen -- stock exchange, foreign exchange, technology and so on. The prices are high because land is scarce and its situated in a belt of climate that is preferable to the rest of Canada. It's never too cold but summer's are hot and humid. The smog is aweful, and the drivers tend to drive too fast.
I live in the Nation's Capital. Prices are still decent, plenty of green space, river, cottage and blue skies. But, I miss my Rockies!! That is where home is.
I have to get back to work... getting the evil eye!!
Thanks Beth, Get to work and I am closing the office to head on home L
I hope I talk to you later Ok? Be careful driving home as well
Home alas!!
Only to remember that I have to be back at work before 7am!!! Not much time to play tonight Mark!!
Hey Sophs, Denise, Card, Mark, Steven, Klara!!!
Hope your midweek day went well!
That is Okay Beth as you see in my pic Mark is sleepy today. We can play tomorrow after I rest up
Hey Beth, I'm in and out here now too since my new job has taken me away.

This has been perplexing me for a while - has something changed or have I just gone ga-ga?Being in a different time zone from most Hubbers, I rely on being able to click the "Your" button to catch up with who's posted on threads since I commented.Recently I've been missing comments...
