Don't insult theCounterpunch it's not the best way to get more fans !
I don't want fans who agree with thecounterpunch....
One doesn't have to agree with thecounterpunch in order to be turned off by the way you've conducted yourself. Ad hominem attacks are no way to win friends or influence people.
I apologize but some people's complete disregard for reality just pisses me off. Also He brought up his ridiculous theories in a forum that I started to see who hubs about politics... that really annoys me.
Pauldeeds is one of the people who runs hubpages. If you're unable to decode the advice he just gave you, let me know, and I'll translate it into terms you can understand.
Oh gosh ms.Isabella could you please? Although, are you sure you could stoop far enough down to my intelligence level to do so? Oh and one last question... I'm confused, is it wrong for everyone to insult others in forums or just me? I ask this because you seem to have to problem insulting me in this forum....
P.s. I know that pauldeeds helps run hubpages and in fact he has been helpful in answering my questions.
I must addmitt maybe im ingorantBut what is counterpunch?
Create well-written hubs which people want to read, leave intelligent comments on other's hubs. Contribute in the forums. Asking straight out is considered bad form to a lot of hubbers
Yea just go to the hubbers you see getting all the money then write something in response to their hub but add something like this..
Wow what an amazing hub, so informative and amazing deapth.. I wonder "how" you do that.. your good..(wink).. haha.. ok I'm having way too much fun here.. their going to stop paying me..shhh
Jerrico
p.s. paul this is one hell of a friendly environment, Its as fun to read and write as it is to blog.. you've done it this time
Become fans with people you like and often they will reciprocate .
what she said.. HEHE
Paul Love the way you put that comment.. (not a nice way to win friends and influence people..) Great book.
It's just me
College politico, hope you got more fans ! As for me I'm not especially looking to please any one and get fans, though I thank all my current 86 fans to have done so. I'm not writing for money on my hubs some people know why.
I'm not sure I could stoop to that extent, but if it means you'll be quiet for awhile, I'd be willing to give it the old college try. You've been asked to stop this several times by several people now - you're either socially inept or you're just rude. Stop making excuses for why you've been so obnoxious, and just stop being so obnoxious.
Congradulations... through insulting me on this forum you have taught me not to insult people on forums.
I'm going with socially inept. I find that a lot in online conversations. There is no face to face, so the person in question feels they can say anything they like. The funny thing is, he started this thread to get advice on getting more fans and then allows it to turn into this. Personally, this is my last response to one of these threads. If I want a political argument, there are any number of misinformed morons where I live to "discuss," the subject with.
Back on the track of the thread - try not behaving in this fashion - that would certainly turn me into one of your biggest fans.
You are here for the poetry! Let's ignore everything else.
Weird... I just turned in my final paper for intro to poetry the other day. Maybe I'll make a hub out of it...
I am new here. I have been reading this back and forth crap betwn hub members for a couple of days now and to me, it is just ridiculous. I come here to get advice and learn, and not on how to be nasty to others. Perhaps we should have a seperate forum for people who want to argue back and forth and insult each other, but it really does not belong here. Just my opinion and not taking any sides, but lets keep the hub forum for what it is supposed to be used for, not to be bitter and nasty. Come on guys it's Christmas what the heck, just kiss and make up and call it a day!
And where staff could relocate any thread that degenerates into a debacle. Yes, it's been suggested a few times
Going back to the original question, the best fans to acquire are those who discover you and genuinely enjoy your content. Sometimes you'll get a new fan and when you check his/her hubtivity you find that on the same day s/he's joined 50 or more fan clubs. How much use is that?
To all of you that gave some adive on how to get some fans...thanks! I am going to take some of that advise right this second!
I looked up Advice on getting more fans.
I learned I was probably mistaken to join some of the Fan Clubs? Yes, or No???
Noticing that people can be contacted personally: Could messages to someone, such as to this person about insulting Counterpunch (although I missed this, boohoo) have not been delivered in a more personal way?
The avalanche against this person could scare a new person away.
I'm new, I'm learning. Good luck to you all.
It's nice to know Paul Deeds helps run Hub Pages. Hi, Paul. Are there other important people I should know about?
Bye for now. I'm Betty Jo

New people are always welcome on this site, but they need to understand that this is not a site like Facebook. HP is a community of writers who have come here to hone their skills and perhaps earn a few dollars. If your only goal is to show up out of the blue, produce nothing, but spend your...

I've come to the conclusion that in order to get people to even look at your hubs, you must post in these forums. It may help get a few more fans, but if it doesn't, what have you lost. I've come here to hubber's hangout to see if anybody will become curious about my writing. I'm guessing I'm not...

Is it a trend or is it being initiated by HP? Just curious.

Has anyone else noticed a serious drop in quality among the Question portion of HubPages? For the past several weeks, nearly every question that is featured in the "my account" section has been ripe with misspellings and just contain a general lack of worth in my opinion. I feel the...

I guess the title says it all- I have a few published hubs and a few in the workds that I believe are well written and interesting to read, but I can't see many people finding them through google, what are some other good ways besides spaming links to promote it?This one of the hubs I was talking...

Being relatively new to Hubpages, I have enjoyed touring the hubs, reading and noticing the comments of others. As I approach having 50 followers, I would like to know what "fan" experiences you have had in the forums.
