   Ok I have been on this site for a while now and I have seen it all but just recently I have noticed a few people that keep Hubs going, the forum and such and I just feel like giving them a mention.
   
   Lgali - Lgali is just amazin and she has like way over 1,000 fans but she never gives up, always posting and always replying, Lgali for me is one special hubber.
   
   Misha - Misha has only written a few hubs but he is always about to help a newbie and very little annoys him. He can give it but he can also take it. He also understands people and in my eyes hes one special dude !
   
   Eaglekiwi - Kiwi is just Kiwi, she sticks by you but she also tries hard to keep the fun in the forum and has stuck up for some wayward characters because she sees the good in people.
   
   So why did I post this, simple, because in the last month Hubs in my eyes has been dying a death on the Forums. The fun has gone, the sparkle and the fun of having a laugh seems to be frowned on. Jeeez have an alter-ego and people think you are crazy, yer actually not its just a JOKE. And the joke is on the people who actually get annoyed or offended by it, get over yourselves people are dying over the world and you are offended by some stupid alter-ego, get your act together.
   
   Fair play to you serious hubbers with the keyword research and the pumping out hubs but trust me because I have seen it on other writing sites. When the Forums become dull people kinda just leave ya know and in time that drops Hubpages overall google rating and yer earnings. Anyways I applaud the above 3 hubbers and I hope yer all having a good night !

      Here's a few points to consider:
      
      HubPages.com was profitable before there was a forum. The forum wasn't always here.
      
      People don't leave hubpages.com because they enjoy hubbing, most of the ones that have left is because of some kind of disturbance that has happened... in the forums!
      
      So if anything, the behaviour of people (or misbehaviour) in the forums is what causes people to get irritated, offended, even hurt.
      
      I will make a point to say, so you don't think that anything I've said thus far is directed at you, is that the CabinGirl sockpuppet show was not of a vindictive nature or to drum up support for a cause or traffic to a hub, whereas others have tried to do just that.
      
      There have been times in the past where I have tried to help people (with hubbing information) and have been sniped at by sockpuppets. Sometimes I've had to correct misinformation given by sockpuppets. So when it comes to that it certainly is a hindrance.

      Yes but the best debators have an understanding of the mind of the other side. This allows well constructed arguments that address the key points.
      This results in a much more interesting conversation when compared to name calling and other personal attacks. Many of these forums have disolved into juvenile school yard squabbles.

      My pleasure mate I just felt like naming the 3 of you, although I understand the site needs to make money we also need to keep hold of the eccentric characters and more than a few have left. Golden Toad alias Raiderfan had a following that actually logged on here just to follow him and also the vulgar but funny RBlue, these hubbers are missed and are not easy replaced.

            Cabin Girl is still a sore point with me and nearly made me leave hubpages. In all honesty I was as bad as Cabin Girl that night but they just banned her from the forums, jeeez what am I talking about I am Cabin Girl lol but you know what I mean. Hubs allowed BadCompany on the Forums but banned Cabin Girl hence killing the double act. I still dont forive the buggers for that !

      I know he was moving house but I think hes moved in and all, I can only guess like me he found the forums boring of as late and also certain restrictions. This is an adult website not some kids playground and Hubpages are just killing any character that isnt dancing to the writing tune !

    I hope that those of us that are new can partake in the fun.  It is kind of tough though, you post something & many times our comments are just passed over, so its hard to join in.  Sometimes I feel like I'm back in school again and the "in-crowd" isn't going to take a second look because they've already established themselves.
    
    Its all about growing pains.  Hopefully the writers you've mentioned are writing somewhere else & you can find them & continue to enjoy their writing.
    
    I read quite a few hubs from people that I've never seen on the forum who have strong followings  
    
    BTW...I liked Cabin Girls poetry.

    I know DS but other points to consider since the forum has arrived Hubpages has shot up the American rankings bigtime.
    
    In the last 2 months Hubs has lost a few of its top writers, ok not great writers like yourself or Mark Knowles but eccentric writers like GoldenToad and RBlue and trust me these people do attract a following, i am sure nearly 400 people didnt fan me for my pirate hat nor over 155 fanned Cabin Girl for just 6 Poems.
    
    I respect you Darkside and I know you are a good guy but lately Hubpages have treated people like myself and Golden Toad like schoolkids. They booted that kid PandaMan off the site because its an adult site, adult site my ass, it has more restrictions lately than anything.
    
    I have had enough and I am sorry but I aint continuing under this kind of childish rules. I am now saying to Maddie and Hubs lift the ban on Cabin Girl on the Forums or please delete both accounts now !

          Misha like Darkside you are deep down 2 really good guys but I cant stay on a website that treats adults like kids thats why Golden Toad left. Looking back Cabin Girl did nothing worse that some of those religious freaks do every night and get away with it.
          
          I wont be censored and I wont be treated like a kid, if hubstaff refuse to reply or lift the forum ban on CG then in 15 mins I will delete a hub every minute until I am gone.

       This site is primarily about publishing content, to earn money. It can be whatever you want it to be (to socialise and make friends) but it has survived without the forums for at least a year when it started, and it could survive without the forums again (I'm not saying or hoping it would, just saying it can).
       
       On the other hand, the forum would not survive without it being about people publishing and HubPages making money. Don't put the cart before the horse.
       
       People were booted because of rules. Rules which protect HubPages. Some people left because of those rules of their own free will. Adsense have policies that if violated, will see the cancellation of an account or even the banning of a whole domain.
       
       It would be nice that if those people who wish to sockpuppet without using it as a tool to attack or annoy, would do so somewhere away from the serious forums, the ones concerning hubpages. The ones where people need help and others give it. Even if it were restricted to just The Sandpit, where it's going to be obvious that it's all for fun.
       
       Otherwise a precedent is set that anyone can parade around in various 'fake nicks' (as they call them) and when newbs get smacked for doing it they will be saying "if so and so can do it, why can't I?" that there is two sets of rules.
       
       The HubPages Forums can be fun, but people shouldn't forget how it started or why it continues to exist.

    I'd give you that if there weren't a few lines in the song that did represent irony.  The presence of irony alongside sad attempts at it indicate a feeble grasp of the concept.  Had none of it been ironical then I would accept that the artistic irony was in the lack of irony in a song about irony.

                Although in fairness BC, you dont need to be a very good song writer to become a millionaire these days..... Kerry Katona is probably the greatest example of that!
                
                That said, Jagged Little Pill is definitely on my iPod somewhere..... and Atomic Kitten certainly are not!
