I was amazed at the amount of views I've managed to get in the past 7 days. It currently stands at 36669 which i'm pretty sure is my best week yet
Don't think I've done anything special...I haven't even written a hub in the past 7 days.
how bout tellin us which one so we can "go check it out" *wink*
Jerrico, I don't follow
I meant that 36000 visitors in a week is a very good result. Did I say something wrong?
Congrats, Stubbs!
And Misha, he just mis-quoted. He meant to quote stubbs.
Well done stubbs !
Damn that's a lot of page views. Wish I could generate that many
What's your secret?
That calls for a celebration! Congrats, Stubbs!
Yes, which one particularly?
Wow! Congratulations! Can you tell us how you accomplished this?
Great job. I agree with Misha, those stats are sick!...in a good way.
thanks guys
this week inpariticular i got loads and loads on my 'Amy Fisher Video' hub, not a high point of my hub writing ill be honest with you but i rank well in Google (on one day i got 9878 views for that hub alone)
and my secret? i haven't got one i made a hub about exactly how i advertise my hubs awhile ago.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Hub-Traffic-Tools
Remember its always updating.
there is one thing i do that isn't on there but i fear by sharing it i may not gather as much traffic as i do now, selfish? yes but It's not a biggy.
Is there a definition for updating? A certain wordcount? Someone said the site gets trawled every day, so wouldnt it be trawling everything regardless?
Good news Stubbs:) I just hope in a few months time those stats will seem pretty small fry;)
I am off to check out your hub......again..
Nope, I meant trawl -- noun • an act of sifting through something as part of a search. But if it makes you feel better to say crawl, thats cool.
Stubbs, my question is about updating hubs. People say it matters for google, and Im asking how, and how much has to be updated - and how so - for it to matter.
Ooooooooops :redcheeck: I just wanted to return the favor
And my take on updating - news capsule does the job just fine in terms of keeping google crawlers on tip-toes Of course you may want to correct something, etc., but for search engines I believe news capsule should be enough.
But news capsules have links....
Im so confused as to whether or not its good to have links in your hubs. If people click on your links they arent clicking your ads, right?
It's a balance. More good links and more news feeds means more crawling, which means more traffic, but it also means more opportunities for the visitor to leave the page and therefore less ad clicks
If you put news capsule all the way down it will attract search engines just as being at the very top. While majority of your users will not scroll enough to see it...
Sorry, I'll have to get back to this conversation when I'm not so pissed off.
oh ok i gotcha. No i'm not updating the hub for any traffic reasons just some new stuff i found out about getting traffic that i'm adding.
im not sure if updating hubs generally makes a difference to how your ranked by google etc.
yay! my 'Ultimate Hub Traffic Tips And Tools' Hub was in the hubpages email newsletter.
Well, I am quite jealous, but good job Stubbs....I wish I could do that.....maybe someday....

With all the arguments and disagreements I am still here. Hopefully, I'll fall in love with you like before.I have been...

I finally wrote 200 hubs and I've surpassed 100,000 page views. My 200th hub linked together many of my hubs pertaining to small businesses. It's gratifying to know I finally reached another milestone. Thanks to the many of you Hubbers who have served as inspiration during my time here.

With the event of me approaching 1 million hub views in a few days or so, this gives me the chance to reflect back and see what I did to increase my traffic and revenues through Hubpages. What really started the ball rolling was the very first Hubchallenge back in May 2009 and I've since done 4 or 5...

Have been waiting to hit 5 million for a while, and today the views finally clicked over to 5,001,113 Unfortunately, there's no accolade for 5 million, but there really should be! It's a bloody long wait from 1 to 10 million.

Woop, woop . . . I hit another milestone today, 100,000 views to my hubs. Yeaaay! I'm grateful to all of my fellow hubbers who read and share my hubs. But I'm eternally grateful to those who come by way of organic traffic. Organic traffic is King. Woop, woop!Advice: Patience and luck. Having one or...
