Can you share your experiences with Pinterest?
Do you believe it will get more external traffic faster?
of course I have reasons to thinks so Every social site is good for bringing traffic to your work At least I have positive experience with pinterest.
You wont bring traffic to your site unless you got some fancy pictures on it. that's how pinterest works, You cant even pin your page unless you got photo in it. But yea it can be good for traffic
I have used Pinterest for several weeks and I can vouch that I have received traffic from links posted there. It is easy to pin a page for me as I have installed a browser button that allows me to pin any page I may be viewing. Simple and quick. Once pinned you have created a backlink as well.
I joined pinterest a couple of weeks ago. Pinned some of my own hubs and also some of others. I don't think it is going to work for me. I followed some people there on pinterest but anyone has yet to follow me. If only I could find other hubbers there to follow and be followed.
I've been fooling around with Pinterest for a couple of weeks but I've only seen minimal traffic coming from it. I guess it works if you're "pinning" the right material.
I joined them yesterday and they emailed me stating i'm on their waiting list and will be invited soon. I have not heard anything yet. They must be getting a lot of traffic or they don't work on the weekends...I don't know...I would think this is all done by computer, but who knows.
Yes I can, I hope that what I write provides some insight into the subjects that I know and have experience in or about. Hopefully sharing my knowledge and experiences that I have gained to date will help others.
Hi Rajan, I have had a fair amount of traffic from Pinterest. I enjoy the site for my personal use and I don't just pin hubs. There are several beautiful and interesting sites and things to see and explore. It is a great place for inspiring ideas and trends too. As for promoting hubs, I agree with those above - having great pictures are very important for grabbing attention. The various boards make it easy to organize your hubs and sites by topic areas. According to my traffic sources on my accounts page - I've had over 200 views from pintrest in a month. I also noticed a greater increase of pinterest traffic since HP added the 'Pin" icon. So yes, I do see it as a wonderful opportunity to increase visibility and drive external traffic to my hubs. This in-turn helps create opportunities for back-links. Many pinners have their own blogs and might choose to feature your hub on their site. Pinners also tweet and share on Facebook.
Tip - Try not to just follower hubbers. Expand your follow/follower base. This will help bring in visibility from the general public.
Great question Rajan - thanks for asking. By the way, I see lots of nice 'Healthy' articles on pinterest and I have a 'healthy board' on pinterest. Your hubs would do awesome on there with eye-catching fresh pictures. See you there

So I was dubious about doing the hub pro editing. I actually was going to turn it off, but I forgot, as I don't get on Hubpages much any more. When I received an email to say I'd been chosen, I was quite worried. You can't improve perfection, right? Fortunately, as a journalist and also in the...

I'm bored. Ok correction, I'm procrastinating. I randomly come on and off the forums and on this return visit I've seen SO many people questioning why their hubs aren't making money and/or getting traffic. So for as long I'm having fun, feel free to post below (either for your whole account or one...

I don't get into these fights and disagreements with what HP does on a regular basis. But I looked at my Hubs and I only saw the four sites; Flipboard, Pinterest, Facebook and email in my share icons over the past week or so. What happened to G+ ?????This one doesn't make sense to me considering...

Happy Friday, Hubbers!Next week we will be raising the quality threshold for newly-published Hubs (meaning newly-Featured Hubs will, on the whole, be of higher quality) and will also be giving Featured Hubs (for those with high Hubber Scores) longer grace periods- up to a year for some.More...

I am fairly new here, but what I've learned is that most people follow to get followers. (I was that person). What I discovered was that, if I follow you I am required to read your hubs when published. My suggestion; don't follow to be followed. Follow because you genuinely are interested in the...
