Looks like most of hubbers live in the US - anyone from UK or elsewhere?

I'm Scottish but living in Cambridgeshire near Huntingdon. I know what you mean about this forum being mainly USA but I have found that on most forums I go to. They can't help it, there's 300 million of them and only 60 million of us. The rest of the world seem to have wierd and often expensive broadband connections so they are few and far between, except south america, australia and greece????   Go figure, as they would say.

Can't remember, sure I saw some stats somewhere, possibly on the hubpages blog, unless I am mistaking it for another site. The hubpages team would be able to tell you. There are something like 800,000 registered users here, so 60,000 isn't too unrealistic for a relatively small English speaking world (when considering native tongues).

        1. sannyasinman profile image60
sannyasinmanposted 14 years agoin reply to this

It's only a joke . . . (Birmingham is the pits smile) don't take it seriously. I am from Liverpool, and there is often a reaction to the stereotype. I am labelled as a Scouser, and people think I drink and fight a lot. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If I have offended you then I apologise, but I think we all need to learn to laugh and take it with a pinch of salt, else there would be no satire and the world would be a sadder place

          1. profile image0
ryankettposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Thats not the stereotype I hear about scousers, everybody knows that they steal lots, wear dodgy cheap tracksuits, and perm their hair. And thats rich from you isn't it? Pinch of salt? The other day you were pretty much threatening to have somebodies adsense account banned for very little reason, that is somebodies business and livelyhood. That would offend even the biggest bastards.

            1. sannyasinman profile image60
sannyasinmanposted 14 years agoin reply to this

You're confusing "Adsense" with "Asense" ie a sense of humour. You seem to know a lot about the former but little about the latter.

              1. profile image0
ryankettposted 14 years agoin reply to this

No I know a lot about both. You are a joke yourself, and I often laugh at you, hope that clarifies. Have you pestered anybody about stealing URL's recently? Can't you see how much of a joke that is? You never bothered to reply to my response on that thread, too busy trying to ruin a decent man's business? Run along...... sad case.

                1. sannyasinman profile image60
sannyasinmanposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Firstly - I won't resort to personal insults as you are quick to do.
Secondly - This whole URL business has nothing to do with you.

                  1. profile image0
ryankettposted 14 years agoin reply to this

The URL business has nothing to do with anybody, claiming plagiarism or ownership of a URL is complete madness unless it is a registered trademark. Personal insults? Threatening to send a DMCA to google because of URLs, completely ruining that persons business in the process, is about as personal as it gets. Anything you threaten to do on hubpages, about hubs, is the business of hubpages and all of it's members. So that was my business and still is my business.

I am also a member of shetoldme.com, and earn money from shetoldme.com, so some idiot threatening to close it IS my business. It would lose me a lot of dofollow backlinks, and some adsense revenue, so it is 100% to do with me and I will make it my business. Why didn't you take the opportunity to talk with James on that thread? Instead of trying to tarnish his name? Get back on there, if you want to start something then go and finish it. He visits that thread, why not go and reply to him?

No there is nothing wrong with Birmingham. I always go there to watch bands at the NEC, and have stayed over on several occasions and found the night life good. I suppose it is the same with any area. You will have good and bad. It is just a joke about certain places that are shown within the media. I would go there anytime as the shopping centre is tops.
