Why is my author info missing in Google search?

I have realised of late that my author info (including picture) do not appear in Google search. Am I missing something or is this happening elsewhere in Hubpages?

No, they just don't like you and after all can you blame them?

I mean look at your picture what is to like?

Now look at my picture, is that cool or what!

I can't even tell what your user photo is. With these old lady eyes, it looks like a purple pumpkin gone horribly wrong! wink

that is exactly what it is, 'see' your eyes aren't that bad after all, your humor needs work but, hey we all can't be perfect!

My profile info is there, but not my user photo. I can't remember if it ever was there. When I Google "amuno," all I see on the first page of Google is a Hebrew congregation in Maryland.

Thanks Georgie. I had configured my profile in such a way that I could see my picture too. But I guess something went wrong with HPs and everything stopped. And about the name, I use my full name Alfred Amuno. I bet something comes up in search.

With your first name, I do see your profile on Google. It's the 8th link down. No photo, though.

I used to have a Google Authorship listing show as well for all my articles.  Sometime since the implementation of the new profile it appears that something has gone wrong here on HP.  I asked the question some time back, in the forum thread about technical issues that is staff monitored and never got an answer from staff about it disappearing.

I do remember that HP said they would put the "rel-(something) tag in our Google URL as we could no long manually do it ourselves on the new profile.

My Wordpress articles all come up with Google Authorship in search results...which, as you mention includes a photo as well as the number of "Circles" you belong to and the ability to click to see more of one's articles.

Yes Dale, I took long to realise the missing info, and when you mention the new profile change, I begin to understand. My info should have appeared well, maybe  until then I think. Someone should do something about this I believe.

He Amuno. Not sure what is going wrong. Have you done a google search that has your username and the title of one of your hubs in there. This SHOULD bring up your profile page. Good luck.

Done that Safiq, and all I get is the normal search results.

It's about how you link your accounts. You must have the right link in your google profile to point to the site/articles that you authored. Put the link in the "contributed to" section of your profile and you should be good to go.

I have done all the necessary configurations before, Rclinton, but something just went wrong. My profile registered quite well until about two or three months ago. When I test my links using Google's Structured Data Testing Tool, it works just fine.

amuno; just to say ignore somethgblue's comment about your photo - having seen some of his comments and articles, his remarks often come across as offensive. Maybe it's just his misguided attempt at humour? I hope so.

      You are right Greensleeves.
