They say women like cats because they are so independent and smart. They say men like dogs because of their loyalty.

I like dogs but I prefer cats. Cats are so much easier to take care of.

Of course there would be some women who also cherish loyalty and devotion...

Cats are a little stringy unless you boil them for hours.

I have two of each and love them all but I prefer cats they are so much easier to take care of.  My dogs though loyal require so much more attention and cost a lot more too.  No complaints though they all make me happy and have enriched my life.

Definitely dogs! I like cats, too, but I've never bonded with a cat as deeply as I have with my dogs.

    Both.

I haven't been on much the past few days - my white shepherd - Lightning, is very ill (and old) and I am agonizing knowing she must be put down soon. This is the part of cats and dogs I don't like at all.

To quote Robert A. Heinlein  'Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.'
    Definitely cats for me.
