Gold Coast Australia. It's really the lucky country by far. Currently live in the UK and the UK is tired up with so much "Red Tape". It makes me appreciate where I have lived.
Who told you that Australia doesn't do a red tape? I've lived in WA for 2 years and will be pleased to see the back of their crazy tax system adn the general hassel of having 5 levels of government (local, lower/upper house state, ditto federal).
It does however have some of the best weather in the world - but governance - nah its crap! I'm moving back to New Zealand for family reasons - but my business will stay domiciled there where-ever I end up because the tax system is simple - but I hope I won't be in NZ all year - climate is rubbish - unless this global warming thing really starts working !
Year round snow? How intriguing....Is that cause you haven't seen snow for awhile?
I just love the stuff. Always have, always will. I don't see much of it now, if at all. My idea of a great holiday would be a round the world cruise.
But my ideal home would be in some snowy mountains
Have you ever spent 8+ hours in it, hip-deep, driving, walking, working in a non-recreational context?
Not for a long time. But I don't want to play in it, I'm not a child. And yes, I'm aware of the difficulties associated with living in such a cold place.
But what suits one doesn't suit another. You asked where hubbers would like to live for a year. So I said where I would like to live
Where would you like to live tksensei?
No offense, I just know how brutal and unforgiving the cold and snow can be. That said, winter is still my favorite time of year.
But to answer your question, straight to Kyoto for me.
I wasn't offended, no worries. And I know little about Kyoto. I'm assuming it's a great place to spend some time
*off to check out Kyoto*
I'd like to bum around awhile in Oaxaca Mexico and explore the surrounding area.
The Upper Amazon, it has almost all one could wish for - the famous plants, creeks, lagoons, bustling with all kinds of spirits...
Right where I live now is maybe the worlds best city so I will say Sydney for second best.
I must be strange for a kiwi (don't answer that!) but I like San Fran and Soda Springs CA.
It'd have to be Oahu, Hawaii.
In fact any of the Polynesian islands would be great.
It's cold and wet in Scotland today so anywhere, that’s warm and dry, would be fantastic.
Anywhere in the world? Then "anywhere in the world" that isn't Massachusetts would be my choice.
Marooned on a nice little island where it's nice and warm (not stinking hot) where the mosquitoes and other vermin are non-existent. With a crate full of books, a crate full of nice wines and the stick so I can stay connected to hubpages and the internet on my laptop. Ahhhhh pure bliss!!!!!
Can I be angelina jolie, my mom will like it, she looks like ange
Somewhere that is not far from the ocean, but still has autumn foliage in the fall and snow in the winter. Is there such a place?
Anywhere else, as long as I have a bed, food, a place to live and an extremely hot and sensual lady to enjoy. Location doesn't really matter.
faithful lady and one which can be your partner emotionally too
Hawaii never been there, would like to try it out for a year.

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would you live and why?I would choose somewhere in Europe, possibly Spain or Italy. If I must stay in the U.S then any state where it is warm year round!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?For me, it would be Ireland. I have never even been out of the eastern United States, but I plan on going to Ireland someday - it's my dream! What about you?

Just a random thought after watching the 10th Kingdom...I personally would live either in Vancouver, Canada... or Chicago, Illinois. Both for the same reason which is film ha. Chicago has my dream school, Columbia College Chicago, and Vancouver is where I have noticed tons of amazing indie films are...

Would you prefer to live in the city (town) or live in the country? Why?
