What causes some people to be repeatedly banned from the forums?
"Laud Oh Howdy Woman,
You tryin' to get da masser to whip us all? You ain't had enough trouble with the Mister always takin' you out back'n behinds the barn? An' you always a comin' back a cryin',sometimes bruised, and that one time you was bleedin'. Don't cha love us no moe Shelly?" Sweet Beulah Land Quote
Was that a racial mocking ? Sad we here on HP are above that.
No, it wasn't a racial mocking, it was a satirical commentary about the forums. I'm Black.
That Is Exactly The point. Offensive I read it and did not get that message. Bad taste of words.
Lilly - That's the funniest thing I've read here today! Some people just don't get the humor of it all :-) I'm so proud that Grace knows the intent of your sentiment !!!
With All Due Respect Always. One must know the whole story behind the Q&A.
Whoa! I wish there was a rule for PERMANENTLY banning these repeat offenders. They never, ever seem to learn a darn thing. Just for the record, I have been temporarily banned myself a couple of times, but I learned not to do or say those kinds of things for future reference.
But the real beauty of it all is that these forums just show off some people's stupidity and we all know you can't fix stupid!
Lol! Well let us all learn to stay out of the forums. We are smart that way.
Oh, Lilly, yours was evry bit as good and so was the one by Chris :-)
A long time ago, in a Hub
galaxy far, far away……
It is a period of Hubber
war. Rebel Hubbers
striking from a hidden
base, have won their
first victory against
the evil Hubber Empire.
During the battle, hubber
rebel spies managed to
steal secret plans to the
hubber empires ultimate
weapon, the Ban Button,
a button with enough
power to ban a hubber
rebel forever.
Pursued by the Hubber
Empires sinister agents,
a hubber with the screen
name Princess Lela races
home aboard her hubber
ship, custodian of the stolen
ban button that can save
the rebel hubbers and
restore them to the forums.
All you missed was my rank. I am officially known as the supreme commander of the entire universe! Cute poem, I give you an A+ :-)
I don't know why this popped into my head when I read the question, but it did. So I looked up the words to the Star Wars scrolling epilogue and went to work. My apology oh supreme commander of the entire universe. May the 4th be with you.
The 4th is strong in.you, my friend. We shall sally forth and rule with compassion and the coolness of the ice world of Hoth.
(I have to get this out of my mind or I won't sleep tonight)
Princess Lela, I am your father.
Yes, I'm leaving you this stupid helmet. It makes me sound like I'm talking through a garden hose.....and it's so damned hot inside. But it's yours. Later when I'm gone. I'm taking the light saber with me.
You mean I'll be able to clone you from all that sweat? Sweet...
Knowing when to delete your reply is very important. If you have had too much coffee, your blood pressure is 200/150 because of the topic, deleting your thoughts is wise. Not knowing when to stop causes more trouble that necessary( i.e. get you kicked off forums). Trust me, I have loads of experience.
I have learned THAT.........Sometimes one can ever be so nice, and BAM..... h/she is BANNED yet again. Political correctedness and oversensitivity has gone TOO FAR I say!

If I may be so bold as to make a request of HubPages, I would like you to please re-examine at this time your decision to ban Jerrico Usher from the Hub Forums. He has proven himself to be quite mindful of the mistake he made before and seems to me to be waaay to smart to make the same mistake...

Okay, now it's Smoothassilk, Pearldiver and Tantrum...what's the deal with being 'banned?' What is this line that is crossed? I'm fairly new, so I am not sure about the 'rules,' though I have read through the guide.

How do Hubbers get banned from forums?I've noticed people on Hubpages mentioning that they've been, or are being, banned from the forums. How does this happen? What rules do you have to break to get banned?

Just an idea I'm tossing out there. How about HP declaring on Monday a blanket forum amnesty for all forum-banned Hubbers?I'm saying Monday so that HP has the weekend to mull the idea over.I am not suggesting any changes to forum rules. If HP grants the amnesty, and a Hubber turns around and...

This has become a practice used by our leftest friends who want to silence any and all opposition. Whatdaya think?

I have read numerous hubs while hopping that I thought would be great if the writer did some editing or word smithing. I thought it would be nice to let people know that thier piece could be so much better with out trying to hurt anyones feelings. I have commented on a couple of pages...
