               Don't need paper to call it marriage.
               
               As in all Buddhist teachings, the institution of marriage is considered a personal and individual concern. It is not considered a religious duty or a sacrament ordained in heaven. It is rather a social convention designed to promote well being and happiness and to distinguish humans from animal life.
               
               Because Buddhists are accepting of other religions, even within the same household, there are no religious laws that require that both individuals in a marriage should be Buddhist or that conversion to either's religious conviction is warranted or expected.

      Yes, she is a funny little thing, had her own personality from day one. She used to cough on purpose for my attention. Whenever I went over I was coughing. (put out a cig before I came in) So she would cough every time she saw me.
      
      My daughter says, "She's not sick or thirsty ma, she only does that when you're here!" So I realized, that's what she thought to call me.

          went on a mini road trip with terry
          
          we got a new truck bout a week ago so dont have to stress about it breaking down ... first time i have gotten out of the house in about a month for something other than going grocery shopping or to get cigs gas or something other

    Hey all, just breezing by the forums... I want to get a little hubbing done.
    
    @Figment - Sorry about your daughter having to leave.  That has to be hard.  My eldest is starting Kindergarten next fall, and I'm bummed about him being gone 1/2 a day! I don't know if I'd do very well letting go for that much time.  But, I suppose its all relative too... It probably won't phase me on the days I work, b/c I'll see him the same as always.
    
    Anyway... just rambling... I've had WAY too much caffeine today.  Best of luck to your daughter, and

    Pretty good. I've got a couple of articles for HP worked out. I've gotten hooked up with SheToldMe and Xomba; I'm working on re-working my profile page so people don't "bounce" away...I'm attempting to learn how to read Google analytics....pondering the mysteries of AdWords (which I know NOTHING about)...LOL...and trying to help a fellow HUbber edit her work so she can publish again...LOL

                   Well...I've got the outlines and research for two marketing hubs done, and I'm hoping to publish one of them today (which means I have to finish writing it...but for me that's the easy part).
                   
                   I'm pondering AdWords, and don't really know how it works...Do I have to pay to use the ads associated with the keywords I choose? *confused*
                   
                   And I'm also thinking about how to re-work my profile page to make it more interesting and link it to stuff...And I'm considering how I can go about getting a website...cheaply. LOL.

    If you have an extra file drawer, here is a little tip for ya.  I made monthly folders so that I could sort my ideas for upcoming hubs into them. That way if I have something that is relevant to the season or a particular holiday I know where the info is at.

    It's good your are preparing now though. I know when Pinky decided for certain she started packing about two months ahead and it helped out tremendously when moving day finally came. We stacked everything that was packed and ready to go into the dining room. Wasn't very pretty but it worked to keep the clutter out of her room.

    As to adwords unless you are advertising through google you don't have to pay for the keywords you are using in your article.
    
    Adwords and adsense are a bit different in that respect. Adwords would be the words you purchase to insert your ads into your article. With adsense they are the words that google thinks searchers will use to find your articles and free for us here at HP.
    
    So basically you type up your article with all these great keywords to generate search traffic. Google then picks up on them and places ads within the article that are related to those keywords. So, if you are writing about romance novels and that is one of your keywords you are going to see ads for romance novels or books etc on your article all placed there by google for free.
    
    When a reader comes to your article to read they may see one of these ads and then click on it which will take them to the external site where they may purchase something, click gets you pennies on the dollar for what google thinks the ad is worth and a purchase thru the click will get you even more.
