        now, really I think you should look at my hub on tree-houses - there's limited room - can't have a ball room - can't put a lot of stress on the tree -  So if you want a really large central house for celebrations (every night) then we could build that on the ground - or into the side of a hill?

        Yes, and hedge mazes that end in spike-lined pits...trip wires that release enormous boulders to crush our intruders...cage traps designed to drop down on top of them (that way we can save some for the amphitheatre)....Hmm, this is turning into the Roman Empire.

    the whole idea of treehouses, hmr, is to be INCONSPICIOUS!

    Also - very low energy costs and more is less and all that good stuff!  SO if you want a coliseum - well, build one over there by the quarry, not here in the woods!
