      Ahh...Sorry that took so long. My elderly gentleman had an asthma attack and needed a nebulizer treatment; he was upset, and I was worried about him.

   Yeah, he's doing okay now. It's tough on him. Poor thing's got COPD and Cerebral Palsy. He needed to have his nebulizer treatment, and I sat with him for a little while until he calmed down.

   I do know.  It's my sister's husband.  His father.  Every time I call my sister I can hear his dad hacking up a lung.  COPD after he smoked a carton of cigs a day.

          I'm a freelance writer/editor. I have a handful of clients right now; mostly business-type/advertising work. Although I do edit text and course materials for online colleges as well.

          Ive tried everything-I have nightmares-so if i do get to sleep-dont stay there (have even taken stuff to calm those-but, no luck)

             Yikes, I'm sorry to hear about the nightmares. I used to have severe problems with those. Now, only every so often. I learned lucid dreaming techniques, and that has helped with the bad dreams, for me. But everyone's different. It sucks, though, I know that.

    Sorry.  HC I am probably 7 huors ahead of you in African hell.  I record sound returns.  We have 6 large air gun arrays behind the boat.  Some eggheads decided on a timing interval and a volume and we blast air and record the return off the seafloor.  On this job there is a recording boat and two source vessels.  I am on one of the source vessels.

    I wish, but no.  We get contracted by different oil companies to conduct a survey.  Then we go out and do the survey.  Its a pretty good sized company.  We have about 12 ships and a few hundred employees.

    I miss the little things too.  Fresh milk, being able to go out to the store, and things like that.  5 weeks on and 5 weeks off gives me time to do the things that I want to do when I am at home though.

    I doubt it, its 115 degrees outside.  Almost too hot to go outside.  We make do.  Sunday is pink Sunday, where everyone wears pink.  That is the extent of our "wild" side out here.  Oh and practical jokes.

       I am in the instrument room in front of my computers, the AC doesnt keep up with the heat, but we have 6 fans blowing on us.  I have 12 screens, the QC guy has 3 the Navigation dept has 17.  So at the end of shift I head for a coldish shower, and then watch a movie or TV series that we have on the server.  Or I write a little.  All of comms are satellite based, so it makes small internet tasks take twice to 3 times as long.

    It is because I can be just as loud and demanding as I want to be online!  and no one around here knows anything about it!  And after last night, I now have a treehouse, a pink farrari with flames and the most gorgeous kitchen - I don't know for sure what the tribehouse looks like, though - wish hmr would come back and fulfill some more of my wishes.  Also  he gave me a full-body massage that put me right to sleep!

       I'm not writing anything. I actually have a Letter to write in Philosophy class that's due in two weeks, plus I have to prepare a four-minute introduction speech on myself for my Oral Communications class; so, I won't have time for writing many hubs going forward unfortunately.
