Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Here is my article: Women At Their 50's And How To Deal With Age's Changes.
This is a strong topic with good potential. However the English in this article is not up to HP standards. I suggest you have someone proofread it for you. It's not just spelling and grammar -- it's also usage and structure issues.
Good luck!
I may not be in your demographic, but someday I will be living with a woman in their 50S... Anyways,
1. Watch the capitalization on titles and subtitles. Not every word will start with capital letter.
2. Several of your sentences within the article body do not start with a capitalized word.
3. English and grammar throughout the article. Give the article a solid proof read and use software if available.
4. Watch for words out of context, those spelled correctly and might not be caught unless a solid proofread. Examples: In the main title substituting "in" for "at" or time "spent" not "send" at the gym.
5. There appears to be a ratings capsule that tells the reader to "cast your vote for any soft perfume" ... This does not make sense.
Best of luck!
Thank you miss or greenmind. I am glad. You read my article. I can see . You most be one of hub pages editors. Since , you say with authority that it is not hub pages standards. I will find someone to read it and I will fix it to publish it. I hope you can read it when it is finally done. Thank you
We say things with certainty because we have been here a long time and know the rules. Also it does not take a high degree of expertise to notice that many of your sentences in this hub do not start with a capital letter. Pretty much any standard for writing is going to require correct sentence punctuation.
I am a woman in her 50s and I'm afraid I would not gain much from this article. There is no authority to this article (how are you qualified to give this information?). If I have found it online I would stop reading in the first paragraph.
Some of the sentences are like you are talking to a 5 year old e.g. " It is best to use the bathroom before working out is advisable. putting up the hair in a punny tail with a rubber band cover with fabric is better. The hair will not get tangle during movements."
There are a whole bunch of facts I would question e.g. "Drinking plenty of water is good for the body. Even the drinks with sugar." Where is your evidence that drinking drinks with sugar is good for the body?
"After working out the results are magnificent because the cholesterol levels go down" - again where is the evidence for this. If you want this to go to a niche site you will need to quote sources to back up your claims. I'm afraid I could go on.
Plus yes, it is not written in good English. I understand that this could be a problem if English is your second language but unfortunately HP requires articles to be written in good, actually perfect (for niche sites), English.
