I am a safety coordinator in the oil patch in Alberta, Canada.
Part time I am a marketer online. I do well online but honestly not sure if I could ever feel comfortable enough to walk away from my pay check. Especially after getting screwed over so bad by EBay last year
Hey Dale...are you in Fort Mac by any chance? and do you work for Suncorp by any other chance? I know thats kind of giving out a lot of info, its just because my brother in law is there, and wouldnt it be weird if you worked with him? stranger things have happened Just my curiosity coming out here, you don't have to respond if you are uncomfortable with giving out that info...
I do work a lot for Suncor, in fact almost exclusively in the last 3 years but most of my work is deep in the Rocky Mountains on very high profile, high pressure gas wells.
I'm a full time graduate student. I work online producing sales copy, press releases, product descriptions for catalogs...business type things. I also edit and proofread for a company that produces academic texts for colleges and universities with online components (I do this remotely as well). I care for an elderly and disabled man at home as well.
I have more than enough stuff to work on, but I need more editing/proofreading clients...Sometimes I have great months, and sometimes not so great.
Used to teach English Literature once; now am studying for a psychology degree and working for mentally disabled people....I travel extensively, and love working with less privileged children all over the world. Writing is just a passion for me... not a source of income. (Mercifully, have a husband to help pay the bills...! )
I work at Papa Johns...I am a phone girl. Glamorous is it not? I am doing college so I have no other time to do anything else. I do work full time there and I love every minute of it. Except for all the cussings I get.
That cartoon with Adam and Eve cracked me up totally. I'm still trying to figure out how to get a pic into a forum thread--I followed the example in Formatting Tips, no joy...
I'm an accountant. I monitor commodities online for a brokerage firm, and yes, I do taxes...I'm self-employed and generally happy with the situation.
I'm the most boring person that responded to this thread. Everyone else has interesting jobs...working in a methadone clinic, working on a nuclear submarine...what is it with my life? How did I get into boring work, from being an ex-rock'n'roller keyboard mistress of the synthesizer??????
Find a picture you like on the web. Right click it and copy the address next to location or properties. Place it in between these two brackets (don't leave any spaces)
Electrical Contractor. I work for myself or contract myself out to companies to run the jobs for them. Hoping to begin to focus more on my own ventures if the economy ever picks back up. I hate the "politicing" with other companies.
Did you hear Hokey I may be very rich soon. I have invented push-up jocks for men. Sort of based on the same principle of a woman's push-up bra. To give support for men's kanakas.
BP~ they should name gender after you...because words doesn't begin to explain it...the only way to describe you is to look at you, and then you don't want to blink...because you don't want to miss anything
UH I am terribly sorry I will accept full blame. I only mentioned the lopped ear and missing eyebrow I bungled in my hairdressing career and things escalated from there with these beautiful people. Please accept these roses as a token of my apology lol
Help - some gratuitous advice is needed! Background: I'm 44, I have worked, at least part-time since I was 15, I went to uni, graduated and then either worked or travelled full-time for the next 20+ years. Last year we travelled from Mar-Sept Sept we got as far as Perth and decided to...
I'm exploring to this whole hub concept... is it really worth all the hassle and uncertainty of writing/working for yourself online or do you think it's better to just get a real brick-and-mortar job?
Is it enough punishment to help safeguard our children? Not to mention our adults? As often as rape occurs, sex offenders still do less time in prison than drug traffickers.Given we know sex offenders attack primarily for the violence, and not the sexual gratification, would castration be...
