   Hello.  As a newbie here I am anxious to meet other writers and continue reading hubs, I really am inspired by many so far.
   
   Being new I would like to introduce myself
   
   My name is BillY and I live in Memphis.  I am a singer/songwriter and excited to launch my first official tour in June.  Lessons taught me the importance of being signed with a good label, and luck has now arranged this
   
   My rhythm remains driven by country, blues and Folk music and recently am toying with Rap, quite the difference from my usual work.
   
   I married my wife recently in Canada where gay marriage is legal.
   
   I stumble to find my way around and really enjoy this site so far.
   
   So if you would be so kind to tell me who you are
   
   I would appreciate it, thank you

         Don't be scared. For the most part it's very supportive and friendly here. I put some poems on mine that I was a little nervous about, but  it's been good. Just have fun with it.

    Hi, BillY--welcome and more than welcome.  I'll go check out your hubs in a minute.
    
    My wife and I are two-gender married but definitely think in "alternative" terms.  Got one, and maybe 2, prison pen pals who will eventually (when their terms are up) come to join us in Arizona, for instance.  I'm also a singer/songwriter but have never paid the "30 Years In A Smoke Filled Bar" price to do that professionally--unless you count a restaurant with a tip jar.  Do have 80 songs on YouTube under the Mogularian user name.
    
    But on here, I'm usually writing hubs about (at the moment, anyway) building our "hybrid house" single handed or working to get Obama out of office on the political front.
    
    So basically I'm a fiscal conservative Sarah Palin supporter who has a nontraditional relationship and is pro choice on abortion--big into defying labels, I guess. 
    
    Okay, off to read your stufff....

       Tantrum thanks but what sucks is now that I signed with a label I cannot publicly release any of my work until the album release and tour launch.  Ridiculous, but let me see what i can do via email I'll send your profile page if I can find rough recordings.  Won't be the final cut. nor video but vocals and 3 guitars and a harmonica thats it.  I'll try but thanks for being interested   Nice to meet you

    Welcome.  We've sort of met already, but I thought I'd join your house warming forum.  I hope you find what you are looking for here.  It's a decent place to share artistic writing, and so far I haven't been censored, so, while readership is hard to come by, any is better than none. Most of the people here are nice and supportive, and the ones that aren't are really fun to screw with.

    How do, BillY. I'm a composer/songwriter, too. Used to write a little country with Dan Truman of Diamond Rio, but that was BEFORE he became famous. (Those songs were a good exercise in songwriting. LOL So in other words, I've never had a hit on the charts...) 
    
    I write all kinds of things, with emphasis now mostly on film and stage musicals.
    
    I look forward to reading your hubs and getting to know you more. You'll have to write some hubs with youtube vids of you performing. We all want to listen!
