Can't wait until I'm REALLLLY old and can be a totally obnoxious old lady like you run into at the Wal-Mart!  Maybe by then I'll even have a cane I can whack people with if they don't get out of my way as I'm headed toward a sale item!

Wow you must have strong lungs.  I probably possess very strong feelings about smoking, but I do not like it because my dad insisted on smoking for years.  We tried to help him quit and he thought it would never get to him, but now he is having health complications.  He is lucky he does not have cancer because my grandpa died from lung cancer and smoking.  There are many things I can stand, but when people start smoking I have to leave the area because I literally start choking and cannot breath.

I'm asking about your last response to my last response to your previous response on the Hub I wrote to your request. You said you had "a good reason" that had nothing to do with archaeology, forensics, etc. My curiosity is my weakest link, so I had to ask: what's your reason?

And now you're off to a meeting and I have to wait. ARGH!

Thanks, SweetiePie. Did you see Stooge's final comment? Do I have a reason to ask?

I think Stooge is just trying to learn more about Christianity beyond a scientific basis and why people believe what they believe.  I could be wrong, but that seemed to be what he was asking.  However, I guess we should wait to see what he has to say.

Unfortunately, I can't really help him there, except point him at a few books. History, I can comment intelligently. Religion, I'm still seeking myself.

Okay, SweetiePie (and Stooge), I just re-read that comment and now I'm with the program. I utterly misunderstood his words before; I took his question to mean that he HAD a reason and that nobody had yet mentioned it. Now it makes a LOT more sense.

                Thanks, both of you.

and now a dinner time joke and then I'm off to the kitchen---

    Dear Friends,
It is with the saddest heart I pass on the following:

Please join me in remembering a great icon, the veteran Pillsbury spokesman, the Pillsbury Doughboy who died yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Cap'n Crunch.

The gravesite was piled high with flours. Long-time friend, Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded.

Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very "smart" cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he even still, as a crusty old man, was considered a roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about twenty minutes.

    big_smile  see ya all later!!
