I'll pass on the cold. When I drops below 70 then I start putting on my long johns, heavy t-shirts, snuggie, and blankets.. I was tempted to start a bonfire in my living room last night, but I ran out of marshmallows. I really, really hate the cold!
Not me.. At least when it's hot you can go in and cool down. In the winter, there's just no escaping the cold. You go inside to warm up and it takes forever.. It's like living in Siberia with penguins chasing Eskimos around - I just can't do it..
..and I'd offer to let you use my boots, but, well, they're bright pink with little bunnies on them. Nevermind.
New York? No, thanks. Big urban jungle with wild two legged animals around loose! Bars on windows and doors in residential areas. Not a flower pot, not a chair outside. Probably otherwise will be stolen. New York, indeed... Hate big cities.
I like your name, Ray. My name is Alla, not Allah. I usually puzzle muslims with my name. And I am not God and not an angel either. Just an ordinary human being. in Canada since 1992, in Toronto since 2004. I don't like snakes, crocodiles and insects, so cold climate is nice. Kills those pesky things. One day I will, I WILL move from Toronto. I don't like big cities. It's just I have a job here,I need something to live on.
Hi Everyone, I like your thread! I'm Denise and I'm from the U.S. Initially born and raised in the Detroit, Michigan area, traveled a bit and lived in Alaska and California. (LOVE CA btw and miss it ) and I'm currently a resident of the wonderful state of North Carolina.
Nice to meet you all...or, as they say down south, Y'all
Hi Vicki...you absolutely MUST take a visit at least. Go to Anchorage and then take a side trip to Seward for a day cruise to see the glaciers and ocean life and then visit Denali National Park for the wild life and Mount McKinley.
I'm Crystal from Athens, Alabama. Not quite southern but I do use the word y'all though often get made fun of for the way I say it. I love the summer heat here but the cold is terrible. Nice to re-meet everyone!
......before i log off....i'm Free Spirit....parents were hippies...i think this has been asked before a couple of times....i'm from Great Gig in Canada....it's a cozy little place.......Pacific Ocean........rains too much in the winter.....
nite to you, i am just getting up. Yes this has been done before, but it is great to learn a little about each other, and talk to someone so far away like this ..... it always amazes me, Canada, that is so far away..... Have you written a hub about your parents being hippies.
...in south-central Indiana. No joke!It was cold when I left the house earlier this evening. Colder still when I left point A to go to a restaurant. Leaving after eating, we sure enough saw white stuff falling out of the sky. It looked like November.Probably won't be enough to...
So, some of you guys know that I've been trying to sell my IPOD for... well, like two months now. Before you start getting all clickity, no, I'm not trying to use HubPages to sell my IPOD, I want to discuss an e-mail that I got from a prospective buyer. There's no "internet"...
Our weather prediction here in Wisconsin is calling for snow! The eastern part of the United States was unpleasantly surprised. The leaves are simply gorgeous - bright yellow combined with rich dark brown oak leaves.Oh, how I hate to see autumn leave us and winter arrive. Are you ready for winter?...
Last Friday we had several inches of snow after a few really cold days (temps in the teens). I was able to easily drive to work in it. Today was a different story. We had freezing rain and ice hit just before I left to go to work. 90% of my journey to work is on the...
Now to you Northernors (and those around the globe that have mucho snow!)...even those in Dallas (PDH). That may be no big deal...but down here...especially this early (Dec. 4)...our winter is barely starting! The drivers will freak...the ground is soppin' wet...(so mucho ice!)...and our...
