What are your goals on Hubpages?

I've decided that my two goals are as follows:

1.) Always have more hubs than followers(dumb I know, haha)!

2.) Have the most hubs on Hubpages!

I feel these are two great goals, because it is great to have goals that are possible.

I feel that if I try to have more followers than hubs, it will keep me busy, haha. And if I get the most hubs on hubpages that would be great!

I was at 30 hubs and 60 followers at 1 time. I only bring this up because I am passing my followers mark!

lol, I used to try and follow number (1) smile

My number of followers are passing up the number of hubs published. I am even more behind now since I deleted 9 hubs lol.

Surprised someone else was trying to get more hubs than followers besides me. Originally, both numbers were about the same for a while.

My goal is to get followers, get lots of views, and to make money.

My goal is to get out good information with my music hubs and make other interesting hubs.  I'm working on a hub of "Why America is Getting Dumber."  I've been doing research into this, and I think this will be my best hub.

I also want to make a reasonable amount of money and get a few followers.  Unlike that other guy, I would want to have more followers than hubs (especially because I only have four hubs right now).

If you want quality, then both these goals are not achievable.

I wanted to have 100 hubs, 100 followers and a 100 Hubber score.

      That did not happen.

My new goal is 1,000, 1,000, 1000.  Yes, I am aware that is impossible.

Seriously, I don't set goals. What will be, will be.  I write what I want, and actually discourage followers. Whatever money comes is what comes. What matters to me most is enjoying myself here.

      Which I do wink

Forget it.  I intend to bypass Bill Gates in 2012 (google adsense may have to grow some) and buy the world in 2014. You will be too late! lol

I would love to make enough money on here to pay for my mortgage. Okay, my real goal is to make enough money to not have to work if I so choose. Have a long way to go to reach either of those goals! tongue

I think I might be succeeding right now with one of my goals...to improve my typing ability.  I can speel real good; I just can't type worth a flip. LOL

Seriously though, I'd like to interact with new people and hopefully make a few new friends.  I think I'm doing that already.  And eventually make enough money to at least buy a tank of gas or two. smile

I want to write at least a hub a day and make $1000/month on adsense. I still have a long way to go with the adsense, but I think if I am diligent about my first goal, the second goal should come automatically.

Another one of my goals is to make 1000 a month. That seems to be a goal of many. However, I am more looking towards 600 dollars first.

That is a worthy goal and as time goes on I intend to increase my goals to such levels. My current goal on HubPages it to get my first payout from Google AdSense. We all have to start somewhere smile

Question - What are the tax implications of receiving $1,000 per month from Google adsense in the US ?  Do you have to declare it?  What is tax rate?

Just curious - I live in the UK

    1. paradigmsearch profile image60
paradigmsearchposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Yes. If we don't declare it, evil things begin to happen...smile

Tax bracket and/or marginal rate is graduated. The more you make, the higher percentage you pay.

    1. Improving my English
    2. Learning technical aspects of internet, seo......from great people so that after few years if not months I can surely know what I am doing.
    4. Attaining love and respect from the community.
    3. Making friends [ of course ]
    4. Building myself as a good freelance writer
    5. Earning at least 1 dollar/hub on an average every month.

      1. Evergreen Content

      2. Content that keep people coming in again

      3. Get hubs that get 300-500 views per days

      4. Get hubs that generate meaningful comments and discussions

      5. Get $3000 earnings per month

      6. Find a niche that engages visitors

I have reached the one that I initially aspired for - more organic views/hits when compared with hub pages views/hits per day

Funny how a few short weeks of hubbing shifts the goal posts.

Initial goal was to write some stuff and get paid.
    Didn't happen.

Next goal was to get search traffic.
    Hasn't happened.

New goal is to keep plugging away until something happens.

That would be nice, but it will be socks.  It's always socks.  I thought about writing him a letter re. the sock problem, but it would only turn into an abusive rant.  And he does a lot of good work for children.

What is my goal on HP, well let me see...

           1. write more hubs than I did last year.
           2. Try to become more involved in HP forums than in the last year.
           3. Keep on enjoying what I am doing here

If I manage to do 1 and 2 then am sure 3 will happen on its own.
