If you scroll down, you can see the comments of Ryankett answered by Jason Menayan, the four ads placement are competing - google ads versus HP ads, the one with higher amount will be the ad shown.

Ha, that has to be your problem. I signed up for the new ad program, but was busy and had to leave.. so didn't get to check for a couple hours. That is obviously it, excited you got it too.

Its great to know Shifa that you joined the Hubpages ad program. I would say give it an hour or two to see the hubpages ad on your hubs and always check by logging out of your account. All the best and happy earnings.

Whoopee!!!  I have not received an email but was able to activate my HP Ad Program, so I'm set.  Thank you Hubpages!  I'm so excited, although I'm doing great with Adsense and hoping to reach payout in a couple of months.. I guess it might take longer now.  But I'm so excited about the new HP Ad Program as I've read so many reached payout in a few weeks.  Thank you once again Hubpages.  Whoppee!!! big_smile big_smile big_smile

    Everyone,

There are processing delays with respect to reporting for the HubPages Ad Program (please see the notification on your Program reporting page).

As I explained here, the HubPages Ad Program draws from many different ad sources. If one of them is slow in reporting, or if there is a glitch on their end or our end on digesting their reporting data, then earnings reporting is held up for everyone. There's nothing we can do except let you know the data isn't complete yet, and to work to get the data and/or fix the problem.

The timing of this reporting glitch is unfortunate, right as a thousand new users are signing on for the first time. I can understand the confusion!

    1. Jason Menayan profile image59

It's due to an agreement we have with Google, since we do serve AdSense ads via the Program as well. Google doesn't want people ineligible for AdSense to have another way to get access to AdSense ads.

        Jason,

I find that while the earnings are impressive from Hubpages Ad program, it has dried up my Google earnings. If I stop Hubpages Adprogram temporarily and  wait for 2 months, I can cash out from Google and then re-start HP Ads.

Can I deactivate temporarily and then re-activate HP ads later? Will my accumulated earnings so far will remain as it is?

        Please clarify.

Yes, you can, but please read the TOS to make sure you understand that being inactive for too long will cause you to forfeit any accrued earnings.

Jason, I have a question if you don't mind.

The User Agreement specifically states that we get paid HubAd earnings on our 60% share of our impressions, on our Hubpages.

The only part which remains unclear to me is what happens to the 10% of impressions that we take from our referrals.

Would you be able to confirm one way or the other, do we still take 10% of our referrals impressions from the Hubpages Ad Program or do we not?

Because this would probably make a big difference to whether or not I actively promote Hubpages externally on my own sites.

            Thanks,

            Ryan.

            1. Jason Menayan profile image59
Jason Menayanposted 14 years agoin reply to this

              Yes.

Let's say Hubber A referred in Hubber B.

              For Hubber B's impressions:
              60% go to Hubber B
              30% go to HubPages
              10% go to Hubber A

If Hubber A is participating in the HubPages Ad Program, then on those 10% of impressions that are hers, HubPages Ad Program ads will be shown, even if Hubber B is not participating in the Program.

                OK, that's great.

It doesn't make a huge amount of difference to me, because I don't have too many decent referrals, but it makes a huge difference to people like Darkside.

                Thanks for the swift reply.

    1. Jason Menayan profile image59

Hi HH - do you mean with the Title Tuner? A bit off-topic for this thread, but I'm happy to answer. smile

The percentage numbers represent the percentage of searches coming to that Hub from search engines that include that term.

In the "Searches by Engine" list below that, the number is the number of searches using that exact phrase that came to your Hub from search engines over the last 30 days.

        Hi,

Just trying to be positive in a 'world of gloom' and look to the future.
I am a newbie in the ads program (2 days), and don't have piles of Hubs.
I received $0.79 for 200+ impressions on the first day (Whooppee!). My visits are up slightly in analytics but adsense earnings over the last 4 days are at the 'add cents' level $0.19 !!! I don't really understand why the click rate declined so much, even before the new ads replaced them on the page.

I have started to write articles again, but I am now focused on keyword selection and backlinks. I didn't suffer from the 'Panda' squat in terms of traffic, but adsense earnings are way down.  If this does not work - its bye bye Hubs Baby.

Trying to be positive, despite what's happening.
I write articles out of interest mostly, and the income is a bonus.

My next worry is what happens when Panda invades Britain, EU, Australia etc.

If I may... I'm also new in the HP Ad program - 2 days - and in two days I got 209 impressions with $1.15 earnings and my Adsense earnings have not been affected yesterday and today.. so far so good.  My Adsense earnings have been on an upward trend and was hoping to reach payout in a couple of months.. so probably I will have to wait longer now.. but in 2 days I am earning double - from Adsense and my HP Ad earnings - so, not bad, not bad at all.

          1. Pcunix profile image83
Pcunixposted 14 years agoin reply to this

As my Adsense earnings here dropped to a penny or less per day after the Panda snarled, I suppose it is true enough that the HP ads haven't "hurt" Adsense  - it's still a penny or less per day smile

What I'm seeing so far is that the HP Ads, while showing much higher CPM, are actually delivering approximately the same net income that Adsense was doing  pre-Panda.  Of course that's because of reduced traffic and as it looks like SE traffic is starting to climb back to where it was, I have hopes of this being a Very Good Thing.

Is the Hubpages Ad program only click based or it also pays something based on display ads (not requiring ad clicks)?

Wow! I have earned $1.15 in two days on HP Ad program, and my Adsense earnings have not been affected.  Thanks again, HP!!! big_smile big_smile big_smile

Got an invite 4 days ago, activated it a day after. Since the activation I have earned $1.45 on HP Ad Program, but my daily Adsense earnings since the activation is ZERO. Haven't had experienced zero daily earnings for several months (except for my first few months here in HP), I wonder if the cause of this is the HP Ad Program. I was earning daily in Adsense at a range of 1$-3$, earned only my highest (5$+) once, and 4$+ 3x.

If I still see zero or very low earnings in Adsense, I think I will deactivate Hp Ad, but I would still give it another week before I deactivate it.

My main account has been on HubPages new ad program for a little over 2 days and made $1.20. I am still getting some AdSense earnings from hubs too, but not enough to make up what I used to get.

I'm going to keep the new ad program going for a while longer and see how things go. I'm well past payout for AdSense this month so I'm not worried about that right now. I will not let it jeopardize my AdSense payout for next month. I'll stop it well before then if it looks like it's headed that way.

It's kinda peculiar I made more than double with Kontera than with HubPages new ad program for the last couple of days. Kontera is being phased out soon though. I'm holding on to the new ad program for now. We'll see.

Before activating HP Ad Program, I had presumed that my next Adsense payout would be next month. But with zero earnings straight for 3 days, and if this still continues, I believe that I won't be paid next month.

Still, I will leave this HP Ad activated for another week or so. Let's see what will happen and I'll report back here. I think it's too early to tell about HP Ad Program.
