The U.S. has seen some pretty hot summer temperatures this month, and lots of places are seeing the heat rise (both due to the season and other freakish weather shifts). With this being the case, chances are that you've become quite the expert in keeping cool despite the warm weather. Why not write about it this week?
As it happens, there are plenty of folks searching online for tips on keeping cool.
Here are some keywords to consider including in a title of one of your Hubs on the subject (or to pepper in the Hub's body): keeping cool in the heat, hats that keep you cool, ways to keep cool, how to keep a room cool, keeping cool in hot weather, keep a cool head, keep cool neck, how to keep your dog cool, keeping dog cool, keep dog cool, keeping cool in summer, keeping house cool, ways to stay cool in the summer, keep car cool, ways to keep your house cool, keeping your cool, and how to keep cool
These keywords popped up after some basic research with the Google Keyword tool, and are ideal in the sense that they have more than 500 but fewer than 50,000 global searches each month. I have not researched each of these competition-wise, so you might want to Google a phrase or potential title before choosing it to make sure you're not covering an exhausted topic in which you don't stand much chance of overtaking the competition.
You can do your own keyword research, too - here's how!
If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:
1) Click here to visit this week's topic. 2) Click the green button "answer this question". 3) Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it." 4) Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens 5) Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before. 6) After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.
That's a great "keeping cool" tip Simone; the warm water is supposed to acclimate your body better to the exterior temp, an equalization of sorts. Brilliant! Great topic choice! Can't wait to read all of the "cool" hubs. Excited to put a couple of words to the cyber-page myself this week. Happy Hubbing all~ K9
Great minds think alike Denise! About the smilies; there are two or three different codes to choose from. Make sure you're choosing the "forum" code for each little guy. Once you click on the character you like, go to the top and you will find the code for that smilie; this is where you choose the "forum" friendly code. Ley me know if this works for you-- hubHugs DH!
I sort of already published a 5,000 word hub for homeowners and service techs interested in home a/c tune ups. I think that I should probably use more common vernacular - but instead I tend to aim at more industry specific keywords. . .
Wesman Todd, you may be on to someting there...homeowners (new or otherwise) can really find practical and useful tips from your hub. Maybe your point about industry vernacular has value. You have a lot to teach us my friend!
Loved this hub DH! What a great product for those uncomfortable times when red irritated skin happens. I also am thrilled by the military troop support the product is offering. You have done good things here! Monkey Butt Powder rules!
I'm in the process of writing a hub on how to be cool. I hope it will be finished by Monday before a new topic is chosen. I've taken an approach different that the ones so far published. I will say the subject is enterely in keeping with the type of topics I enjoy writing about and that take up a lot of my waking hours. But it is coming.
Looking forward to reading it! Even if you don't finish it, publish it on the thread anyway. Mine for last week was published after the topic changed but it still links to the thread. The only difference is that it won't show up in the forums.
I am hoping that one gloriously fantastical day, I'll have the financial means to build a summer home (as in, summer in the US and our hemisphere, but winter in locales such as mid- to southern-Argentina. Or maybe I'd settle for New Zealand.
Yep. And I want a pony...and and a firetruck...and I wanna be an Astronaut, a superhero, and maybe a bird.....!!
LMAO! Wow - I have to confess that I just discovered I really need to check and double check myself before responding offendedly (is that a word??).
I've been all "jacked up" over the brew-ha-ha and the inevitable hubs that this debt ceiling theatrics would inspire. And in the spirit of partisan bickering, I was ready to try to compose a decent "burn" in retaliation!
Uh....and then I saw my very own last paragraph and about dope slapped myself right off my chair!
Oh, and I almost forgot - I want Santa to come visit me personally, and I want a talking dog, and a cape so I can fly to school instead of riding the school bus where I have to sit next to Susy McTattlepoopyhead! Hee heee......Oh...no, dear - there is no limit to my, um, mature and sophisticated discourse!
Ah, either you're not from the U.S. or you have otherwise been spared the political game of chicken that was being played between the Democrats and Republicans down in D.C. Quite the display of excess testosterone!
Hmmm....inspiration, huh? I've got it! "What I did over my Summer vacation, by Cardisa.....(clears throat)......"It was a dark and stormy night......"
