Weekly Topic Inspiration: Keeping Cool

The U.S. has seen some pretty hot summer temperatures this month, and lots of places are seeing the heat rise (both due to the season and other freakish weather shifts).  With this being the case, chances are that you've become quite the expert in keeping cool despite the warm weather.  Why not write about it this week?

As it happens, there are plenty of folks searching online for tips on keeping cool.

Here are some keywords to consider including in a title of one of your Hubs on the subject (or to pepper in the Hub's body): keeping cool in the heat, hats that keep you cool, ways to keep cool, how to keep a room cool, keeping cool in hot weather, keep a cool head, keep cool neck, how to keep your dog cool, keeping dog cool, keep dog cool, keeping cool in summer, keeping house cool, ways to stay cool in the summer, keep car cool, ways to keep your house cool, keeping your cool, and how to keep cool

These keywords popped up after some basic research with the Google Keyword tool, and are ideal in the sense that they have more than 500 but fewer than 50,000 global searches each month. I have not researched each of these competition-wise, so you might want to Google a phrase or potential title before choosing it to make sure you're not covering an exhausted topic in which you don't stand much chance of overtaking the competition.

You can do your own keyword research, too - here's how

If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:

    1)    Click here to visit this week's topic.
    2)    Click the green button "answer this question".
    3)    Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it."
    4)    Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens
    5)    Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before.
    6)    After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

For more information on the Weekly Topic Inspiration program, check out the Learning Center guide.

I hope you're all keeping cool- I'm excited to read your advice!

That's a great "keeping cool" tip Simone; the warm water is supposed to acclimate your body better to the exterior temp, an equalization of sorts. Brilliant!
Great topic choice! Can't wait to read all of the "cool" cool hubs. Excited to put a couple of words to the cyber-page myself this week.

I sort of already published a 5,000 word hub for homeowners and service techs interested in home a/c tune ups.  I think that I should probably use more common vernacular - but instead I tend to aim at more industry specific keywords. . .

I'm not sure if it's "legal" for me to put this link here - but . . . .this is the one that covers most everything so far as residential air conditioning tune ups are concerned.

I'm afraid that I made it too long for anyone to read
