I understand that our girl, one of our favorite hubbers was banned yesterday. She was not told why she was banned. Today is her birthday and she cannot post on the forums because of this ban.
Often, it is the amount of reports that will get one banned. The content of their posts is irrelevant to the "flags" that go up when a certain amount of reports are placed in the system. The moderators don't bother reading the posts, they just automatically ban the person being reported.
Well said. I think it's obvious, that, given a fair, objective review, that there is only one logical conclusion, and that is that this ban is totally unwarranted and should be withdrawn immediately...
I don't know about it being a doozy, I got 4 months for upsetting one of the slimy religiously impaired who attacked me first. I don't recall my reply being worthy of a ban.
I don't know how it works, but suggest it doesn't work very well.
Thread like this are prohibited. And, what in the world would make you think that the Hubpages Staff is answerable to you or anyone else on why they ban someone else, who isn't YOU?
I don't think she was asking HP staff, or you. She was asking anyone involved in the relevant threads why Kimberley might have been banned. And I don't think this type of thread is prohibited ??????
To answer the question -
The threads where I saw Kimberley last she appeared to be behaving within limits - although she does have a tendency to fire up and get banned, so maybe another thread I did not notice ?
It's important to speak up. We all have a voice and many venues to exercise it. This is totally unfair for Kimberly. She neither deserves it, nor complains. She exemplifies class... We all know that....
Its not the 'e'. Its the image that broke TOS (wish I'd seen it now!)
And correct me if I'm wrong, but the length of forum ban is related to how many times you have been banned in the past, not for the severity of the current violation.
The text in the thread that references the snipped image does seem to indicate that the tackiness tripwire was activated. To get seven days, it must have been a really good one. Unless IzzyM is correct.
The larger question is if you know the TOS rules, why bend them to the banning point at all? I mean, unless it's an absolutely irresistible zinger against a troll...
Actually, I didn't know that nudity was a TOS violation either. I mean if the nude pose/position does the same job as a bathing suit, I would have thought it would have been ok.
No but I do find that very amusing (hilarious actually) - giving her extraordinary one dimensional take on politics/life and abuse of those who disagree with her rants.
Happy birthday Kimberly. You can do a seven day bid standing on your head - oh but don't wear a dress or you'll get banned for indecent exposure. Your elite image was great! I wish that I took a screenshot of it when it was still posted. Nude workouts sound like fun but can I wear my jockstrap. I'd hate to give myself a hernia laughing my a$$ off. I think I'll go write a jockstrap Hub and poem right now. LOL
Don't know what everyone else is up to - I am just twiddling my thumbs waiting for a semi-intelligent thread to get stuck into, and considering putting up more nude pictures of Hubpages staff excercising, to test whether that is really why Kimberley got banned
well Kimberly's updating her banning hub daily as to what to do in the day when your banned, I'm trying to touch base here and in comments until we're done 4 more days anyways.
But let's talk scoop
you trumped me in my proposal to Kimberlys thread
and beat me to it! Must be a double wedding, Jamaica for sure!
Hey Hubbers,It seems to be missing from the forum. It appears that many hubbers only come to help and then lurk above watching the forums. It seems as though there is no one chatting on a regular basis and that is because many hubbers have left the forums due to other people. So, I contend to now...
I protest. This is dictatorial. Chip, WD Curry 111 was telling how HP is abusive, and now he is banned. He was one of the best people around here. How much more HP?
Why was I banned from posting in the forums for 15 hours?I am not allowed to post on the forums for 15 hours. Ok, so surely HP must have sent me an explanation as to what I did wrong so I can learn not to do it again. I went and checked my email and NO REASON GIVEN!HP staff, even if someone reads...
Do you know of anyone else that has been banned from the forums for over 3 months?I was banned for a relatively minor banter issue on a hub relating to moderatior power back in January and I am still unable to access the forums.
