Who were the three greatest leaders of all time?
Leaders are all kinds and from all walks of life. There are great leaders from different eras. We like some of them; we hate some of them. But purely on manifested leadership capabilities, who according to you, are the three greatest leaders of all time?
Hitler, Stalin, Mao Zedong, Ho Chi Mihn.
Whether peaceful or radically destructive, each permanently changed the course of modern history.
Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and the greatest: Jesus Christ.
1. Jesus Christ 2. John F. Kennedy 3. Martin Luther King Jr.
Well, not to delve too deeply into this, but predictably most everyone is answering "popular" leaders.
I only argue that Adolf Hitler convinced an entire country, and more to follow him unquestioningly. Their fierce loyalty nearly succeeding in genocide.
Hello Vinodkpillai- I'm wondering who your choices are?
I think three of the greatest leaders of all time are: Buddha, Jesus, and Ghandi.
Jesus Christ, Reagan, and that 3rd spot is hard to fill cause there are so many.... I need top 6 lol
Great question, no easy answers but Genghis Khan has got to be in there...
There were many leader's for different era's either liked or disliked by ppl.But still only some names are printed much brighter in our history books...
# Alexander and napolean for their courage
# Netaji (subash sandra bose,India) , Che for their patriotism
#Gandhi nd Suu kyi for tolerance
#Martin Luther King , Nelson mandela as freedom fighters
# John F.Kennedy(U.S) , Winston churchill(U.K) as politicians
# Mother theresa for charity
On the top hit list these two guys are always hated by all over the world.. But yet they managed to make many people to follow them..
# ADOLF HITLER
#Osama Bin Landen
It depends on your definition of great. If you go by the dictionary term I would say Alexander III of Macedon, Adolf Hitler, and Napoleon Bonaparte.
Jesus- gave hummans direction and hope. He also led by exmaple
Ghandi- gave inspration and great quotes to live by he was a great peace maker.
George Washington- he set the tone for the USA, the most pwoerfull country on earth right now. He is the one that decided to have a democracy instead of a monarch.
" Chesty " Puller...Led by example
Abraham Lincoln...Led by moral courage
Julius Caesar...Led by strength
GREAT question Vinod! My 3 greatest leaders are:
1. Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore - who took the small island city-state from a 3rd world state in the 60's to a 1st world nation.
2. John F. Kennedy - whose charisma endeared him to many and whose pioneering space program policies eventually led to men setting foot on the moon.
3. Nelson Mandela - a whose inspirational leadership, and imprisonment led to the end of apartheid in his country.
I amazed to see how many think "great" is just for the "good". Great also means for the evil.
For me it is simple. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Hmm you say this in the past tense, so can I assume there are no present incumbents. However, I would say the typical favourites: Gandhi, Mandela and Jesus too. If I could choose a fourth I would throw in Mikhail Gorbachev.
As per my opinion the three greatest leaders of all time are:
1. Sardar Patel (Known as Iron Man of India)
2. Chandra Sekhar Azad
3. Indra Gandhi

What does Nelson Mandela mean or represent in your life?He might have left our midst physically but his memory lives on in our lives. To more, he is a symbol of compassion, forgiveness, and perseverance. Few could have come out of what he had to go through as strongly as he did. What does he...

Who would you want leading your armies if you had a choice of anyone in history? Many of the great minds in military history achieved greatness in such different ways. If you needed a commander to lead your army and he could come from any era, who would it be and why?
