At least right at the moment, my theme song is Pink Floyd's "What Do You Want From Me" from the Division Bell album

As you look around this room tonight
Settle in your seat and dim the lights
Do you want my blood, do you want my tears
    What do you want
What do you want from me
Should I sing until I can't sing any more
Play these strings until my fingers are raw
    You're so hard to please
What do you want from me

Do you think that I know something you don't know
What do you want from me
If I don't promise you the answers would you go
What do you want from me
Should I stand out in the rain
Do you want me to make a daisy chain for you
I'm not the one you need
What do you want from me

You can have anything you want
You can drift, you can dream, even walk on water
    Anything you want

You can own everything you see
Sell your soul for complete control
Is that really what you need

You can lose yourself this night
See inside there is nothing to hide
    Turn and face the light

What do you want from me

Definately Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars:

    We'll do it all
    Everything
    On our own

    We don't need
    Anything
    Or anyone

    If I lay here
    If I just lay here
    Would you lie with me
    And just forget the world?

It would have to be  "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John

    Also under certain circumstances:

The Weakness In Me -- Melissa Etheridge

I Go To Extremes -- Billy Joel

Old Time Rock and Roll  -- Bob Seger

Hit Me With Your Best Shot -- Pat Benatar

    Josh Groban's

    "YOU'RE STILL YOU"

    Through the darkness
    I can see your light
    And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine
    Your face I've memorized
    I idolize just you

    I look up to
    Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
I've loved you for so long
And after all is said and done
    You're still you
    After all
    You're still you

And in this cruel and lonely world
    I found one love
    You're still you
    After all
    You're still you

Quite a number, but for now I'll pick the song below. It asks a question to which I have thus far been getting a negative answer, from all but my Creator......

    Will You Be There?
    - Michael Jackson.

There're also quite a number of words I can pick out of songs that describes - even if just a tiny, little, itty bit - the rage and the anguish I have been for years. The following is a most typical example.....

I will never understand the society......
first they try to murder me,
then they lie to me -
    product of a dying breed.
    - Tupac Amaru Shakur.

I feel I can describe just periods of my life with certain songs - I can't possibly choose one for the whole lifespan. Now, I think, it's Buying New Soul by Porcupine Tree. I've even downloaded it to my phone as mp3 (it was https://2conv.com/en51/ if you'd like to do the same) as I usually want to listen to it exactly when my phone is out of service. Wonderful lyrics and I'll definitely be keeping it for a couple of years.
