If you could have any book you wanted made into a movie and choose the director, what would it be? You can choose actors and things as well...

Mine is Stephen King's The Dark Tower series (yes, all seven of them) directed by Peter Jackson.

What do YOU want to see on film?

The Myriad: Tour of the Merrimack #1 by R. M. Meluch

Don't really care about the actors just loved the books and would love to see it on the big screen.

      Hm, good question.
Maybe Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.
Don't know who would direct it.

In keeping withe the present times and general atmosphere, "The man" by Irving Wallace will be an apt story to be filmed. Though President Dilman is a world apart from Obama in almost everything, the one common factor is their color. It would be nice to have a movie with Morgan Freeman as Dilman!

Nice choice! Morgan Freeman is awesome in anything. Who would direct?

'The Wheel of Time' by Robert Jordan.

Spielberg and G. Lucas could work miracles on this one.(the entire series mind you 12+ books now)...smile

they have some crappy version out of it (the legend of the seeker)....sad

Don't you hate it when what should have been an incredible movie doesn't even come close to the epic vision in the book and in your head?

I'm trying to figure out who I would like to see play the roles in the Dark Tower.

I think Brad Pitt for Eddie; Rae Dawn Chong for Susannah. I'd have to find some awesome child star for Jake.

Roland, I'm stumped on. He'd have to be the most amazing actor ever.

    Catcher in the Rye

But I'm sure the movie would've killed the book for me.

I'd imagine a young Leonardo Dicaprio. (Or maybe Emile Hirsch?) It would be another Leo/Spielberg pairing.

How timely, Colebabie, and an excellent choice. I'd love to see the film that could capture the feeling of that story. Nice!

I think the Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan would make a great mini-series - animation perhaps.
