If you could have any book you wanted made into a movie and choose the director, what would it be? You can choose actors and things as well...
Mine is Stephen King's The Dark Tower series (yes, all seven of them) directed by Peter Jackson.
What do YOU want to see on film?
The Myriad: Tour of the Merrimack #1 by R. M. Meluch
Don't really care about the actors just loved the books and would love to see it on the big screen.
I'm not familiar with those. What are they about?
Hm, good question.
Maybe Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.
Don't know who would direct it.
Ooh, goodness; I'm not sure either. But an epic choice! Nice job.
In keeping withe the present times and general atmosphere, "The man" by Irving Wallace will be an apt story to be filmed. Though President Dilman is a world apart from Obama in almost everything, the one common factor is their color. It would be nice to have a movie with Morgan Freeman as Dilman!
Nice choice! Morgan Freeman is awesome in anything. Who would direct?
Off the cuff: Clint Eastwood
Considered: Clint Eastwood
'The Wheel of Time' by Robert Jordan.
Spielberg and G. Lucas could work miracles on this one.(the entire series mind you 12+ books now)...
they have some crappy version out of it (the legend of the seeker)....
Don't you hate it when what should have been an incredible movie doesn't even come close to the epic vision in the book and in your head?
I'm trying to figure out who I would like to see play the roles in the Dark Tower.
I think Brad Pitt for Eddie; Rae Dawn Chong for Susannah. I'd have to find some awesome child star for Jake.
Roland, I'm stumped on. He'd have to be the most amazing actor ever.
Catcher in the Rye
But I'm sure the movie would've killed the book for me.
I'd imagine a young Leonardo Dicaprio. (Or maybe Emile Hirsch?) It would be another Leo/Spielberg pairing.
How timely, Colebabie, and an excellent choice. I'd love to see the film that could capture the feeling of that story. Nice!
*moment of respect for the late Mr. Salinger*
Nobody else has a dream movie? C'mon...Share your ideas. Maybe Hollywood will get some good ideas...
they as sure as hell needs them
okay let me think...I think 'The Killing Game' or anything by Iris Johnsen One of my fave female authors. Oh and maybe a few from Deen Kootz and John Saul.
not sure about director though...
Yes, indeed, they do...that's why we can't let this thread die! LOL Make the film makers hear us!
Nice choices by the way.
I think the Wheel of Time books by Robert Jordan would make a great mini-series - animation perhaps.
oh, Mikel already mentioned that! oops!
Hey that's all right..If enough people make enough noise about it, maybe someone will actually DO it!

Which Celebrity Would You Choose? If it was possible to choose a celebrity to be a world leader, who would you choose? I think I'd go for someone really zany like David Bowie or Lady Ga Ga!

How does one blame the media, gangsta rap, horror movies, the Easter bunny, God, the devil, Hunts Ketchup, seemingly everyone, but the killer? Like it or not gangsta rap, the media, horror movies, Hell the Joker, for that matter, did not communally participaate in this heinous act, it was James...

I've just watched the most amazing movie, starring Morgan Freeman, one of my favorite actors. It's called, "The Magic of Belle Isle". Freeman is a Western author who has succumbed to drink and hasn't written in a while. A little girl next door wants to write and seeks his guidance. This...

Once I got dumped for being too nice at the time I thought it was a weird thing to say. However as I'm getting older (and more sceptical) I'm thinking maybe you can be too nice. Maybe it's seen as a bit creepy. Was just wondering if anyone else had any thoughts on this.

Which current movie director is the next Steven Spielberg?Few have blazed a trail of success like the great Steven Spielberg. Looking at the current landscape, does any young director have the chop to reach similar heights?
