    Hello Pamela!
An important article about parenting the teens. I remember my days. Teenage is a very sensitive age, and much understanding is required on the part of the parents and teachers in nurturing their growing up children.
I enjoyed reading about the various short forms, which the Teens use nowadays.
Thank you for sharing another wonderful article.

Thanks, Pamela for sharing this wonderful. Teenage is a juncture when children are neither called adults nor they can be treated as a child. So special care is required by parents to ensure that they grow into good human beings. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks, Chitrangada for sharing.

Chitrangada, Thank you for sharing your teenage feelings and for all your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the article. I think parenting is hard these days thanks to so much social media. I appreciate you posting it here on the Feed.

Ravi, I agree that special care is necessary when raising a teenager. Parenting is a tough job for sure. Thank you for your comments, Ravi.

Rosina, I hope the article would help your sister. Parents need support too. I appreciate your comments, as always.

Linda, Those new words are just a few as I believe there are many more new ones on the way. Thank you for your comments.

    Pamela...
Enjoy your time with your granddaughter.

    They grow up so quickly.

Your article shows some important points like eating dinner together as a family.
Too many families do not do this...especially when everyone is off to practices after school.

Listening without jumping in wuth criticism is sometimes a bit difficult, but you want them to feel like they can tell you anything.
    Be their friend.

Oh my...the short list for text is amazing.  I often have to look those abbreviations up...all new lingo to me.

    Great write

Thank you for your thoughtful comments, Brenda. I agree that listening is so very important without criticism. As soon a you criticize you will lose them in that conversation.

      Totally...
      I've done that before.

      I try to remember...
I was the same way when I was young.

Always listening to music my parents didn't like, etc.

You have written helpful guidelines, Pamela. Criticism does not work or teach teens good behavior.  Listen, listen, listen. Thank you.
