i'll be there too, just tell me when and where and i'll be there with bells on and a few bottles of wine at my side. big_smile
If it's a real good steak, don't need nothing but a little bit of salt and pepper ( cooked med to med rare).  but usually, i marinate my steaks for a couple of hours before puttin em on the grill.    yummy

I like a good steak with my Heinz ketchup.  Which drove my superb chef of a wife absolutely bonkers until she read about something-or-other in tomatoes being good for my prostate.  She still can't watch me eat a great ribeye, though.

Steaks if cooked properly can be eaten with a simple fork and/or a butter knife.

No sharp knife is required. big_smile

And, yes- seasoning and other techniques are required to make the steak a juicy, mouth-watering and enjoyable meal.

I do like Prime Rib, personally. But, common london broil steaks work just as well at home.

I don't cook Prime Rib at home. To expensive for my taste. But, if I eat out and I want steak, I'll order it.

Nice... been ages since I've had a London Broil..

I actually don't eat too much meat, yet I do enjoy Prime Rib as well. Though My fave is a Ribeye

or  Filet with a nice dollop of sauce.

Sounds good. It reminds me of a time where I had to cook two london broil steaks for a family dinner.

When I served them....I told people there was no need for a sharp knife, because the blade of butter knife would be all that was required. If they liked they could just use their forks.

But, I gave them the choice. It was the second best meal I ever cooked. The first was a Turkey that held moisture for 3 days, while people picked at it the whole time. lol

well, i think a dry rub works great because it creates a nice sear on the steak. i use bobby flay's recipe. can i post it here, or would that be copyright infringement?

basically it's got ancho chile powder in it, kosher salt, cracked black pepper, and a little paprika. i leave out the dry mustard though, and the cumin, and use garlic powder instead. you GOTS to have garlic in there somewhere smile
