The best steak I ever had was in Las Vegas. It was lightly seasoned with I don't know what but was absolutely superb! It was a New York strip steak mind you but was awesome
nice to see you too, thanks for your kind words on my hubs, this is my regular meeting place for friends, i suppose you know, keep being stood up, but glad you came along, last time it was when you stayed up on night wasn't it. YOU will have to set us another task eh?~
I will and very soon...I'll of course keep you posted, as I want to make another hub out of it before I do I think you'll really like it! (It's a surprise)
Ditto How's the weather where you are today? Although it's gray and gloomy here, the leaves are finally turning. My neighbors are baking apple pie and I'm getting hungry!
i am truly settling in to that place now, no what i am expected to do and just get on with it...... back in at 8 in the morning, so just been making chilli for tomorrow night, i am having kids come round for craft classes tomorrow afternoon too, so it is all go once more..... how about you
Ah, there wasn't any hidden messages there, or double meanings. Un believable! I was making a reference to a Sam Elliott quote in a commercial and someone has to 'read between the lines'!
Sounds yummy!! I was trying to think of a fave red, and really can;t say I have one.. I do like merlot, Sirah, and Petite- Sarah's the best. Cabs are a bit too robust for me!
Hope you get your steak and wine... my mouth is so watering now!
Did poetlorraine have to go to work today? Sunday? Or did she start a new job last week? I know I missed something there. Lotsa times I do, just because I'm a clueless morsel of a woman and have been struggling with the 30 in 30 thing.
Mine, too. Screw work or whatever, poetlorraine, stay with us for supper!
PS, I wish the poets could just stay home and think up the beautiful poems they write. I'm always awed, esp. by I*N*V*I*C*T*U*S, and poetlorraine, too!
it is 10.15 here i worked 2 to 8.... but i have to get up early to back in work for 8 and i am tired. Morning shift is go go go, don't stop til 11.30 quarter of an hour break then mad again til you walk out of door at 2.
Sure can, poet. And I'll name the poem after I've read the whole thing...sometimes that feeling of a whole complete aura of certain words put together is what makes the poem fly.
something to think about now, and sleep on....... i will have to get my dictionary out is that how you spell dictionary, i have one in front of me but it is a word finder maybe it is ery
This format reminds me of the old chatrooms back in the late 90s...where you had to constantly follow someone elses thread just to keep in contact with someone.
organs in tact have i missed something...... i am laughing but it don't sound funny..... i mean when my sister rings, i never think of asking her if her organs are in tact.....
yes it is a great idea, go and get yourself another cup of tea and a biscuit..... this is cosy, glad i found this thread on your profile page ha ha.......
A bit nippy, but bearable. It's a perfect autumn day and typical for November 2. The sun is finally out--I wonder why it is that whenever you ask this question, Poet, the sun comes out from behind the clouds for the first time in a long time?
i have chocolate, ice cream steak wine, everything but the seasoning and the music, and i have invited the girls from the pary hub over..... any ice cream for them
lots of people feel they have to eat turkey at thanksgiving or Christmas, but do not really like it . We have had a steak and seasoning thread that has gone on way too long, so thought i would start another one, it is a meeting place for friends
Anyone know of any good recipe or meal ideas for bringing back one's appetite?Strangely since Thanksgiving I have noticed a loss in appetite, especially for meat which I am usually very fond. My wife has lost her appetite, also for meats, and has noticed this since the beginning of her pregnancy...
Does anyone have allergies to alcohol, such as wine or mixed drinks? What can you do for them?Recently I noticed that I was having problems breathing when I had a glass of wine or a mixed drink. My doctor said I had an allergic reaction to alcohol. I already have seasonal...
Can anyone recommend a good red or white wine for a tasting?I am throwing a wine tasting for some of my girl friends for fun, and more so to familiarize myself with red wines. I haven't really found any red wine I am too crazy about. Thanks in advance!
