What flavor IS yellow cake, anyway?  (I mean aside from the obvious answer, which is "Yellow, of course.")

It can be lemon, but usally its just white cake, but the yolks of the egg have been left in. Makes it a littel heavier and more moist. At least in my expierence it is.

White cake with Chocolate Ganach filling, and whipped cream. My kdis make me make it every birthday. Its sooo yummy, not to sweet, not to bland.

I don't like chocolate cake ... is that weird? I like the filling and the topping, but the cake itself I'm not so keen on. I don't like chocolate ice cream either!

I love Victoria Sponges! Does that make me very British? I think it's yellow rather than white cake, but I've never made it so I don't know. I make a nice lemon drizzle cake!

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! Always chocolate! I always get so annoyed with my husband when I ask him to pick up a cake for guests and he gets a fruit pie. That's OK,  but ... chocolate!

The preferred cake flavor in our house is confetti.  In fact, some people just call the confetti cake "birthday cake", even if it's made for some other occasion.
