    I have been creating back links to my hubs. I've been with Hubpages two weeks and have written 8 hubs. When I do a Google "site:hubpages......." search it is only showing one of my hubs. Any opinions on how long it usually takes Google to index a hub, or suggestions on back links that seem to get the hubs indexed sooner? Thanks.

    There's no specific average, but anecdotal evidence supports the theory that the longer you are with the site, and the higher the quality of the content you create, the faster your Hubs are indexed.

    Experienced Hub authors who have been with the site for a few years have reported being indexed within a few hours.

    I usually get indexed in either minutes or hours, I guess having hubs linked to each other helps.

    Try searching for the url of your hub, if it appeas with 'cached' written below the URl in Google search then it is indexed.

      That's interesting to know.  I, too, have wondered how long google takes.  I published a hub yesterday and it shows "cached" on the search today.  Thanks for the info.

    there is certainly no average-

    Ive seen hubs indexed in minutes - I expect to be indexed with 24 hours.

    Sort of in agreement with Relache - but would say quality and time on site are only symptoms of teh real cause which has more to do with how many links to your new hub are created and how frequently those linked pages are crawled themselves

    If you have been on the site along time your likely to have more hubs and locations linking into you and your hubs - if your creating quality content, your even more likely to have more inbound links to your hubs

    But between related links, hot, best . latest group and category pages and all the other automated internal interlinking - your new hubs should be crawled quick enough

    Thanks guys, I have put links between some of my hubs within hubpages, will add more, since I only have 8 in total anyways.

    My personal Experience is that my hubs are indexed very quickly within a few minutes to an hour or two... having actually gained search engine traffic to my hubs in a few hours of publishing..

    HOWEVER;

    I have also noticed that my hubs disappear after a day or so before being "permanently" indexed after a week or two...
