Hubs that earn me the most money

   I finally got around to setting up URL channels for my top 20 hubs in terms of traffic, to learn which ones are earning me the most money a couple of weeks ago. The results are pretty surprising.
   
   I'm earning about $110-120 per month now on AdSense alone (Amazon & eBay are much, much smaller), so a little over a dollar per hub per month. Naturally, some hubs get virtually no traffic or money, while a handful are the clear breadwinners.
   
   13 Hubs generated about half of my revenue for the past few weeks. Here are the top earners:
   
   1) Aronia berry - This goes in the "medium traffic and high ($30+) eCPM" category. It has the highest eCPM of any of my Hubs. Since it's health/diet-related, that's not surprising. This is my highest-earning hub by far...about triple the earnings of #2.
   
   2) DNA genealogy test comparison - A "low-traffic but high eCPM" hub. Also health-related, which explains the high eCPM.
   
   3) Painkillers for a herniated disc - Almost the same traffic and eCPM levels as #2. Also health-related.
   
   4) How to call London from the US - A surprise! This hub came from a Request, and took me about 5 minutes to create. It's a "high-traffic but low eCPM" hub; the eCPM is about a tenth of the aronia one, but traffic in terms of page views is more than double.
   
   5) Gaydar secrets - Very similar to #4: another high-traffic but low-eCPM example.
   
   You might be surprised to see that my two highest-traffic Hubs are not in this list: my make-your-own-yogurt and free-tattoo-idea hubs. The reason? The eCPM for both is abysmally low.

      I think your onto something here that you should most definitely capitalise on. You could most certainly own all the first three pages of Google for that term. The competition is very low. Also, the adsense ads served are not specifically aronia berry but similar, such as cancer treatment and others.
      
      We all know cancer treatment is a very high paying keyword.
      
      I would think with a little thought, the fact you have your hub at page 1, that you could expand on this idea.
      
      Niche sites are exactly what you have, a page with a keyword that is easy to be well ranked for.

   Wow, very interesting stats on all of your Hubs - has anyone else tried to set up channels like this to see which of your Hubs are really pulling the in the money?

      Over the Thanksgiving period, my pumpkin cheesecake recipe hub ended up making the most Adsense money due to its massive traffic in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. What's funny though is all of the ads are completely irrelevant... they are all diet ads! Or maybe they are relevant... after eating all that cheesecake I'm going to need to go on a diet LOL

      I am good! I am in Florida right now, doing my annual migration for the winter. Internet access at the resorts I'm staying at will be intermittent until January. Hopefully I can get some new hubs done then. Until then, I'll be by the pool *g*

            Meanwhile I wanted to share my current "best" hubs as far as earnings -
            
            I know a lot of people do not have a great deal of success with Amazon, but my 3 biggest earners this month are all from Amazon earnings. Between them so far over $500 -
            
            
            
            They are usually good for about $250 a month, but I guess everyone was looking for inexpensive gifts this year There are a few bits and pieces from other hubs, but this is my far and away the bulk of it. These are the three hubs -

    Mark or other experienced hubbers:
    
    I went through some of my hubs yesterday and 'optimized' them like I've seen others do--added amazon book listings (many, since a lot of mine are kind of bookish or art geared anyway) and products available, etc., plus added promotional links saying, "if you liked this article, see:"  within my own hubs.
    
    Last night, my author rating was 95, now it is 90!  Seems like a very big drop.  Is it maybe because now I'm being overly promotional or something? 
    
    Any advice--and also any advice on making Amazon produce?  That seems like a natural for me--but so far--only 4% referral and no buys.

       I don't think you can put everything down to your own actions. As far as I can tell the personal hubber score is the hubpages equivalent of grading on a curve. This there is usually one 100, a couple of 99s, a few 98s, more 97s  and so on. So you could drop in score if a bunch of people who write about Christmas recipes get a lot of traffic about now get extra traffic and their score goes up.
       
       I worked out what it took to get to 100, and have not worried about it since. I do not think it makes any difference unless you drop below a certain level that means all your outgoing links are tagged nofollow.
       
       I just left links to several hubs I wrote that do well with Amazon.Take a look at the hubs I mentioned and feel free to copy the way they work. I won't be offended
