I just logged in to check my stats and saw that yesterday I sold 14 items!  I believe that's the most I've ever sold in one day.  I've gotten sort of used to daily sales, but usually it's only a couple of items, so this is really exciting for me - an 18% conversion!!

A few the of the items fall under electronics, so I'll only get 4%, but the overall quantity bumped me well into the 6.5% tier for everything else ... might just be my best month yet!

That's wonderful news. I am a newbie, been a member for several months but just started writing Hubs about 3 weeks ago. I made one sale in the first week on Amazon. it was a mere $3. I can't remember the last time I got that excited over $3. Congrats on your success!

BTW, any tips you would like to pass on to a newbie?

Congrats on making a sale so quickly - sounds like you're catching on already!  I'm not much of a "techer" as I feel I am constantly learning still myself.  I usually go with my gut and whatever happens to inspire me, then I do a little keyword research and use that to help guide my writing.  Everything I learned, I learned from other hubbers here - Ryankett, Sunforged, Nelle Hoxie, Darkside, Relach, Lissie - just to name a few.  Read a lot of how to hubs and take it all in.  Best of luck to you!

Fantastic News. I know the Christmas season is just going to amaze you. Here's to the 7% tier!

Thanks, Nelle!  So far I'm now at 42 items sold for the month -I'm not sure if it's my best months so far or not because I did well last november/december but I don't remember the numbers.  Regardless, I'm still way off the minimum for 7%, but a girl can dream, can't she?

I love Christmas season- anytime between November and December. Those January and February deposits from the holidays are lovely.

      Keep working on your hubs!

    Many congrats!

I had 11 items sold on Friday, which I was delighted with. Especially as 9 of those items were products that I had directly promoted.

I think the most I have sold is 15 in one day, but that was all to the same person and was mostly MP3 downloads.

Glad that you are doing well for yourself.

That's awesome, Ryan!  I wish I could say the same - not one single item of the 14 were products that I had promoted.

At least I still get the commission anyway - that's what counts, right?!

Thanks for the comment, Ryan. big_smile

thanks for putting your faith in me, but there are others who you can learn a lot more from, like the other commenters here - they are my heroes!  A lot of my luck has been hard work and learning a lot from some great hubbers, and a lot of it has just been luck.

I hope one day to be making enough to be considered a salary of sorts - for now it's nice pocket change to buy a little extra something for my girls or to cover grocery budget overages!!

That's great Jen!  Is that for this month alone?  Way to go!  I, too, can't wait until the holiday season gets rolling.  I did pretty well last year considering I joined in July and had a fraction of the hubs then that I have now ... I'm crossing my fingers!

Did you have a nice birthday?

I got a big jump in Amazon too.  It's amazing.  If this continues for the rest of the year.  I will be a very happy hubber.

Wish I could say the same.  I've been sitting on 6 purchases for about a week now - need just one more.  A shame as I ordered 2 items for myself for over $100 yesterday!

I'd be rolling in it if we received commission off of our own purchases, as much as i buy at Amazon! big_smile

Thanks, Girly-girl!  Of course, the day after the 14 sales - nothing.  4 sales the day after that and one yesterday ... comletely unpredictable!  This has definitely been my best month yet though - it has even way surpassed last year's holiday season - yay!  Hope it lasts!

When your sales become regular you will often notice patterns, days of the week, month and year all have significance. October and November are usually good build up months for me though, with December being a gold mine!

I had only one Christmas season to judge.  But it was really a shock to earn money.  I even got to the 6% threshold in Oct Nov and Dec and I only started in HubPages in late August.

I haven't really taken the time to see if there's been any trends to date with my Amazon - I'll get around to it someday.  I just hope this streak keeps going and gets even better around the holiday shopping months!
