Voters' Regret? GOP already sinking in polls

   Ok, we got the message. The GOP's House win was a rejection of the Democrats, not a "Republican  Mandate." But apparently America is already cooling on the incoming Republicans.
   File under "Americans are suckers" subfolder "careful what you wish for it might come true and then you're stuck for 2 more years..."
   
   Forty-eight percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of the Democrats in the aftermath of the election compared to 46 percent who see them favorably, with 6 percent expressing no opinion. That's about the same kind of split opinion that CNN's late October poll found.
   
   The figures for the Republicans since the election are somewhat more negative. Forty-eight percent see them unfavorably while 43 percent regard them favorably, with 9 percent taking neither side. In late October, 44 percent saw the GOP favorably and 43 percent did not.

   Democrats Nov.   Favorable 46% Unfavorable 48%
   Republicans Oct. Favorable 44% Unfavorable 43%
   Republicans Nov. Favorable 43% Unfavorable 48%
   
   Holland said, "Unlike 1994, the last time the Republicans bumped the Democrats from power on Capitol Hill, the GOP takes over without the American public solidly behind it."

   Polls? That's like asking my neighborhood cat a question and trying to get an answer in English.
   
   Polls in America are for only manipulation purposes. Most are completely useless.

      Those "useless" polls predicted a Republican take-over of the House, and by a substantial margin. Those polls were right on. If my memory serves me correctly, they usually are right on. As for manipulation, the polls were predicting a Republican take over of the House all the way back in June. Since the majority of voters are DEMS that knowledge should have brought them out in full force to vote for their DEMS.

   We Yanks are notoriously poor at delay of gratification.
   Also extremely manipulable by the media (which is anything but liberal, contrary to what you may here from others on here!).

   I think it is way too early for voters to be having regrets already. 
   
   Sometimes I wonder about the mindset of our voting class.  The GOP hasn't even had a chance to do anything yet.  How can people already be having regret?  Isn't this what they wanted?
   
   I mean I didn't want Roy Blunt.  I think he is a crook.  But he is what everybody else wanted.  My party didn't win, but that doesn't matter, he is what is in office now.  I feel I owe it to him to give him a chance.  I shouldn't give him any less.  He did go out there and win the majority vote.  That means something, or shall I say- it should mean something.
   
   I just want the parties to stop fighting and get along, to get some much needed stuff done.  Surely now that the GOP are in power in the house, this can happen.  So why voters are having regrets, is beyond my comprehension.  We need to give them all a fighting chance.

      But these are new Congressmen.  You do realize that?  They are not the same exact people being voted in.
      
      I mean, my party's forerunner lost the election. I'm not too fond that the GOP is in power.  But am I bracing for it?  No.  Apparently the Democratic response isn't what the country needed.  SO......, lets give the other side a turn.  Might as well.  Its not like we have a choice.  The election is over for now. 
      
      We can either stay in deadlock, or we can make things happen.  I'm personally ready to heal our nation, and move forward.  Living in the past, ie: "2000-2008", isn't healthy living.

    It's easier to be the party out of power. The new Congress has not even come in yet, but their responsibility for the current situation has already increased. It's irrational, but that's politics.

    Well, given the way they treated Obama and the Dems...they can expect  lot of crap coming their way....and deservedly so.
    
    They have polarized this country beyond anything I've ever seen.
    It will take a long way to repair the damage they have done.
    
    I, for one will not believe anything they say.
    
    And if their objective is to go after Obama ala Bill Clinton........after what Bushco got away with, after we were supposed to "move forward", not back.....
    
    Then you will see true revolution. That will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. IMO
