Can we really be the only ones?
200,000 miles into their journey to the moon, Apollo astronaut Buzz Aldrin relayed a cryptic message to the mission control centre. Do you have any idea where the S-IVB is with respect to us? This was a section of the rocket jettisoned away two days previously. The basis of his message was that they were being accompanied by an illuminated L shaped object. In a recent documentary about the mission Aldrin stated in an interview:
"There was something out there, close enough to be observed, and what could it be? Now, obviously the three of us weren't going to blurt out, 'Hey, Houston, we've got something moving alongside of us and we don't know what it is, you know?'"
Another Astronaut Major Gordon Cooper was open about seeing unknowns on numerous occasions. In a taped interview he said:
"For many years I have lived with a secret, in a secrecy imposed on all specialists in astronautics. I can now reveal that every day, in the USA, our radar instruments capture objects of form and composition unknown to us. And there are thousands of witness reports and a quantity of documents to prove this, but nobody wants to make them public."
On the simple statistical basis by which we make most decisions in our lives, I find it curious that so many people opt to close their minds to the probability that amongst the millions of stars, planets and solar systems no other life forms exist. I believe this is due to the symbolic vagueness of our fundamentally religious grounding, whether one is a believer or not, and the effect of the film industries fictionalisation of UFOs and aliens that ensure that such thoughts are associated to those of less sound mind.
You can find the roots of any major established religion based within ancient Egyptian teachings or before. If you were to investigate the actual meanings in for example Judaism or Christianity you might recognise that they are symbolisms of the star systems worshiped during Egyptian times where many interesting facts point to a civilization with influences beyond this planet.
Many accounts of extraterrestrial visitation and settlement exist in our ancient history and none more compelling than that of the Dogon people who have at the centre of their ancient religious teachings, knowledge about a small red star in the Sirius system which they learned via visitors from another star system. It is invisible to the eye and so difficult to observe -- even through a telescope -- that stargazers only identified and photographed it as recently as 1970.
For those of open mind, you may wish to watch the following formal press conference and then tell me if you really still believe that we are alone?

Perhaps, if you read carefully, what I write ... you will notice the Truth, that "things" exist ... in Matter, Bonding with the Ideal, Unto Existent Form.
This takes place in the Human Awareness of Being, called our Mind.
The best science can define the phenomenon is by calling it Hallucination ...
But in the altered State, the Mind can create, things.
Well it seems that our minds are controlled often by social norm, religious indoctrination and scientific opinion. Only when we rid ourselves of these limitations and boundaries can we acknowledge a greater reality. Hallucination is a vague word we have created to describe perceptions beyond our scientific explanation. What is an unaltered state? You may be interested in my other philosophical views.
There are many life Forms in the Physical universe ... but we humans, are one of a kind ... we are the Epitome of Creation.
There are no Superiors, to the Human kind, life forms in the Physical Universe ...
.
"Life forms! You tiny little life forms! You precious little life forms! Where are you?"
Life worms! You tiny little life worms! You precious life worms! Do you deserve to be duplicated somewhere else?
Just based on probability alone, the galaxy and others like it, teem with life. Based on our myths, legends, ancient texts, not just from our own culture, but cultures around the world, we have been under constant surveillance, and "interference" in our affairs is the norm, not the exception. If the events described in the bible were looked at in the light of concepts like a close encounter of the third kind, then, all of those events would be understood as an "off-Earth intelligence" being somehow responsible for Man even being here. Genes, DNA, cloning, interplanetary colonization, and the terra-forming of other worlds is ingrained in us, our understanding of these things has increased exponentially within the last two hundred years, and we have been guided to that path by something from "out there". The quicker we understand this, the sooner we will join the "others", for if we are simply "cattle", then all of the interference we have been subjected to would be pretty pointless. This is a colony, and those who live among the stars share DNA with us. They are our ancestors AND our descendants. Can you figure out how that might be true?
This may come across as a smart-ass comment, but it reflects my first thoughts: We are clearly surrounded by millions of other life-forms inhabiting the Earth.
I realize that this question was intended to ask about extra-terrestrial life, but sweeping the amazing creatures all around us under a metaphorical rug doesn't seem right to me--intentionally or otherwise! The biosphere is amazing. . .
"Out there?"
I just don't know. Arguments from "probability" fail for me because I think there are too few bounds yet on what is or is not possible with respect to life and to cosmology.
That said, I'd find an advanced culture Out There encouraging, as at this point I think we are doing very poorly indeed in managing our own environmental and political affairs. It'd be nice to know that it's possible to get past the "fouling your own nest" stage of civilization without going extinct.
Our minds can play tricks on us, people can make stuff up and videos can be faked!!!! That aside we cant be alone. I have a weird though that freaks me to the core, "there will always be something here." Ive had this pop into my head every now and then since I was 5, crazy I know but oh well!!! Had to get that out, sorry about poor sentence structure and blabbing lol.
I have no doubt there is life out there. No necessarily walking talking aliens, but life for sure.
Whether every star combined is a part of something else much bigger. Or every little atom is living in some way.
It is very possible that there are lifeforms on planets we never thought possible. Such as Jupiter or Saturn, there can very well be life forms we can't even begin to imagine in there.
Look at the most inhospitable places on earth, you will find something living. This basically shows that life can be in many places that we never thought possible. But are the conditions good enough for evolution to take hold quickly and get to our intelligence?
Yes, we are one of millions of life forms on this planet.
Amongst the universe, there are potentially several sextillion life-bearing planets (that's a billion times a trillion).
Thanks for the wonderful stories from the astronauts. My father worked for a company during the 1960's which had a NASA contract for data and publishing. Sometimes I'd see the press releases on upcoming flights before the press got them. Cool stuff.
I remember my Dad talking about similarly astounding findings: like craters on the Moon in which scientists spotted structures which appeared over several days then gradually disappeared over a similar period.
I don't have to ask myself that question because it is obvious to me that the universe is teeming with life just like this world is in all its range of habitats!

Do you think there are life forms like us in the vast outer space?

Do You Believe In Aliens? Do You Think We Are Alone?Do you believe in Aliens from outer space. Do you think they will some day show up here on earth. You know I really thought that by this point in my life ( age 62 ) that aliens from outer space would have already showed up here on earth. It does...

Do you believe life exists in the universe (other than on Earth)?

Do you think aliens are real? Why?

Do other life forms have an equal share of Earth? We predominately only think of human welfare as if we are the sole owner the Earth. Human rights are talked about all the time but few care for other life forms. It seems our concern is heavily tilted on humans. Why?
