   Obama must be doing something right.  He has proved himself as a capable, sound, strong, smart leader.  For the first time I feel free and comfortable.  The hardships are being put behind us, and Obama's recovery actions have saved this nation.
   
   All I have to say is I told you so!  What do you have to say about Obama, his politics, actions and his running of America?

      I believe that any president we elected into office was going to have to be elected for two terms. The first term is to try and clean up after the last president and the second is to actually do what he had intended to do when elected.

      More than to say about Obama, I have to congratulate American people for their correct choice, impartial voting, and overall enhancing the prestige of America. I think Mr.Obama will never let Americans' expectations down.

      Capable and sound? Spending the country into oblivion, instigating class warfare, trampling the constitution, violating federals by interfering in bankruptcy proceedings.
      
      Had Bush done any of these things the media would be howling.
      
      Evidently an application of the word "capable" that I'm not familiar with.

      I also think he is great.  Just what the world needs.  Must say though I am nervous that he has got behind the US bid for the World Cup - we have Gordon Brown and the US have Obama.  Fortunately the bid isn't decided just on politician's backing, and so I hope that means England has a good chance.

   Don't worry Bristol Boy--you probably don't have anything to worry about there. Still not a huge soccer (sorry, football) backing here. It's gaining in poularity, but slowly. I don't know if it would have enough public backing to get the World Cup.

         With all the rules they are putting in American football, it is  making the sport a sport for whiners. I might adopt to calling Soccer "Football" and Football "Fluffball". And to stay with the topic I give Obama the benefit of the doubt. It's takes time to fix 8 years of someone else's ways. I don't think he'll get it done completely, but he can go in the right direction. Although I will say I think it's dumb that laughed about the idea that legalizing cannabis would be good for the economy. But not everyone is perfect.

   I was heartened to see intelligent thought processes prevail for once. I had begun to think my entire country had been administered some kind of idiot-serum!
   
   I did a joyous dance once the results of the election were in and have tried to refrain from 'neiner neinering' too much.

      I couldn't agree with you more.  Yeah- Lita I'm done with papers for a bit.  Dropped my computer coming out of the library though.  Lost EVERYTHING!  Hadn't backed up in awhile.  Just got a new hard drive.  I'm devastated.

   Neither of the last two candidates were good choices as president. Obama opted for a terrible VP who keeps slipping up and saying things he shouldn't; PR people are having to work extra hard to cover up the slip-ups. Obama keeps making silly choices, and Congress is fighting him a lot from what I hear.
   
   We needed a change, that's for sure, but this is not the best choice. He's trying too much at once, and he's trying way too hard.

    Yeah, that's why the economy was doing so poorly when Clinton was in office. What research? I was alive in America during both Bush and Clinton, and I personally seen everything was a lot better during Clinton. Good god, you people can change whatever media you want, but you can't erase people's memories as to which president the country was in better shape under.

       Bob, the state of the economy is in no way measured by the experience of one person. Even if that person is you. When you have a bad day, do you assume the country is therefore in the toilet?
       
       Clinton benefited from two events over which he had no control. 1. The Y2K scare that stimulated huge growth in the computer industry and dramatically increased revenue to the federal government.
       
       2. The Dot Com bubble. Look it up if you like, but ignoring it won't make it less true. Investment in the stock market and internet businesses boosted the economy tremendously but Clinton had nothing whatsoever to do with it. He got credit, which is fine, but let's also take him to task for laying the foundation for the credit problems we see today.
       
       Simple research would show you the germination of the credit problems during the Clinton administration. Some media outlets have covered it. You can find the reports if you expend a little online effort.
       
       Feel free to stick your head in the sand if that makes you feel better.

    The sad reality is that all of obama's sucesses will be attributed to bush's polices. during the clinton years i heard these republicans say that the prosperity was because of the first bush's polices the republicans need to have some serious changes but they wont change they want to keep believeing that even though they have failed more then succeded that there polices are still sound. For all the things that obama is doing thats ruining this country i haven't heard any suggestions i only hear complaints democrats are not perfect by any means but at least they aren't so stubborn and unable to change in a constantly changeing envrioment

    What i find interesting about obama being elected is the support that was given to him buy large populations of countries all over the world many of those countries have been around alot longer then we have and they know something about good leaders as well as bad at least in theory. I supported obama back when everyone thought he didn't have a chance against hillary but i was really excited about what he will do as president shortly after getting elected he started getting his cabinet together once he was in office he wanted bill to be able jump right into getting what he wanted to get done done weather you agree with his polices or not i think we should all agree that he is running his administration better then bush and he just seems to be more effecient then our last president

    Sorry but I don't watch Fox News. Keep sleeping though, you never want your dream that America was perfect under bush, and that any of the bad stuff America went through wasn't anything to do with him to ever end. And maybe clinton didn't create the money going into the economy to make it good, but he didn't make any boneheaded decisions to drain the money like bush did. And by the way my assumption about the economy being supported by how things were going only for myself isn't how I was coming to that conclusion. I think more people would agree that America was in a better state under clinton's leadership than bush's. It's so funny, obama doesn't have bush's messes cleaned up so it's time to rag on him.But he's cleaning up after bush? That's no excuse. But you can't rag on bush's mistakes, have some compassion. After all he was having to fix clinton's mistakes. The repubican circle (jerk) of life.

    President Obama is following his agenda.  It will take time before we know a successful he is.  I am convinced his heart is in the right place and he is working for the people; we'll see if that is enough.  I believe his nomination for the Supreme Court is excellent.  The confirmation hearings should be interesting.
