One of the most dangerous things people do every day is get in cars and drive, so it’s always helpful to brush up on car safety and safe driving. That’s why we’re making it this week’s Weekly Topic Inspiration theme!

Lots of folks are searching for information on car safety.  Driving tips, safety ratings, and advice on children's’ safety in cars are particularly popular subjects.  Some of the top (but still worth competing for) keywords people are searching for below, so if you’re not sure exactly what to write about, use these for inspiration!

Good keywords / ideas to work with: car seats, safety first, car accident, road safety, booster seat, car check, safety car, baby car seats, booster seats, seat belts, safest cars, car seat reviews, car seat laws, child safety, car seats for toddlers, car seat safely, child car seats, convertible car seat, driving tips, carseat, best car seats, family cars, car security, crash test ratings, car seat ratings, toddler car seat

If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:

    1)    Click here to visit this week's topic.
    2)    Click the green button "answer this question".
    3)    Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it."
    4)    Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens
    5)    Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before.
    6)    After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.

For more information on the Weekly Topic Inspiration program, check out the Learning Center guide.

Simone: Driving a vehicle is dangerous, especially when the operators of the vehicles either don't know or don't care to follow the rules and laws of safe driving. Everyday I see drivers chatting on their cells or texting, putting on their makeup, shaving, shatting or yelling with their passengers and kids etc. These distractions are what helps cause many accidents because they are not paying full attention to the traffic and what they are doing.

I live in NJ, where people drive so insanely, it's common to see somebody do a four lane changeover to cut off a bus or truck! And do you ever pass behind a car with it's back-up lights on? It happens all the time here. How do they know how fast you are going to back up? What if you look in your mirror, see  nobody, then they walk behind your car? I've narrowly missed people, and think I'm pretty careful. Car safety is a really good topic.

Simone Smithposted 12 years agoin reply to this

Are you kidding? That's horrifying!! I wonder if there are more accidents than usual in that state!

Well, it looks like NJ is not even in the top ten!! (http://www.carinsurancecomparison.com/t … r-driving/)

I wonder what Montana or Kentucky is like, then!! YIKES!

Thanks for the link, I can't believe people drive worse in other states than here. It's so hard to be careful, and I try hard to be.

I have no garden to speak of in a condo, although I do have flowers on my balconies.  I think I'd have to focus on the "homes" aspect.
