I was just in the Hopper.

One of the first things I came to was a "hub" that was nothing but a listing of zip codes.

I flagged it, and then went to the profile.. several more hubs, all just zip codes from different States.

Did this person seriously think that had any value?  Money making potential?

    I'm still shaking my head..

I had to go look and flag too!

Found a few more that need flagged to - spun nonsense.. like

"Patience, when it lyapnet something wrong. For example, you ask: "My hair are good?" And we respond, "OK" instead of "Fabulous" - not soared up."

      Unbelievable!

Sad thing is, Google probably likes them. They don't seem to be that fussed about decent content these days!

Wow, someone just collecting zip codes for the fun of it?  I'm almost tempted to look.

I've run across many self-promo hubs in the hopper too - not cool.

Heck - I'm tempted to start scanning the Boston phone book and turn each page into a Hub.  After that, I'll be off to Squidoo to post some New York phone book pages.  roll

This is supposed to be a Tamil song or something (Indian language). I don't understand it but I did ask my classmates about it. It went viral across the country and the world as well for its tune (I hated it and couldn't stand it!!).

Trmsd wrote a hub about it long ago as well.

I tend to just ignore poetry.  I don't  "'get"  it, so don't feel it is my place to flag it.

I do as well...but then I wonder...because some of it should surely be flagged.  Sigh.

I know, but as I just can't appreciate 98%, it wouldn't seem fair..

Well I'm glad we're not getting flagged because we're misunderstood. smile

                    Let me explain more fully.

I have very little appreciation of music or rhythm.  I just don't "feel" it.   My brain just isn't wired that way.

So although I might enjoy some poetry, I realize that I'm in no position to judge what's good or bad.  It would not be fair for me to flag a poetry hub, so I just ignore them completely, even when I'm sure they must be awful.

That "pa pa pa" one above  is a particularly funny one, but - I don't know - seeing too much of this stuff for too long really can wear away at a person after seeing the first zillion attempts at getting money for nothing.

    I have a new favorite:

"Before responding to the arguments of the opposite side, try 7 times to bite his tongue. Such a simple trick helps a person does not explode, do not do something silly, of which he may regret later."

Just remember, the next time you are in an argument, bite the other person's tongue. Guaranteed to stop the argument in its tracks!

    lol

I wonder is that the same new hubber I quoted from above. Something like 12 hubs in 5 hours and a lot to do with relationships. I didn't look at his (her) other hubs. No doubt more of the same.

Go ahead, Pcunix, stick your tongue out so I can bite it!  It will guarantee that I win any and every debate we'll ever have!

In my very early HubPage days.  Then, rather than debate with you, I became a lurker and discovered that we have more in common than I'd have ever realized.  Same thing happened with earnest...eventually I grew to love him to bits.

Nope.  Neither of us really lost.  We agreed to disagree with a great deal of civility.  It was lovely.

I sort of took a dive into the Religion forums a little before I really knew what to expect.

Are you sure that was me?  It doesn't sound like  me..  I'm more of the "take no prisoners" sort.

And, that's exactly how you behaved with everyone in the thread....lol  But, I think you opened your mind to what I had to say and didn't act the a$$.  I do know that one of my hub friends said you'd made her cry once.  She left the site but later I talked her into coming back - briefly.

Truth be told - even if you had gone in with the harda$$ attitude, I'd have given you another chance.  I never judge a person by my first impression of them. I've had people I wanted to pummel at our first meeting turn into my dearest friends.

Not to mention, I just love SMART guys...and you have proven that you're one smart dude.
