No, not for drunk driving, indecent exposure, child molestation.

You might want to check up on Clooney's history with Sudan. He walks the walk...

Yes he does. No one can fault him for being insincere. He was THERE.

I don't think that's why Clooney did it. He's a quite sincere guy. How do you feel, as a good Christian, about the situation in Sudan, Dave?

[I think you may have got Clooney mixed up with Mel Gibson.]

or domestic violence or lewd behavior or any of that good stuff!  Maybe that's why Fox and others aren't saying much at all about it!

Clooney's dad and a couple of congressmen also were arrested. Sudan had a responsibility to distribute aid that was sent from overseas, they failed in that, and these guys are bringing focus to what happened. I think they are doing good, and should be applauded.

Setting yet another new standard of coolness. Not political correctness.
I can't imagine getting arrested with my dad.
    Clooneys rock!

George Clooney has always been pretty outspoken about issues he believes in, so protesting an injustice simply as a publicity stunt would be totally out of character.  Same for his dad. Nice to see celebs with a backbone, even if it means getting arrested for doing so.  'Walking the walk'. Definitely!

More celebs should be willing to use their celebrity for REAL good, not just to promote a movie or sell a line of cosmetics, clothes or perfume.

George Clooney's dad, Nick Clooney, was a much-respected TV news anchorman, first in Lexington KY, then in Columbus and Cincinnati OH.  At one time he had his own morning show (a la Good Morning America) before moving to Los Angeles where he was a co-anchor.  After L.A., he had the same position in Salt Lake City before moving back to KY, where he was the leading candidate for a seat in Congress until his opponent adopted the campaign motto "Heartland vs Hollywood", a play on Nick's ties to the movie capital through singer-sister Rosemary and rising star son George.

George and Nick went to Darfur, Sudan in 2006 and together filmed the acclaimed documentary, A Journey to Darfur. Meaning they both have oodles of street cred to protest conditions in the Sudan.

Nick, btw, is as drop-dead gorgeous and charming as his son.  Google him for a look-see.

"Hey dad remember that time we got arrested? The food was terrible, got a foot fungus from the shower." I'm sure they'll have a funny story to tell the grandkids.

At the rate George is going (or not going), the grandkids won't be his... hmm

        A pity, really.
