"Unplugged metal detector triggers JFK chaos:
"These fools are keeping us safe?!?
The TSA’s bungling reached a new low yesterday when a JFK Airport terminal had to be evacuated and hundreds of passengers marched back through security screening all because one dimwitted agent failed to realize his metal detector had been unplugged, sources told The Post."

That is just the tip of the iceberg. The TSA is nothing more than a conditioning tool used by our government to get us use to being groped and serched anytime we try to travel. That is why they now cover buses and trains. Next, they will be at state border's.
seems TSA and fiascoes go hand in hand. ..
sad state of affairs . . across the board.
Sounds like a good subject for a sitcom.
Sounds like a good subject for a sickcom is more like it. How many rads does a person get every time they go thru a naked machine- that's what I'd like to know?
things get through a lot I bet. They just look for the obvious (I hope) and sometimes not so obvious.
Bungling? Dimwittedness? An extremely trivial price to pay for "Catastrophe Protection" of which the TSA contributes immensely - A continuance of this critical national security policy is welcomed by those individuals whom frequent domestic and international air travel despite imbecilic, petty Republican whining and crying for obvious attempted political reasons -
Here's the Republican charade - If TSA did not conduct necessary probing and another life changing event occurred via airline takeover and or similar criminal act, gastric Republicans like Sean Hammerhead would inevitably try to place blame on the President and his administration, and we all know that's a fact -
So, which scenario would you prefer?
A) Flying safely to and from your destination as a consequence of a TSA Agent possibly indulging in a free, fleeting, highly distorted glimpse of your fun zone -
or
B) While in flight, watching that foul minded terrorist giggle with demonic intent as he / she lights your fun zone on fire with a gallon of gasoline ignited gleefully by a 4th of July sparkler - All this and possibly more as a result of eliminating the TSA in favor of relaxed security precautions -
I guess the choice is yours - I will personally accept the occasional TSA "Bungling & Dimwittedness" in exchange for a safe flight so I can Protect & Preserve the beloved "Fun Zone" god gave me -
They count on mindsets such as yours so they can freely groped us and our children. The TSA has stolen thousands of dollars, tablets, jewerly and the list goes on. They have hired pedophile's as well, did you know that?

People, you need to realize you are being conditioned. A little bit here, a little bit there; goes a long way in the long run. Especially when you grow up in such an enviroment. You automatically accept it as you get older in such a system.
I would rather take my chances with the terrorists. As someone else mentioned, the accumulated effect of being x-rayed so much (for regular flyers) cannot be safe. It's not like there are terrorists hiding around every corner ya know.
But that's what the politicos want you to believe. All over the world, down through history, despotic rulers raise a straw dog as distracting flack for the oppressed to shift attention away from the crappy-ass rulers.

TSA: How to explain to your child that the groping is 'OK" as opposed to other strangers:
well ... it could be worse (better?) if used bomb sniffing dogs instead, ( a dog's "dream" job?)
"An Explosive Detector Dog, (EED), could make a person experience fear producing an odor that the dog may react to. Perhaps as with the WBI inspectors hidden away from view of the people being scanned, the EED's may be situated behind a Glory Hole to avoid unwarranted humiliation by airplane passengers." http://voices.yahoo.com/beyond-full-bod … 35808.html

Your Choice: Being groped? Or being photographed nude? Has the TSA invasive searches made you decideNOT to go home for Thanksgiving or Christmas? Are the invasive new TSA airport screening procedures justifiable? Top federal security officials said that the procedures are safe and...

If you set off the metal detector at the Air Port and are singled out for a TSA search, do you...opt for the full body pat down or the full body scan!

Do you think that the TSA is violating the citizen's Fourth Amendments Rights?I just heard the Diane Rehm show where I learned the New York airports will not allow the scanners. I also found a super new animated video which shows how the people are responding. This has truly caused a powerful...

Should airports be able to hire private security to replace the TSA?Some are questioning the TSA's ability to properly screen travelers; many have had bad TSA experiences. Should there be alternative options to the TSA?

Has the intrusive TSA airport security reduced your use of air travel? The airline industry is one greatly struggling to keep afloat. One major reason is, of course, the big rise in the cost of fuel. I wonder, too, how much of the public who used to travel by air no longer do so because of the...
