What is the most interesting place or event you ever visited?

   A couple years ago I marched in the Chicago Gay Pride parade. I think it is probably the most interesting place, or event I have ever been a part of. There were thousands of marchers, and over 750,000 spectators. Just to see all of those thousands of faces looking at you and smiling and waving, and the positive engery all around you was quite an experience. I have also been to Toronto Pride and Montreal Pride which had over 2 million in attendance each. But, being in the parade, that was a very special moment in my life, and one I'll never forget. To see all of the work that goes into an event like that is really something.
   
   The next most interesting place I have visited would be Niagra Falls. But, it wasn't just the natural beauty of the falls that I found interesting, it was the vast difference between the American side of the falls, and the Canadian side. The American side seemed like a dirty, construction ridden tourist trap, where you couldn't actually see the falls without being taken on an expensive tour of them. While the Canadian side offered all kinds of ways to see the falls, with beautiful flowering gardens, and high tech towers where you could view the falls from a revolving restaurant. I liked it much better than the US.
   
   The next interesting place for me would be the city of Montreal Canada. Beautiful and clean. Add to that that almost everyone you met spoke french, made me feel like I had taken a trip to Europe. There was also quite a bit to do there, from huge shopping malls, to a Six Flags amusement park right across the bridge from downtown. Their old town section makes me wonder how much older Canada is than the US. They even had an entire mall with nothing but chinese stores. Very interesting city. I was shocked though that in some places they were selling porno right at ankle level on the sidewalks, and one store in downtown even had a live "sex" display in the window right next door to the mall!
   
   Canadian's certainly are not shy!

   I suppose I would have to say that the most interesting place I visited was Las Vegas. Note that I said "interesting", not "best".
   
   Come to think of it, I just remembered Sequoia National Park. That is my choice for both interesting and best.

   Probably the most interesting place I've visited is Dubai. There is such a diverse blend of people and cultures there.

      Im planning my Dubai visit hopefully nesxt year with my best friend! what recommendations would you suggest as to the places to visit? i heard commuting has become very convenient for tourists?

         Commuting in Dubai has become much more convenient than before. Many malls now have stations inside the malls themselves, and metro red lines, metro taxis and buses available to take you directly from one mall to another!

   Probably my year as an expeditioner on Macquarie Island in the sub-Antarctic.  Extremely interesting place.  But then again, my year in Madang in Papua New Guinea was also fascinating.  I count myself lucky that the jobs I held earlier in my life allowed me to not only visit, but to live and work in some of the greatest places in the world.

   Since im from the philippines i would say one of the interesting place i ever visited was Boracay. The place is just like paradise. everything is perfect.
