Has Anyone had Hubpages Suggest a title for them while Creating a Hub?

   I was just creating a hub about Grace Kelly, and as soon as I typed her name in the title area Hubpages popped up a title suggestion stating this is an "exclusive" title that should get good traffic. Has anyone had this happen? If so, did that hub get a lot of traffic?

      Yep, these are 'exclusive' titles available to hubbers with a score of 80+.  Presumably there has been some keyword research done into these titles, and they are on topics that are not saturated on the site.  I think this is like the apprenticeship program where initially you have titles given to you if you are an apprentice.  The titles I've found are very specific so perhaps my topics have been too broad so far.
      
      Potentially this could be very good, I'm going to write the next 10 hubs according to the suggested titles, give it a bit of time and see whether they do better than my other hubs.

      I have noticed it, but haven't actually chosen one of the titles. I suspect "exclusive" here has the meaning of "so incredibly niche that no is ever going to search for it ever". But hey, I'm not going to write it off yet. If it ever suggest a title which is actually *good*, I might use it.

   I published my first 'exclusive' hub yesterday and will be monitoring it to see how it does.
   
   Strange thing is, that when I ran the actual keyword phrase through Market Samurai, it came up as low volume search and high competition.
   
   As  aalite has already said, I presume that some keyword research has been already undertaken for the recommendations.
   
   I do like the feature though and will be testing it out on a few more hubs to see how it fares.

   I ran an "exclusive" title through a keyword tool. While the exact term is only present on about 250 sites, the results stated that it gets an average of 24 searches a month and that the predicted traffic for a site which ranks in first place for the term is 5 visits a month.
   
   Achieving 5 visits a month will not save such a hub from being ZZZZZed almost immediately, but it is unlikely to reach first place and succeed in getting even that level of miserly traffic.
   
   What is the point of suggesting a title for a hub that Hubpages itself will deem unworthy of being indexed?

      I haven't bothered checking the keywords with keyword tool, but it did strike me that a lot of them were very specific, I just couldn't see getting a lot of traffic for them.  This has been my impression of the HP philosophy, when I read the learning centre, go for very specific topics, admittedly you might rank for them, but will you get enough views?
      
      But then again their is the power of the long tail keyword.  A couple of my hubs don't rank at all for their chosen keywords and yet get a few hits a day for other queries.  The only thing to do is to write some hubs with the title and see what happens, it has to be several hubs though, you can't really tell from one or two.  I do wonder what their parameters are for choosing the titles?

      Well, it is only giving you results based on what you type in. If, for example, you put in the keyword "painted knife" and it gives the term "Painted knives are great gifts!" and it only gets ten hits a month, the problem isn't that HubPages is steering you wrong but that you've just gotten the most search friendly title for a low traffic topic.
      
      I like that it has some topics ready for something that might be super-niche since, hopefully, it won't prevent people from writing about their interests.

         Except that when I typed in "frog" which happens to be my interest (don't ask) it doesn't suggest anything. So no, I don't think it gives you the most search friendly title for the word you type, I think it has a database of search friendly titles, and if your word is not in the database it doesn't give you anything.  So I would expect the titles it suggests to have the potential for good traffic.

   Hi Nesbyte. Glad you found the Exclusives feature. Having been release less than a month ago, this feature is too new for anyone to be able to give an accurate report on actual traffic. In aggregate the numbers are looking very promising.
   
   I went ahead and recategorized this discussion since it wasn't actually a feature suggestion.

   Skarlet, I received an email from HP about that feature last week.  I can not find it now, but  those exclusive titles are considered a bonus for authors at or above a certain score.  I have written two hubs with those titles, but only recently.  So I do not know about the traffic just yet.
