Why is it so secret? The very existence of the Bilderberg Group was denied for over 50 years . . .
The meeting will take place this year (June 6 – 9, 2013) at the Grove Hotel, Watford, in the UK, but the list of over 100 attendees is shrouded in utter secrecy . . .why?
SOME REGULARS . ..
David Rockerfeller, from whom we have this quote
"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years........It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
- David Rockefeller in Baden-Baden, Germany 1991, thanking major media for keeping secret for decades the Bilderberg meetings and the movement towards a One World Government.
Henry Kissinger, from whom we have this quote
"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order. Tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all the peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing that every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."
- Henry Kissinger, in an address to the Bilderbergers group, May 21, 1992- Evian, France.

Normally, every move these powerful public figures make is subject to intense public and media scrutiny. These people make NEWS!
BUT . . . for Bilderberg, their agenda are simply blank . . why do they not publicise their attendance? What are these powerful movers and shakers doing that requires such intense secrecy?
So, who is attending in 2013?.
Wouldn't you like to know? Do you know?

Duh? No one knows who will be in attendance until they actually show up at the conference! A list of all attendees is published each year after the event.

Did you notice that there are six unanswered questions in the OP statement and two more in the title? Do some people believe that unanswered questions are evidence of a conspiracy? If someone lists a hundred unanswered questions about your life, is this proof you are trying to be secret about yourself? Why do many conspiracy believers place a greater importance on unanswered questions and unsupported innuendo then they do on the lack of credible, verifiable facts? Do all of my questions prove the suspicion contain in the OP statement is totally wrong or just rationally flawed? Would intelligent readers want to see more facts and fewer unanswered questions? Is it not obvious that a whole bunch of words followed by question marks is an admission that the writer has substituted unanswered questions to cover the absence of real facts? Finally, did you notice how many question marks were used in this paragraph and how they are designed to sway your thinking without the need for persuasive arguments? Do you think I have gone far enough with these meaningless unanswered questions?

"Why is it so secret?"
Must not be that much of a secret you just posted a butt load of stuff.
You mean some powerful guys get together for some leisure time, maybe talk a little business here and there, and don't want to be disturbed?! SAY IT AIN'T SO!!
I believe, although I have no proof ()
that Bohemian Grove along the Russian River is the debauched leisure activities location
for the great and powerful,
whereas Bilderberg Group is where nefarious New World Order business is discussed.
Notice both have the initials B.G.
Coincidence? Or plot?
Only Alex Jones knows for sure!
you forgot another B.G. . . . .Bill Gates. . .who thinks it is better to provide vaccines instead of food, clean drinking water and proper sanitation for starving children in Africa!!
Good evening, Sannyasinman.
You make a very good point. It is free of fringe rhetoric and unanswered questions. I know why Bill Gates and his associates are targeting the elimination of Polio and not Africa’s infrastructure. While both will save millions of lives, he has enough money to accomplish the first objective and not enough to do the latter.
My compliments on raising a valid point
Public Prosecutor of Rome to Investigate Bilderberg Group on Allegations of Corruption and Conduct of Politicians
Written by Andrew Puhanic
An Italian Lawyer from Italy, Alfonso Luigi Marra, has gone to the extraordinary length to request that the Public Prosecutor of Rome investigate the Bilderberg Group.
However, rather than only implicating the Bilderberg Group as Ferdinando Imposimato is trying to do, Lawyer Alfonso Luigi Marra has even gone to the extraordinary length to implicate the Italian Prime Minister, Mario Monti (another Bilderberg Group regular attendee) and has asked the Public Prosecutor of Rome to Investigate the Bilderberg Group.
http://www.theglobalistreport.com/bilde … stigation/
Will Mr. Marra die unexpectedly?
When in 2008 they gathered from June 5 to 8 in Chantilly, Virginia – just a stone’s throw from the Washington DC – Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were neck-in-neck in the battle for the Democratic Party’s presidential candidacy.
On June 5 of that year, Barack and Hillary mysteriously “disappeared” for some hours “somewhere in the DC area.” Their agendas blocked out, they clearly sneaked off to “Meet the Bilderbergers.”
The media kept mum about that, save for an Associated Press report on the campaign trail saying that, "reporters traveling with Obama sensed something might be happening between the pair (i.e. Obama and Hillary) when they arrived at Dulles International Airport after an event in Northern Virginia and Obama was not aboard the airplane. Asked at the time about the Illinois Senator's whereabouts, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs smiled and declined to comment." (The AP dispatch “Obama and Clinton meet, discuss uniting Democrats” is, strangely, “no longer available” on their website).
Be that as it may, two days later, Hillary withdrew from the race and Obama became the presidential candidate. Did Bilderberg make Hillary “an offer she couldn’t refuse” to clear the way for Obama to the White House? Did they promise her that she would become his Secretary of State?
http://rt.com/news/bilderberg-power-us-obama-932/
Or did Hillary and Obama sneak off to have a quickie?
I mean, that's about as plausible.
Of course, I saw the released tape evidence.
http://youtu.be/jpCLSK2VfxU
Hey, Reality. It has been a while for us, hasn’t it.
You provided just what we need, more unanswered questions in lieu of facts!
I know you have been promoting suspicion of the Bilderberg Group for a couple of years and, maybe, rightfully so. What makes me suspicious of your suspicions are the endless unanswered questions, yours and others, that are designed to create an impression without having to provide evidence that supports the need for suspicion. With soooo many unanswered questions, I would think that, after 50 years, one of you would have come up with at least a couple of incriminating answers. But, alas, I hear of none.
As for your post, I can propose another scenario, equally plausible, and equally unsupportable by any facts. It is completely possible that Barack and Hillary hunkered down with their most trusted lieutenants and financial backers to negotiate a deal so one of them could make the dash to the finish line. It certainly would not be the first time a lagging primary contender suddenly dropped from the race and ended up with a prestigious post in the new administration. This is particularly likely when the money behind the runner up switches to support the forerunner. It is also possible these financial backers were also attending the Bilderberg conference. In any event, speculation is not necessarily truth; a smoking gun only proves the gun has been fired.
I may not have provided a convincing explanation for their mysterious disappearance but, clearly, neither have you. Facts, and only facts, are needed to prove your suspicions are valid.
Be good, my friend, and always follow your bliss.
Now questions are being asked in the European Parliament by MEPs about the Bilderberg Group and why there has been no mainstream media coverage in its 50 year secret history . .
“The secrecy confirms the belief of many that the hidden agenda and purpose of the Bilderberg Group is to bring about undemocratic World Government” - Euro MP Gerard Batten

By the way, the next Bilderberg Meeting is (apparently) to be held on June 6-9 2013 at the Grove Hotel Watford, UK. As usual before the event, the location and the list of attendees is kept secret. .
They just might get more accurate answers by asking the media why they don't report it than by asking a group of politicians, all ignorant of the subject.
I have to say as well, that not knowing why the media doesn't report on the group simply does NOT support the belief that the agenda and purpose of the group is to bring down current governments. That conclusion can only be drawn by someone totally uninterested if factual truth and that has fallen deep within yet another conspiracy theory based on nothing at all.
For over 50 years, the Bilderberg Group denied its very existence. Anyone who suggested that a group of the most powerful people on the planet, including royalty, Presidents, Bankers and CEOs meet in total secrecy every year was laughed at and ridiculed.
5 years ago you too would have scoffed at anyone who believed that the Bilderberg Group even existed. Now its existence is "fact".
And you really think that all this secrecy is necessary for a few kindly old men to sit around the fireside and swap stories, discuss golf handicaps and charitable works? Really? Did you read the quote from David Rockerfeller thanking the maistream media for their collusion in keeping the Bilderberg affairs so secret, and stating clearly why the secrecy was so necessary to their plans?
Well here it is again . .
Even now, it is only supposition as to where and when their meeting will take place this year.
None of which answers your question of why the media didn't report it. If you want an answer to that, why don't you ask the media?
As far as secrecy - do you post your personal diary each day over a half dozen social sites? No? You must be planning world domination. Anyone NOT making every second of their day public obviously is...
You know, there are an awful lot of people that think a one government world is preferable to a world with 200 different governments all fighting between themselves and killing each other. The UN was the first step, but it won't be the last.
That doesn't make it some kind of devilish, evil ideal; it means that at least some people have their head on straight. This tired old ball of dirt probably would be better off with a single government; at least most wars would stop!
Of course, differing ideologies will make that goal very difficult to achieve, but it could happen one day. End racism, discrimination, religious domination, and all the other ways we humans mistreat each other simply because of perceived minor differences and a one world government becomes nearly inevitable.
To answer your questions . .
Media reporting - The Rockerfeller quote states precisely why the media did not report it – they are in collusion, he even thanks them for the role they play.
My personal agenda – I am not a public figure whose agenda is normally planned months in advance, and subject to intense media scrutiny as a matter of course, unlike the Bilderberg attendees.
Wars would stop – yes between nations and religions, but they will be replaced with new wars . . wars against Truth, Honesty, Justice and Freedom. Wars against freedom of expression. Goodbye democracy, hello Totalitarianism. These wars have already started.
They are in collusion - I presume you are in possession of audio/video recordings of media/Bilderberg discussion limiting media reporting? No? Then what proof do you have they are in collusion? A thank you from Rockefeller doesn't make it.
You're not public and thus do not need to inform the world of your plans. Well, neither is the Bilderberg group. That you wish them made public doesn't cut it, either - if they wish privacy that is their concern, not yours.
Those wars have been going on a long, long time. One needs only witness the crazy claims against the Bilderberg group to see the war on truth , honesty, justice and freedom. You're demanding their freedom be abridged; that their private comings and goings be made known to you. You have provided much innuendo and supposition but no truth or real honesty. All in the name of Justice, but what happened to justice for the Bilderbergs?
+1
I understand why a secret meeting of the wealthiest men in the world makes people nervous and prone to illogical conclusions and conspiracy theory but every person and every private group has a right to privacy and freedom of assembly.
Just so. That those people, with all their wealth and power, could make sweeping changes in society in no way means that they are.
The concept of "innocent until proven guilty" goes out the window when uneasiness and worry abound and the fearmongers strike with the power of the internet behind them.
Are you a proponent of a NWO?
I am not, and I don't intend to be argumentative, but...
How would a World government be any different from a multinational or republic government?
Using the former USSR, only because it is the first "multinational" (as in a republic of former nations), and because I don't feel the urge to research a better example... rebellions, revolutions, secessions.
Would not factional "wars" under a one-world-government be the same as what we have now?
Would not the only way it could be different be if it were so powerful as to prohibit such "wars"? You trust in the goodness of their human nature enough to place the power over all mankind in the hands of a few egalitarians?
Money may buy power and influence - but it does not automatically include good intentions. That kind of money and power usually includes the human baggage of greed and avarice. History is full of examples that illustrate that point.
As for the Bilderberg Group... an off-shoot of the Illuminati perhaps?
Oops, I'm rambling now, I was just surprised to hear you speak as a proponent of the NWO. I still prefer the trials, tribulations, and inequities of self-governance.
GA
You perhaps misunderstand - I think a one government earth could be a wonderful thing. Mostly, perhaps, because of the changes in mankind that will have to precede it for any such government to be successful.
We are in no way ready for one government, or even a dozen. To install such a thing at this time would require massive force; force that will destroy a majority of the human species.
Whew! Good to hear. I won't hijack the thread with further response.
GA
You needn't fear; not being a Bilderberg, I couldn't accomplish it if wanted to!
You clearly know nothing about what Bilderberg is really about.. or their plan for the world
If you really want to know (and you should because it is far more important than the mainstream media will have you believe), take the time to watch this speech from the site of the Bilderberg meeting this year.. . .and try not to shoot the messenger before hearing the message
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl … rAH-nrXk#!
And you DO know what it is about? And the details or even generalities of their plan for the world?
I have to ask - how in the world did you get that information from a group of people whose meetings are so secret that no one has every reported what was said in one? That no one even knows the location of and so cannot put the meeting under surveillance?
As I suspected, you try to shoot the messenger to avoid paying attention to the message.
Once again, I say to you, WATCH THE VIDEO . . . it will answer all of your questions, and even some you have never thought of asking . .

Hi again, Sannyasinman.
Secrecy can be expunged by knowledge but, by itself, secrecy confirms absolutely nothing.
Hi there, Sannyasinman.
Thanks you for all of your Bilderberg threads. Exactly how many did you start? 3,4,5? My research reveals that all of your claims of secrecy concerning both attendees and agenda are pure rubbish. They are the product of conspiracy fixation and lazy research. Here is a small sample of publicized items from over 130 published references. I have intentionally excluded all publications after the year 2000 and those before 2000 not printed in English. Read and learn:
Joseph Retinger is reported as the founder and secretary of Bilderberg Group (1954 to 1960) in his obituary published in The Times on June 13, 1960. {1}
Bilderberg is openly reported in The Times on March 20, 1964 and again on April 3, 1965:
"The main purpose of M. Defferre's visit however, is to attend the annual Bilderberg Colloquy at which leaders of western thought are invited to speak their minds in the strictest secrecy." {2}
"The Duke of Edinburgh took part today in the opening session of the Bilderberg meeting at the Villa d'Este on Lake Como." {3}The Washington Post, March 30, 1963:
“CANNES, France, March 29, 1963 NATO Commander Gen. Lyman Lemnitzer and Belgian Foreign Minister Paul-Henri Spaak arrived here today to take part in the secrecyshrouded annual "Bilderberg Conference" on world affairs. {4}It turns out everyone knew about the Bilderberg Group, Sannyasinman. Your claim that the group denied its own existence is an oxymoron. It is not impossible for a group that does not exist to go about saying that they do not exist.
Papers relating to Garret FitzGerald’s tenure as Ireland’s Minister for External Affairs, 1973–77 list the Bilderberg conference among his official duties: “Ministerial meetings: briefing documents and reports relating to the Minister’s meetings both at home and abroad and including the Council of Ministers of the EC, European Summit meetings, the United Nations General Assembly, the Organisation for European Cooperation and Development [OECD], and the Bilderberg Conference.” {5}
There was a very informative Associated Press article reprinted in Penn State University’s The Daily Collegian in 1976, “Bernhard launched the secret Bilderberg meetings in 1954, saying top government and business officials from North America and Western Europe should be able to talk with total frankness behind closed doors.” {6}
The Washington Post noted on April 24, 1978, "The three-day 26th Bilderberg Meeting concluded at a secluded cluster of shingled buildings in what was once a farmer's field. Zbigniew Brzezinski, President Carter's national security adviser, Swedish Prime Minister Thorbjorrn Falldin, former secretary of state Henry Kissinger and NATO Commander Alexander M. Haig Jr. were among 104 North American and European leaders at the conference." {7}
There was no sign of secrecy when Journalist Jean Stead wrote in The Guardian on April 28, 1986: "The 34th Bilderberg conference ended at Gleneagles Hotel, Perthshire, yesterday after a debate on the South African crisis attended by Prince Charles. He arrived for the economic debate on Saturday and stayed overnight at the hotel." {8}
I found a Bilderberg article containing a touch of humor too. "Mr. Paddy Ashdown is not yet wholly at ease with the trappings of office, even if the office in question is only that of leader of the Social and Liberal Democrats. Attending the Bilderberg Conference of European political leaders in Spain last week, he was deeply impressed by the splendour of the official cars and the intensity of the security precautions laid on for his arrival. Reaching the conference headquarters at last, he sank into a chair and said to his neighbour: 'Hello, I'm Paddy Ashdown.' The neighbour smiled diffidently, put out his hand, and said: 'Hello, I'm the King of Spain.'" {9}You have all these questions and you make no attempt to find the answers by yourself. Read the list of more than 30 attendees published by the Toronto Star in 1996. “Lord Carrington, Conference chairman; former NATO secretary-general; Francisco Pinto Balsemao, Former prime minister of Portugal; Queen Beatrix, Netherlands; Lloyd Bentsen, Former treasury secretary, U.S.; Carl Bildt …” [snipped for brevity] {10}
All the claims of attendee secrecy are ludicrous. In 1998, the Rt. Hon. Kenneth Clarke (Rushcliffe) declared in Parliament’s Register of Members' Interests under category 5. Gifts, benefits and hospitality (UK) “14-17 May 1998, I attended the Bilderberg Conference at Turnberry in Scotland. I paid my own travel expenses to and from the Conference, but my accommodation for three nights was paid for me by the organisers. (Registered 10 June 1998)” {11}
Again, in 1999: “3-6 June 1999, to Portugal, to attend Bilderberg meetings. I paid for my own air fare; the hotel accommodation for three nights was paid for by the organisers. (Registered 9 June 1999)” {12}
It seems, Sannyasinman, all the claims of secrecy and world dominance are totally unjustified. You could have found all of this information for yourself if you wanted to. Stop and think for just a moment or two about the security needed to protect such a gathering of royalty and world dignitaries. Too many conspiracy advocates are confusing secrecy with security and confidentiality. They certainly are not searching for the truth.

So, if everything is as transparent as you suggest, it should be a simple matter for you to provide the meeting location and a list of attendees for 2013 . . probably from the maistream media without resorting to so called "conspiract sites"
This would be a simple matter for the Davos annual conference, or a G20 summit.
Oh, and the Rockerfeller quote which thanks the mainstream medie for their collusion on maintaining the required secrecy so as to be able to advance their "plan for the world!?
??? You gave the date and place yourself earlier - do you need it repeated again? As far as attendees, it hasn't happened yet so who went cannot be known. You might claim that you know who went to a future Davos conference but that hardly means that you actually know until after it happens.
He did not thank them for their collusion; you provided the link yourself (again) and Rockerfeller never mentioned any collusion. Presumably the "promises of discretion" were what got them into the meetings; this is a rather common practice of giving media "off the record" information to keep them quiet. Or we could imagine that all media in the world is also a part of the giant Bilderberg world domination plan; that they were promised powerful places in the hierarchy of the powerful after the takeover in return for the promise of silence.
Dear Wilderness,
It seems that your real motivation here, is not one of concern for truth or public safety, but a desire to be clever, to win the argument and have the last word at any cost.
You twist and turn, zoom in on particular words or phrases and use them out of context, basically whatever it takes to win, and be right. Well if that is your objective, I bid you good day, here and now.
I actually wrote an article about this situation entitled "At war with a Self Righteous mind", which says much more than I care to say again here.
You're right in that my concern and posts here are not about Monsanto or public safety.
It IS, however very much about truth and seeing unverifiable or totally false claims being presented as truth. I will absolutely zoom in on phrases that say one thing while attempting to give another impression. It is deceitful and, and the bottom, is little more than another way to lie.
I do agree that we've interacted enough here. I've made my point, that most of what you are posting is either outright lie or spun comments intended to give an impression at odds with what is said. You have read those comments elsewhere and taken them as gospel, more than ready to repeat them here - you would be much better off to actually research a project and look for statements from a variety of both pro AND con sources than to swallow some of this obvious garbage as truth.
May we meet again when there are actual facts on the table for discussion rather than insinuations and opinions being presented as truth.
Hey there, Sannyasinman. I am sorry I took so long to reply.
Now that the Bilderberg Conference is over, it is possible for me provide a list of attendees for 2013. Yes, the information is available in the main stream media and I did not have to resort to so called “conspiracy sites.”
