I recently found that someone had stolen one of my hubs and literally copy and pasted it into his own space on bubblews.com. He didn't even have enough sense or time to take my name and copyright symbols off of the article itself before posting it under his account!!!!! Here's his plagiarized version:
http://www.bubblews.com/news/121418-fin … e-or-water
And here's my owned and copyrighted version:
http://kittythedreamer.hubpages.com/hub … ater-Wicca
WTF. If I were you I'd check this site for other plagiarized articles/hubs:
bubblews.com/
Hi kittythedreamer,
It's such a bummer when this happens! Grumpface. >:-(
Be sure to file a DMCA Complaint to get the stolen content taken down.
I just clicked the link and there is a message saying that the article does not exist on that site.
It must have been removed. When I clicked on the link, it said it wasn't there. Bubblews might have removed it if they got word; they'll do that kind of thing.
The people at Bubblews have removed the article and responded to my email promptly. So happy!
File a complaint with bubblews. Here is the link to their complaint form: http://www.bubblews.com/contact
Maybe it's a fluke but I got this message when I clicked your link: The requested URL news/121418-find-out-your-element-are-you-earth-air-fire-or-water was not found on this server.
Perhaps they took it down?
Gave me the same message as RmCreech. How do we check for our content, or did you find it.
I would just go to bubblews.com and search for your name or some of your article names.
An easy way to find if someone is stealing your content is to copy 1 - 3 sentences from your hub. From there go to Google, paste your sentence(s) and put quotes around it (for exact match). There should be only one result.
Yep, looks like they took the article down. I had sent the company a complaint. Thanks everyone.
Glad you got it worked out! The worst thing someone can do is steal your hard earned work.
ncconur: It is not a scam company. They do pay as long as you don't break any rules, and if you do, they send warning messages first. I have never had an issue with not getting payments.
They do frown on copied content that is not your own,. If it is an article that you wrote, and deleted it from another site, you can post it, but have to acknowledge that you are the original writer.
The one who copied your Hub, won't get paid, and may lose their account.
Must you have deleted it from another site, or can it be posted to both? Do they not allow double-posting even if it is your original content?
Yes, I agree, Linda. I've been on there since April, been paid every time I cashed out. Gossip still abounds about that site. Pretty funny. They're doing their best to deal with cheaters. Probably it will be easier for them to 86 the scrapers, spinners, and spammers after the upgrades.
I really wonder how you get your payments.... I have been struggling like hell - no reasons offered, no payments made and a very unresponsive support...
Interesting! I'm close to my first redemption on Bubblews, and I hope they do pay up. However, reading a recent article by someone on there who's very popular, I'm starting to feel a bit skeptical about the site.
A recent article posted by TonyHLeather, titled "Time for a break" has discouraged me from creating further content on the site until I receive my first payment. I'll leave my profile as it is until my earnings reach payout from the current daily views I'm receiving.
Basically, The administration team have contacted Tony and informed him that he is costing them money because the click through rate on the advertisements around his posts are too low. He receives more than 2,000 views, likes and comments on an average day.
They encourage you to create content, to become popular, and to share your work, then complain about it. :-/
Linda, I"ve read several comments about them not paying or paying selectively :p
mconur, Right now the site is growing so quickly, that they can't keep up. From what I've heard any payment that you didn't get, if you notify them, they will take care of it.
I don't know how they are earning enough money to stay afloat though. They have very few ads.
Since the censorship issues here at HP I have been using Bubblews and being paid on a regular basis so they do pay as long as you do not use previously published material.
I would assume that if you unpublished a noindex hub here, and deleted the url via Google Webmaster Tools from search and cache, it would be okay to publish on Bubblenews?
Note: I love the word "censorship" in relation to Hubpages, lol. They have officially killed off about 45 to 50 of my hubs here.
That is alot of hubs and like you I once had 100 hubs here and now have 40. I did not use Google webmaster tools at all but just deleted the non featured hubs that were on HP and transferred them over to Bubblews. I am on my fourth redemption now. I did make a note on all of the hubs I transferred to Bubblews that they were previously published on HP and removed by me.
Wow! I need to check to see if anyone has stolen one of my articles!
Probably google has removed it already. I had the same issue a week ago and wrote to google and yes, google erased the content immediately.
I am coming from the other side of this, I just received an email from hubpages stating that I had violated a copyright thing from someone! I was terrified! and its a horrible feeling. I wrote a hub quite a while ago, and it was back when we used photos without thinking about it. I did put the link underneath but it was someone elses photo. I got the message, went straight to it and changed all the photos as I have no idea which one was the bad one. I felt so bad.
So I am going to check my other hubs to see if I can change some of them especially the older ones.
Phew! talk about panic, I plagiarised, or copyrighted a photo and felt bad, so how do other people do it deliberately?! I would feel so darn guilty!
Whew! I better go back and do that with my old ones...yikes...thanks Nell!
soulfully: He has 7 posts on bubblews and not 2000 views, more like a total of 491 wth a total of 33 views.
You must be looking at the profile of TonyLeather (someone who copied his name) TonyHLeather is the one you're looking for. He has over 40k likes and 195558 total views. I'm looking at his profile right now. Read his latest post called "time for a break"
Clicked the link and showed "The requested URL news/121418-find-out-your-element-are-you-earth-air-fire-or-water was not found on this server. "
No, they're certainly not the same person. I think you're again mistaken.

These Thieves are back up again.. and once again monetized with that company that has a dollar each way on both the thieves and the Copyright owners... Google! It appears that much of the HubPages content has been shifted or merely re-published with all links, authors and previous publishing sources...

Usually I find a couple pieces of stolen article copy on different sites. Today, it's more than enough to make me comment here. HP notifies us, adds the complaint link, and the complaint file cut-paste copy but little else to build a brick wall against content thieves. For every click...

Is anyone else being plagiarized by free article websites?I recently discovered multiple 'free article' websites that have been copying my articles and pasting them to their own site. They give the web address to the original, but that doesn't make it okay when the entire article is right there....

The site petradarsdotcom has taken Pethelpful in its entirety (comments, author bio, ect). I was not notified by HP that these articles were copied, so I'm not sure if they are still checking our articles or not as these articles were initally posted back in March/April of this year. The very bottom...

Yep, it was. I looked up the owner of the blog and sent the suggested dmca info to them , no response.I delved further and found out it was on aTumblr site. I looked around and found a contact that deals with copyright issues. Sent the information. They replied promptly, asked a question or two and...

One of my articles on an HP niche site recently underwent the Premium Pro editing process. The editor decided to add about 800 words of her own research to supposedly "improve" my article. Personally, I hated the addition. I do not feel comfortable including other...
