I found a subreddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/thehubhub/
No one has been active there for a year... Until now!
I don't take credit for this forum and I don't know who created it (if it was you say hi) but I do know that it is the perfect place to share your hubs, explore other hubs, rate hubs and generate traffic.
Having links to your hubs on any site means they are more likely to be picked up right? And on this site we can vote each other's hubs up or down, we can create competitions and we can slowly become a real part of the Reddit community so that we will be able to spread the word about HP and create more interest and success.
So, who's with me? Let's relaunch this subreddit and share our articles on there now!
http://www.reddit.com/r/thehubhub/
Thanks for informing. I have just posted one of my hubs in this link and awaiting result.
Reckon it can't hurt to give it a try. Have you messaged the moderator listed to see if you can moderate?
I have not done that but it is a very good idea.
A post of mine is showing up, I'll try and have a look to see what's going on.
Right, message sent.
Let's see what happens.
Just joined although be forewarned that I'm reddit clueless.
Doesn't matter, we're all in this together!
I submitted an article this morning but it is yet to appear on there, even under "New"....
Mine is up there now! Come on redditters, let's have a game ![]()
I've had enough traffic through a post on there to gain a little red arrow on the hub I shared so that's good. I'm not sure if that was just a fluke though and I don't know who else has had such success.
I think for it to work we just all need to bite the bullet and post something, as well as searching for other people's which is difficult so far because of the stubborn year old posts that won't budge! We need to swarm it.
After 15 hours, I received one view, according to HP stats.
But the hubscore did increase. ![]()
I got 9 views on one and a little red arrow. Cute!
Not sure how reddit works. I have submitted a hub and voted up your hubs there. Thanks for the tips, Amy.
This is one place you can submit hubs night and day and not be a spammer. Because that is what this subreddit is for.
I used to post a lot of hubs there both mine and others I followed. I have to say that after an initial small flurry it never really did much for the ongoing traffic, although obviously I can't speak for the other hubber's hubs I posted.
Thanks for sharing your experience, you're probably right and that's probably how the majority of us will experience it: small flurries of traffic.
But traffic is traffic, it's worth a try ![]()
Cheers.
The best chance of it working will be if people post topical and humorous stuff of the type normal reddit users like. Reddit is not so much about the information article--they want to be amused. If good stuff for them floats to the top, they will start subscribing to it.
Alright cool, I'll take note of that. Hopefully other people will read this too.
Thanks for the advice!
I just found this thread and followed up by testing my first link on reddit. I'm wondering, though, if our links are shared among all reddit users or mainly only in our own subreddit (the hubbub). If it can be seen by other reddit users, then I agree that hubs related to general topics may do better. But if only seen by other Hubbers, then maybe it's best to submit links to hubs about subjects that are related to success with writing online.
I've noticed a few views come through from there. I'll take them.
Good! I'm glad. I've had a few come through as well

Why Reddit says "You've submitted too many links recently"?I was trying to submit a link on Reddit but it says I have submitted too many links recently, that is not true. I submitted lastly a week back! Any idea why it is so? If it is traced from IP address, then there is a chance as my...

As they say, "First impression always lasts", and with regards to Hubpages, we can say that "First Hub Comment, Always Lasts". We all feel nervous and excited with our first hub, thinking that it may not be read by other hubbers, or may not produce lot of traffic,...

Does anyone know why some submissions to niche sits are approved in 24 hours and others go 3 weeks or more. I had one that took over 3 weeks , but was finally approved. I have another now that I have been waiting on for over 3 weeks (The one I submitted 2 weeks after this one is already approved.)...

Ever since I started working with HubPages, I've received requests for a feature that makes it easy for:1. Signed-in Hubbers to suggest (private) edits to fellow Hubbers' Hubs2. Hubbers (who have opted in to the feature) to receive, review, and approve/deny suggested edits to one's own Hubs. This...

I can see some of my new hubs in Google when I search for "hub name".But in Webmaster Tools, I submitted a sitemap and it says 38 URLs submitted and 10 indexed.I used Fetch as Google for a few new hubs and ticked some as URL for new page and URL for re-crawling the site.I also have some...
