I slapped my monitor a few times in disbelief...I'm on the brink of a 100 hubscore.  Can the KID do it?

It said "The road to a 100" so i thought it would be a sort of support group for those of us with less shiny scores.  Thanks alot dohn.

Thanks, fiery, I really hope so.  It drives me nuts looking at all the top Hubbers and all of the GREAT ONES ]I have to leapfrog in order to reach the top.  I remember when I first began being proud of myself on just making the first 10 pages of the best hubscores.

Hang in there, it will happen.  I myself have yet to pass 98.  Lately have been hovering between 93 and 95.  Guess I'm not as social as I should be to reach that magical number 100.  Good luck to you.

two weeks...and already you are at the top...great.

I hate to burst your bubble-- but that score may go back down and up a few times before it reaches 100. 100's are elusive--hard to get and harder to maintain. I'm sure you can do it-- just don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen right away.

well, congratulations! I am happy you are happy with your score.  I would say, you should probablly try not to get overly concerned with your score tho....it could make you crazy.

In 2 weeks? Thats great dohn121, you will get there. I was ecstatic when i hit 94 a few days ago and was so proud of myself. So i can imagine how you feel at 98.
    Well done.

Congrats!  I haven't figured out the formula.  I hit 99 twice so I get I'm getting close.

No, I don't think I'm getting too ahead of myself...I only posted to forum because I reached the high-water mark of 99.  This morning, it was at a 97.  If anyone is interested on learning how to obtain a high hub score (but keep in mind I am still new here) it is my belief that it involves lots and lots of hubber interaction, hub hits, forum posting and maybe a little luck.  There are probably few other things that get factored in that I may of miss, but hey, I'm just telling you what worked for me.

Thank you denisematt, you are absolutely right.

Thanks Cam.  I saw you do it right before my eyes.  You inspire me.

Thanks Janetta.  Again you're right.  Once would be great...Nothing like the first time, right?

Sorry, Koby.  Didn't mean to mislead you.  I just spent a lot of time here and worked (I think) very hard.  Just a matter of time I guess.

Thanks, kasanova.  No one here becomes successful without hubber support.  No one does it on their own.  I owe it all to my fans who have taken the time out of the busy schedules to get to know me a little better.

Thank you all.  I'm in awe of my LUCKY success.  You guys MAKE me lucky.

It's alright, i shouldn't be taking my personal problems into your happy forum anyway. i think i'll just cry alone.

Good luck! I hope today's the day you hit 100!

Thanks, also for the advice.  If you haven't already, you should write a hub about the road to 100!

Hahaha!  That shouldn't be a problem.  Just put HP of the very top of your list of priorities and it's all down hill...Labor of love, I guess.

The highest I got was 98.  For the past several weeks it's been on the low end, between 90, 93.  I hit 96 today but it's tanking already.
I do not know what drives a high score.  Sometimes I don't do much and it's high, other times I publish and comment a lot and it goes down.  And yes, I know I shouldn't let it be a concern, but it does make me crazy.

  15. dohn121 profile image81
    dohn121posted 14 years ago

Somehow I missed saying thank you to you lafenty.  Some say I spend to much time hubbing.  I say I don't spend enough.

Thanks, Trish.  I believe that you can't really control what happens...Let's say you published a great hub on Michael Jackson during the time of (or right before) the time of his death.  Chances are, you're going to get a lot of views which will then of course drive your hub score up.  Sometimes your hot and sometimes your cold, I guess.

  16. trish1048 profile image67
    trish1048posted 14 years ago

You're welcome.  So, I guess the concensus is when you're hot, you're hot LOL.

Wish I could stay hot, that would make me happy smile

I don't think you will have any trouble hitting the 100 dohn. I  mean you already have more than 100 fans, a very high score, a hub in the hubnugget, 500 views (that was a couple of days ago so it's a lot more than that) in just 2 weeks! 100 will just be a bonus but you've already achieved so many things in two weeks. Good luck!

dohn121posted 14 years agoin reply to this

Thank you, emievil, that means alot coming from you.  Today, I'm a bit down at around a 97, but that could well rise, and I've been getting lots of views as of late...Last I checked and just a minute ago, I was over 1,600 views.  Amazing huh?  But none of this would not have been possible without hubbers like you guys.  I thank you for all your support.  Maybe it's just a matter of time, I guess!

Thanks, soni2006.  I hope so, just so I can stop gawking at my score for once!

The secret to hitting a high hubscore is by doing a lot of reading and commenting. I see out of yer 18 hubs not one has hit over the 90 mark. To me a good writer has 2 things, hubs with a score over 90 and Modesty.
