   what does bible say about eating of foodstuffs that resemble characters from the bible? do the toastar that make virgin mary is it cursed by god, a maker of false idols.  what if a person does not see the image and eat the toast?

      Although I'm sure this is a joke I'll answer it seriously.
      
      There were no cameras back then and no one was drawing pictures of any characters from the Bible. Any resemblance you may see to some statues you've seen are a resemblance to characters pulled from an artist's imaginations. Plus, anything you see in any edible substance is simply your imagination. Turn the toast around and you'll see something else. Or, slab some jam on the square and you'll change the view. Better yet, sell it on EBay to a toast art collector.
      
      Either way, there is some advice in the Bible about the danger of putting stock in graven images so,if you think someone is upstairs watching then you should eat the toast immediately.

         Is a statue of Jesus considered a graven image? If such a statue is not considered a graven image, then why is that? If it is, then doesn't that make the veneration of such statues a sin?

            I would say it could constitute being defined as such; depending on how the individual perceived it. Sin to venerate it? I don't know. I would think it would be unhealthy to venerate a statue of anything. But, I suppose it would really be determined by how the individual felt. I don't know anyone who venerates statues of Jesus, or even has one. If I run across someone I'll ask them and get back to you on that.

                  Well, if we are going to use the word sin in a sentence we should start with the fact that it is said we are all sinners. So, yes. In that context they are sinners.
                  
                  As to the rest? I can't say if what anyone else does is wrong or right. Could I ever do such? Probably not. I would consider it to be a show. For others. But, I also can't condemn others for their behavior without knowing the what and why.
                  
                  I am not in a position to determine anything concerning the use of the word sin other than that. Actions are simply echoes of our thoughts which are bounced around and warped by the vision and thoughts of others. To judge a warped little echo is kind of superficial. Don't you think?

                     Absolutely. Does that mean you disagree with your Christian colleagues' (I'm assuming you self-identify as Christian, but correct me if I'm wrong) trying to create legislation that forces people to live according to Christian beliefs?

                        I see absolutely nothing in the teachings or actions of Jesus which would imply it would be his will for me to attempt to force others to live by my beliefs. If someone could point out historical evidence where he suggested anyone attempt to become a member of the Roman senate so they could change the laws of Rome I might have to rethink my position.

                           I think that's one of the biggest issues many people have with those who hold religious belief. While people's opinions about public policy may be informed, inspired, influenced by their religious beliefs, it's unreasonable for public policy to be dictated by such beliefs. "God said so" is not a reasonable justification for making decisions tat impact on all of society.

                              Well, I agree that we shouldn't be swayed by a 'God said so' statement. Those are simply attempts to create some semblance of authority to someone's argument. Religion is like any other organization. It believes it has a majority and it starts throwing its weight around. To the detriment of the rest of us. I see no evidence of Christ in the voice of the coalition called the moral majority of America. And, I'm tired of so much tax payer money being spent on lawyers as they pass legislation which ultimately gets shot down after a lengthy and expensive court battle.

   I think it must be OK to eat Virgin Mary toast or else the Fred Flare "Holy Toast Miracle Bread Stamper" would not be available for sale. I got one for Christmas but I'll admit I never have opened up the package and tried it out.
   
   
   
   
   
   Incidentally, you can also get a fried egg mold that lets you cook your eggs in the shape of a machine gun. Machine gun eggs and Virgin Mary toast -- what a breakfast combo!
